First time we have used this and arrived at the booked camping property, only to be told by a passing farmer that the property was sold 22 months ago. Drove 3 hours to get here. Does anyone at hipcamp check on these camping properties? Feels like a scam. Very disappointed and will never use hipcamp again. Now for the difficult process of getting a refund.
They are home to several scammer "hosts". they have absolutely no verification process to become a host. then have no accountability for when people get scammed out of the money on their app.
filter aren't even close. practically ha e to look at everything to figure it out yourself
I love hipcamp as a whole, but the lack of support for Android's "back" functionality is infuriating. Every time I try to swipe back, like I would for any other app, it closes the hipcamp app.
Too many sites that say they're suitable for caravans are actually unsuitable. Many on a slope too steep to chock. Others with poor access. We had too many failed sites using this app.
Non refundable 20% fee for bookings
apple is great now it wont open i have to download many times and still wont load. used to use all the time
Not having an option to delete your account from the web, forcing traffic to an app, is disgusting actually. I will be recommending my friends and family use a different service
nothing but problems with security issues. make you use verification that leads to problems. stay away
I received an email from Hipcamp that I'd changed my ph#, but I had not. Followed their instructions to go into my acct to fix my phone #, but their instructions do no match what appears on the screen.
I'm going to uninstall because I know my username and password and this app is not allowing me to sign in
app will not open, I have installed and uninstalled several times to try and get it to open
was writing a review then app froze and I lost all process
the app has really gone down hill and freezes often.
not a great app to navigate
Version 4.11.1 keeps crashing immediately upon launch and needs to be pulled until fixed. Reverting to the previous version which has no issues.
you put in dates or locations into the search criteria, and it brings up places that are unavailable, or nowhere near the location (despite other, closer options being shown on the map function). essentially you are searching for a needle in a haystack
slow and clunky
I want to book 4 nights at Bluesfest at Easter 2026 and selected the 4 nights required but when I got to the payments screen it only shows that I have booked for 3 nights? and I have to go back to the beginning- very unsatisfactory I have tried to contact the host to check if my booking went through correctly but received no reply I have stayed at the same site for more than 10 years but the host has not phoned or replied to my simple question
