funny how there are so many one star reviews yet the average is still 4.7. hertz is a crooked corporation building wealth by scamming people and/or leaving them stranded. if you rent from hertz you are asking to be overcharged, lied to and shuffled into a dangerously undermaintained vehicle and then stuck with the repair charges. 0/10 never trust this company.
for some reason the DL license search feature was broken, the app said I wasn't a gold member even tho I am. then for some reason nobody would think to put in a feature to only show locations with cars in stock

this company is a joke for customer service. not only did I get the most inconvenient service and customer service requests, I got charged 3 times totaling 1319.77$ for a 86$ rental. one part because driving to Sacramento, the check engine like came on and I immediately had to swap cars when I got to Sacramento. well I got one but these people charged me again. 9 charges on card from them when there was no need to charge me again. and again and not reply or return my funds.
horrible app to try and do reservations...buggy as hell

I rented for 35 days and because a Holiday fell in the middle of the rental time I was not eligible for that promo. I explained it would then be very difficult to rent a vehicle for 28 plus days and qualify because we have a Holiday almost every month. I asked "what does a Holiday have to do with this, I am paying that day like all the rest". no answer ! BAIT AND SWITCH.
the app keeps crashing out on me every time I add a credit card. I also tried to book a reservation but after doing all the work, it just said there was some kind of an error.

The app failed to allow me to update my password more than a dozen times. After eventually allowing me to update the password, it then would not let me upload my driver's license details. There does not seem to be any functionality in the app when attempting to input any information.

so frustrating, it always didn't allow pay now and save option, and even when you call customer service they never help

Hertz app did not allow any auto fill for addresses or credit cards.

I am really disappointed with Hertz and their disappointing service. They take forever to approve any service on your car. You have to wait for hours for them to approve even an oil change. They don't care even if you are giving them so much. Not coming back again to this shady company and their shady business.
hertz because it hurts! Iuse them to drive for Uber. Got a notification that they would renew wednesday at 7pm. Instead they charged my account Wednesday at noon. Overdrew my account. Dealt with overdraw processing all weekend. Finally managed to get renewed and now have to RELIST the vehicle with Uber. Not allowed to work till thats done and the department that handles THAT doesnt feel like answering phone. So, now losing a full days work still expected to pay my overdraft AND find next renewal
"check-in now". so I go to check-in. you need to login. I am logged in. repeat ad naueseum. why do I have this app? so hertz can track me? ok, I'll uninstall it and book with somebody else next time then.
Hard to log into website
Headache-inducing glitchy app.
I am appalled . I will never ever do business again with Hertz Rental I was driving Uber making good money at first. DO NOT give them any access to nothing. They will take money before time, after time all the time. No Shade. 00 rating for this app. ....................................They working with the oops. Our country our government our life's our sense of being is being taken over by the oops y'all. I accidentally hit the star cause this app gets 00000 stars do not exist here.
as if it's not bad enough they junk up this app, now hertz ads are junking up other apps like delta. 0/10 must defund to prevent hertz slop expansion

While you can make a reservation through the app, best of luck making a simple update if it is needed. I have tried updating a reservation that is in 2.5 months and while the app says the update has been made, the information has not changed. A simple loyalty update is a basic function for an app like this and the fact it doesn't work warrants the 2 stars.
Recently (just now) downloaded to manage an upcoming trip. Using Google Pixel 10 Pro, everything is updated, tried deleting cache and app data, delete/reinstall. You can view a reservation, but you can't add a payment method - the app either reboots or crashes. Please address.
do I have a reservation? I log in, so I can see, but it's not there, the reservation can't be found. In addition to that, checking in on the app is obnoxious. I'd like an option to opt out of coverage, pre paid gas, toll passes, etc by default so that I don't have to answer all those questions twice for every check in and be treated like I'm making a mistake just for checking in.

some screens hide the text when they ask for input. glitchy
App glitches out and just stutters then does nothing when trying to view an upcoming rental. No ability to add to calendar.
The app itself is fine, but to rent exactly the same car in Zurich Mercedes GLE is over 1k more than what I can find it on another app. Trying to be loyal makes no financial sense. Also I'm a President's Circle member!
