I can't access my Hive hub from my holiday in Europe. it's been saying my hub is offline for 3 days which I don't believe as it was working on Friday. This is costing me money as I can't turn off my heating and hot water; so much for it saving me money! The system is very unreliable at the best of times. Yet again, I've gone on holiday outside the UK and I can't connect to my hub. This is absolutely ridiculous!British Gas can't solve this issue after over 12 months. My advice is avoid it!
Fails to connect to the Hive unit and you can't speak to a human to solve it!

Please fix it. The data on Insights for solar power has been wrong for ages now. When I phone up I was told that you're aware and a fix will be released with the next update. No date could be given - will it be this year?

useless in a family home
I've had constant problems with my Hive since it was installed and all the app does is have to constantly tell me its offline
app is not best, fails to connect to devicesand has a few bugs. The charging point that BG installed is always offline. terrible service when i raised a support case with them. I would advise you to look somewhere else.
very poor connection on my phone!! unable to switch my heating on while in or out of the house with my hub, it's saying off line can't connect, this is very frustrating, I've uninstalled my app i downloaded it again with the same issues!!!

the app barely works for the screen reader, and the inclusion of paid features when you don't have a paid plan is somewhat annoying. introducing a paid plan when you got this before paid plans were a thing is sort of disgusting
dissconects 24/7
unable to schedule or boost hot water on from app or thermostat despite full reinstall and endless phone calls, factory resets, new receiver, 2 new plugs etc. About to cancel subs and rip it out.
my app stopped working months ago , before that, connection was terrible . I would not recommend getting hive.
A recent update has broken connectivity, have to close and open the app multiple times for it to actually connect. Was working fine before recent updates
seems to lose connection and need a reboot too often.
Requires immediate attention. Keeps disconnecting. The problem is not my phone as there were no connectivity issues until a couple of Hive app updates ago. The issue appears to be everything apart from the Hive app.... 14/06 still hasn't been sorted out. 15/06 I'm going to contact Centrica/BG directly to make sure they're aware of what's going on with this app and that the issues aren't being addressed.
looses connection all time
terrible app and associated equipment, goes offline on a regular basis so you lose the ability to control your heating away from home. Extremely bad in the winter so you arrive yo a freezing cold house and no hot water. Don't buy!!!

I've knocked the review down to just the one star as it's just unreliable!***I have literally just uninstalled and reinstalled this app and app states offline! I have used the Hive assistant and checked everything as instructed and all devices are connected but app shows offline! Hive assistant is useless as apparently unable to process my messages now!
we are u able to use our app to control as it keeps telling us we are not connected to the wifi which we are. when we tried to contact hive we were told the only way we would get help was by paying for Hive plus which we have done but still can't contact Hive not impressed.
Constantly loses connection Support is polite but fairly useless. I've had to reconnect the app about 7 times in a year. I wish Nest still covered the UK.
battery keeps running out, they only last 2-3 weeks
whats happened to the 5x1 widget, it says add to home screen then when you try, it says device not found, why change things that are working?
Keeps disconnecting from the thermostat and all devices. Force stop+restart app reliably solves the problem each time but it just keeps happening. Separately, stops connecting to rondom TRVs, only solved by remove+setup that TRV. Then it messes the dashboard order, more annoyance. In each occasion, none of the unhelpful instructions apply.

app no longer appears to stay in sync with actual state of play. I have to stop the app and reopen it in order for it to refresh which plugs etc are on I have fixed this by moving to homeassitant, goodbye hive!
cant login, account not recognised. changes password, still cant login. try to open another account, you already have an account. try live chat, sorry your email is not recognised, then kicked from chat. sort it out, all im trying to do is accept an invite!
Regular issues - getting worse There seem to be issues with the app. I went through a period of setting a 30 minute boost, only to find out if never switched off. Because I'm not paying extra for some other service, they said they basically can't help me. Now, I've recently found that I randomly get logged out. I enter my username and password, it doesn't work. I use forgot password, the email never comes, even though I know I've used the correct email. I use forgot username. Doesn't work.

I am very disappointed with the Hive. I have had to totally reset and re enter the schedules so many times since it was installed. Power being switched off or interruption to wifi, even if brief requires the correct and long sequence of actions to reset. the app help interface doesn't work and has blank pages. The help line is only valid under the warranty and then has to have a subscription. I wished I had stuck with a non smart option, as this is really not very well designed.

purchased Nano3 and still cannot connect to the app. Been trying, with the help of the Hive Team, for a week without success.

Error message constantly saying the hub is not connected to the internet, the hub is hard wired to the router as it has been for two years and every other device in the device is connected to the net without an issue.
In theory it's a good idea but in practice it's terrible. The hub keeps losing connection with the receiver. Receiver with the thermostat, etc. I don't have a large house, even moved the hub and purchased a wifi booster, but still having issues. We have turned off the hub because I am fed up with trying to reconnect the hardware to my wifi and boiler and deleted the app. We will NOT be renewing our subscription.
Keep loosing connection to my boiler. Keep having to phone to get it fixed. When im away from home I can't switch off or on. Utterly useless. My wifi is working perfectly fine. David, I have to be home to rectify this issue!! AGAIN!! Well at least my neighborhood is warm as my windows are open.
