I like that they are at least trying, which is far more than crunchyroll ever tries to do. but on the mobile app, there is no way to turn subtitles on or change audio. among the new problems, the majority of the old problems are still there but much prettier now, so that's a start.
good selection, app frequently doesn't work, horrid UI
Almost every single time I use the app, something ends up happening: 1- Closed captions not appearing while they're enable (both streaming & on downloads) 2- Error loading the episode (happens more often with bad connectivity, but even with downloads!) 3- Some audio glitches (when listening with bluetooth headphones, only happens with this app) 4- Pretty bad at saving the watch progress (even worse with downloads) 5- Have to download one-by-one to stay in order & not download all simultaneously

Subtitles don't work.
after 2 weeks, I think I'm gonna go back to crunchy roll. app is almost unusable. after 2 weeks with no issues. I can't stay logged in more then 5 min before I get the expired session msg. instantly logged out. hot garbage. I've done all the suggested troubleshooting nothing is working. I'll pass
show freeze , I tried to watch a show but it would stop, I couldn't exit or anything, I tried watching in the phone and same results.
app won't open anymore. it just stays on the HIDIVE logo for 5-10 minutes
app and website used to be better till they redid it and I kind of stop using the app I'll use it very few the app needs to be done or go back to how it used to be it is a pain to use now and I know with that it makes it so I don't want to use the app or website. I also make making my own icon for my account. also when watching something when you try to go back and watch it sometimes it's hard to find it again unless you know the name or have to be a whole work around for it just to try to watch

Worst app can't even get the subs to work. You go in settings and try to change them. And hit save doesn't save. I got tired after an hour of trying, so don't waste your time on this app.
App only works the US. So I paid a yearly subscription and just watched it while having a VPN on. Now they updated it so I can't use hidive while having a VPN on. So I can't use it on the app or website. And then they complain about piracy.

Paid for a subscription. Everything is still locked after an hour. It's almost as if they took my money and gave me nothing. I requested a refund through Google. I don't have time for whatever the issue is with this service.

This app being stupid again, why should I pay twice for a service/steaming app I already paying for??? wouldn't allow watch anime through the app, but allow watch through the website. Also did that login and logout a few times still didn't want to work. it's a pain in butt and neck, it's annoying and I just give up. (sigh)
got it for one show. halfway through watching the season of watching it subtitled it removed that option for me. I contacted their help and had it implied i had changed settings. just go pirate your anime. forget these hack companies trying to leech off of creative.
app doesn't work. xbox app doesn't work. It treat browser and console apps as different accounts even with the same email.
just cancelled my subscription. they just got rid of the dub category where it puts everything in alphabetical order, the movies that are dubbed are no longer separated. these ppl are morons, they just made there site worse
Constant stuttering, volume loss, and quality going down definitely six dollars worth for a streaming app. You absolutely get what you pay for but when it works it's not that bad.
PLEASE go back to crunchyroll or something. They have their own issues but at least their app works and I dont have constant issues with streaming.
Don't subscribe! been trying to login to my account; ones I did it still told me to purchase a plan when they already toke my money. dont bother honestly.
Putting your catalog on Prime Video without dubs for multiple seasons is GARBAGE. Greedy mediocre streaming platform. Just sail the high seas and do not bother with this app. Hopefully it's absorbed by something better or shuts down entirely. 🤡
Used to be a great anime hub but they totally changed the user interface they took away the dubbed section and now you have to click every anime to figure out if it's dubbed or not it's assanine for the love of God put it back up so we don't have to do this smh until you bring it back my review will stand
watched one show and already hate it, let alone a month. the ui is straight out of 2012. the browse page is abysmal, with no way to filter if a show has a dub at all. it also auto rotates the screen regardless of if you have that on or off which is the worst idea ever, who watches a show in vertical? i mean the selection is pretty good but the app feels like its trying to discourage you from using it. boo

it's not very good at all so are you the one star I don't like it at all and when I tried to watch anything at the only able to watch three episodes that's not fair at all then I have to pay for a month or a year I can understand like why they trying to do it by the same time y'all taking money out of your pocket ain't nobody really got money like that to spend

UI is done in a lazy manner, the tracking of episodes watched is faulty, and constantly have issues with captioning disappearing and leaving one to consider learning Japanese. If you want to draw more customers into your service, then might I suggest taking pride in your work and actually make something presentable?
Warning this App does not accept Google Pay. #1 Most poorly coded app on the internet. how do they even make money? not worth the effort attempting to subscribe. i like that they finally added the ability to choose your subscrition plan within the app, unfortunately the app crashes every time i select one, so nothing has changed.

The app doesn't have the anime I want to watch which is My Hero Academia and all the animes I saw on here were ones I've never even heard of
App is not very good episodes won't go to next episode, I tried another round of subscription and the app got better slightly but now they say something is going to come soon and most shows have been out for a while or the episode won't play. most things also don't have subtitles when other episodes do. I pity the anime makers who give exclusive rights to this company as most of their content is misrepresented or badly managed. I won't be subbing again.

I hate this app it's a complete ripoff they barely have anything in their anime catalog they only are like one or two animes each season subtitles don't work.
There aren't any subtitles available when watching on the mobile app. This issue has been persistent for over a week.
terrible setup and layout, terrible loading and rendering time, auto play next episode don't exist so gotta manually go to next episode, constantly freezes after a couple episodes so you gotta fully restart the app constantly, it's like a terrible nock off from Crunchyroll which is way better than hidive, get castly app and then anidub and vidhut for 4.99 a month, Hidive is just a terrible app in general and needs professionals to fix the entire app
On my chromecast the ui is unusable. the lag is nasty, which makes trying to find my shows very difficult.
