The app lacks a basic home button, once you go through few links, only option to come back to home is to kill the app and restart as back arrow is useless. What a shame Hertz!
Changed my drop off location to the default as I was ordering, which was where I picked it up. I had it originally set to 1500 miles away. The app gives me an error when I try to change it. Customer service says they cant do anything, and that I just need to drive 24 hours back to where I got it.

Warning: I would not recommend using this app or signing up with Hertz. I signed up through the app before booking a rental car at canberra airport, but for some reason I was charged in USD instead of the AUD, which made the total cost much higher once international transaction fees were added. On top of that, Hertz customer service was very disappointing. They were slow to respond and did not make much effort to properly assist with the issue. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience.
Payments in this app are broken! I clicked pay to reserve my rental, a transaction occured on my card, then an error about stripe appeared, but the car wasn't reserved. So I clicked it again thinking it might just realise I've paid and continue, but it CHARGED ME AGAIN! And the car still wasn't reserved! So I had to click "pay later" to reserve it. I then contacted hertz who were useless and unable to help, suggesting I email their customer service team. I still haven't got my money back.
Won't accept my username or member ID number. Useless.

Poor customer service over the phone, and corrective abilities. Call was sent to Philippines, transferred from 1 dept to another, then when something didnt make sense they just repeated the answer.

This app is terrible. Firstly the app itself is buggy and hard to use. Secondly, all the customer support signposting is a lie. Hopefully your attempt to book, use, and return the van goes perfectly. Because if anything at all goes slightly awry you have no hope in hell of getting any support. Thirdly, the onboarding process is like some sort of customer hostile gameshow where the absence of a good response is the only indication that the info you have provided is incomplete. Garbage.
you can't apply points or use any member features in this app. I always pay more than if I just went up to a desk. Terrible functionality

update: months later, trying again, no go Bait and switch Found rate on van both in app and online. App says "stripe auth failed". Web says "error processing payment". Called Capital One and confirmed everything and they said it is going through then immediately refunded by Hertz. Called Hertz, they can't find the option. My rate was $60/day. I'm told rate not available for the vehicle I'm booking and that it's $115/day. Tough luck. Crossing this scam/fraud off my list as Gold Plus member. Bye!
this app is trash. it doesn't take my corp6 code, filters don't work, prices don't match the actual website...trash.

Trying to process payment and it has taken 4 lots of pending payments out of my account. Support couldn't release the money and now I am without a lot of money for the near future. This has been a horrible experience

Driving licence info was missing, so the app wouldn't allow the booking, but it didn't tell me this, no error messages, just wouldn't book. very poor coding quality from the app developers.
Hertz charges extra to hold the reservation without a credit card.
way too much emphasis on up charging when trying to reserve a vehicle. Very annoying and out of hand.
I can not stand having to check in a week in advance, just to have you try to sell me on the fuel, and any other bs! If I wanted that stuff, I would have signed up for it when I booked the damn rental!
App is very frustrating to use and navigate. It won't save our reservations so I'm jumping back and forth from emails every time I try and use it.
expensive add on items. ridiculous difference between pay now or pay at rental time. long time hertz customer who is seriously thinking of going elsewhere next time.
