The registration process includes a number of countries but excludes Australia. There are no other registration options. uninstalled

update, then suddenly i can't order bycicle.
does not allow foreign phone number registrations despite the country code being listed. if you don't allow tourists to use your service, consider remove the country codes. wasted 30 min of my time.
rather than using these app i will uninstall it no any meaning no any cycle you get on time even though there is cycle they are placed to be reserved so if you want to ride do reserved for one day before
no choice for Philippines country code.
It does not accept phone numbers from my country in Western Europe, so I can't sign up for the service. On the Hello Cycling website, in the tutorials on how to sign up, my country is listed but not in the app. Terrible. Wouldn't it be better if they accepted numbers from all over the world or simply used email addresses as the primary account identifier?
Update 2026/12/02, 19:00 - after parking my bike and my wife's simply REFUSED TO UNLOCK. No support after 18h. I Reserved the nearest return points available and CARRIED the bikes there, but when I arrived the bike refused to park/end the trip. Just errors, on my phone or hers. The BILL IS STILL COUNTING. Paying for carrying bikes is the WORST!
you need an active phone number to sign up, most travel e-sims are data only and don't have a phone number linked to them. this is flawed, we should be able to sign up using an email address instead. you've made it incredibly difficult to hire a bike when things could be more simple. haven't even used the app or the bikes yet and I'm already severely disappointed
The app currently has a bug where you can't register if you have a non japanese phone number. It needs to send you a text to register an account but it just straight up doesn't work. I will update my review if this ever gets fixed.
Sadly, impossible to register. SMS to +1 country code is never transmitted. no other ways to sign up. 😥

ラックが圧倒的に足りていません。空いている返却ステーションがなく、延長料金を課金させられて非常に遠くのステーションに返すことになり、目的地まで1時間弱歩かされ、予定に大きく遅刻しました。高い勉強代を払って、急いでいる時は自転車を借りてはならないと教わりました。暇な人が目的もなく自転車を利用する分にはよいサービスだと思います。
Can't register because there are only few countries supported... No Finland country code.
Canada is clearly listed as a supported country code and yet when I enter my phone number to receive the code ... nothing hapoens.
At night, the app said there's no parking space (even though there was one), so I've to park at another spot which is 30 mins walking distance from my hotel in Kyoto east. There should have been contingency parking. In the morning, all bikes at my spot are unusable, only 1 dead bike, 1 bike with no battery, 1 bike always has blue light blinking (cannot be booked), and 1 smaller bike that doesn't fit my luggage. It should have been better managed over the night.
Disappointing that it supports so few international number codes and that there is no way to loging without a working mobile - not friendly for travellers
My japan esim does not support message. Cannot use the service, please address this problem. Why not provide registration via email?
They only support a limited number of country phone numbers, its really frustrating
App changed, no longer compatible on my phone. I used it successfully for about 2 or 3 years. One day it's suddenly no longer compatible, no explanation why. I used an oukitel WP7. very disappointed, and you lost a customer.
Unable to pick up to bike as they were inside other people houses. Finally found an available bike, it cannot be moved. Scam

I cannot setup an account. After entering my Japanese phone number I can't do anything else. Cannot scroll down to hit enter or send code or anything. The app is just blocked.
you need to leave a bike at a designated place and if it's full you need to find another one that's free. Good luck in popular places (stations in the morning, residential area in the evening). this one thing makes the app useless 50% of the time. you can reserve a return spot but then something simple like renting a bicycle for 15 minutes becomes too much of a hassle. also it's not so cheap, if you want the bicycle for longer than 30 minutes it's already more expensive than public transport

My experience was for the location near Mt Fuji at Lake Kawaguchi. 3 of us could never get the confirmation code to actually send. We never got a confirmation code, so could not use it.
