So slow
I was having an amazing experience but I logged onto my app tonight and everything I had programmed was gone. I can't even set an alarm now. I tried using their support email but it does not work.

Awful. Android app is full of bugs and latest update is the worst. (Crashes, changes sounds or volume or can't connect). I had turned auto update off for this reason but somehow got toggled back on. Says disconnected no internet when our internet is perfectly fine. Troubleshooting tips dont help. Unacceptable. This is for babies and children, fix it. Fix it fast.

constant bugs with new updates, we have one adult and two kids devices and they're all different interfaces, yet none of them seem to keep the schedule we set them to - especially the kid ones. not to mention the upcharge for certain sounds (which was not the case when I bought my first hatch). I will be getting a different brand next time.
Very buggy- The scheduled color change feature spontaneously stopped working. The app/device also routinely has connectivity issues with my phone adding yet another task to constantly troubleshoot in parenthood. The user interface is poorly designed and inefficient to use. The whole experience is that of a cheaply/poorly made device with good marketing and sold for a premium price.

And then I emailed the support mailbox provided by the app, only for my email to bounce back saying this inbox is no longer monitored.
4th update. The app doesn't work if you have an android. They don't stand behind their product, and will gas light you when you bring an issue to their attention. At the same time they are more than happy to sell you an upgrade to what you already own. This company is a bait and switch company. Avoid them at all costs.
Keeps disconnecting and crashing. An absolute pain to use
app is horrendous. alarm clock is pretty awful. havent even used it and they began charging for premium. horrible service.
Broken. Crashes when I try to connect to my son's light. I'm unable to change any settings on the light anymore.

This app is so broken. it's an amazing product, but that means nothing when the product requires the broken app. there's a glitch right now where it won't let you set a cue sound without a hatch subscription unless you go to the library>cues>set the desired cue from there. I'll adjust my review once the app is functional and isn't trying to bait me into buying a subscription that should be built into such an expensive product with unfixed bugs. disappointing.
My phone can never connect. So annoying when you're trying to get kids to sleep and their light is wayyyy to bright to sleep with and messing around with it manually isn't an option.

Every few updates it breaks completely, and I can't even open the app. It just crashes.
Constantly disconnecting from the internet, making it very frustrating to use. Simply turning the light on and off with the app takes forever because of this.
Worst app, surprised this device is liked by so many and on so many registries. So difficult to make a simple schedule, the device is finicky when trying to use touch ring, and when it doesn't work scares my poor toddler because her safety light isn't on. This whole device serves such a simple function and sucks at it totally.

Almost nothing is available without the subscription. For a $200+ product, they should really make more options available. My phone comes with more options than this for crying out loud, and it does a million more things than this alarm clock does.
At some point, the Restore 3 stopped connecting no matter what fix I attempted. It's infuriating when my phone detects the product via Bluetooth, but it will only allow me to connect via the app which is still not working. Given the price of the product, it's annoying and not easy to use. There are many troubleshooting tips, yet none of them work.
randomly moving to a subscription model for sounds is wild, we've been using this app for years and this new update takes away over 50% of the sounds so they can charge you more. pathetic

can no longer access your schedules . just says loading forever. never loads. edit. I followed the steps for trouble shooting. it still doesn't work. the hatch chat service said to delete the account. what a horrible app.
I regret buying the hatch 3 restore alarm clock. To effectively use it, I need to pay extra money for sounds and colors, except the clock itself is costly.
App constantly crashes when I select my device to change the settings. Nothing works.
18.months later, we still haven't managed to set a single alarm. We occasionally try again in the hope we can get this terrible system to work, but so far, no luck. I wish I had never bought it!

It doesn't set up my device. when there is 4 minutes remaining its give error. 8 have Restore 1 model and underneath its mentioned Restore02 what the hell is this why so much confusion? Why not just make simple setup? its almost 3 hours and it give error.

Hard to express how much I hate Hatch now. Went from being the best purchase to the worst. First hatch was fantastic, reliable. Now most stuff is blocked by paywall, making it an cost hundreds of dollars. Reviewing now because the new hatch has made app is useless without being on same wifi as the machine (think travel, wifi issues, or other things). Other one is good with a simple Bluetooth. Pay more and get less from the money grubbers. Edited: The app should be able wot connect w/o wifi.

worked for a bit. now rarely works. it constantly disconnects from wifi. then once I get it connected again & actually works, it won't even change settings. I can't turn the volume up or down or the brightness. pretty annoying when it is stuck on a daytime feature while I'm trying to rock my young child to bed. also it's not my Internet because I have great connection and no other connection issues elsewhere. save your money and buy a cheaper one for sure.
This app is pretty much one of two things that have the ability to make me angry on a daily basis. So buggy for something *so* incredibly simple. An old school alarm clock has more several times more utility than this product + app. over it.
None of the sleep sounds stay on, the app constantly loses connection to the device and the stories cut in and out constantly. The device is already expensive and having to pay a monthly subscription on top of it not working half the time is so frustrating.
I think it's very clear they put more effort and documentation for iOS users instead of Android. The ability to do anything on this app is sub par at best and nothing matches their documentation for any procedure you might need to do. It's a garbage user experience at best.

It is difficult to conceive a product this bad made it to the market. The Hatch is by far my most hated possession. It turns on and off randomly, loses connection, and simply does not work smoothly. The app is cluttered and unintuitive. The problem is that its features are genuinely useful. But using this app while trying to calm a baby is painful. Instead of making the process easier, it somehow becomes its own issue that demands attention away from the fussy baby, which defeats it's purpose.
It randomly turns on light and sound throughout the night and wakes the baby up. The app interface sucks and doesn't let you disable it.
This app is broken. very disappointed.

Atrocious functionality for such an expensive device WITH a paid subscription. My device is usually unresponsive from the app.
WARNING! EXHAUSTED MOTHER! This is an absolutely stupid product. It is a light with no buttons so you need an app. The app wants you to subscribe to pay more money for stupid sounds and your wifi data. Do not buy!
