What's with appliance apps wanting to collect our data to sell off. Nope.
Rarely you can see such a bad piece of software. It's looks like a leftover nobody cares about.

Worse with new version. New version is with out counting washing caps. Bad choice. It was verry nice before to know when you have to buy caps again. Old version of app no longer works. I kept old version that count caps, but now won't work. Verry disappointed with this app. I will use my device without internet and without app.

app does not work with alexa. power on off is working only. coffee making says "server is unresponsive". expensive coffee maker is now useless. NOT RECOMMENDED! you are not sorry! go fix it!
No connection to the home appliance no matter what.
I use this app with a Bosch idos series 8 washing machine. Totally hopeless app. The appliance Keeps disconnecting every few days and I have to reset it and re join the appliance to get it to work. I'm an IT architect so I know a thing or two about IT stuff. Same wifi, same network. It will work fine for a few days and then just stay in a disconnected state on the app, but the washer is connected to wifi. Only fix is to scan the qr and redo the whole wifi setup.

Crashes after account verification when connecting to my new oven. This happens on hardened Android (GrapheneOS) because the app triggers a native memory error (detected write-after-free). Standard Android silently ignores these violations, but strict environments terminate the process to prevent security/stability risks. The developers need to test their native code with memory sanitizers. Hopefully, it gets patched soon.

After update can't connect dishes
Requiring a cloud app and account to control my private devices is absurd. This is a user data harvesting tool, nothing more.
Yet another (end May 2026) update and yet another deteriorating product. New functionality - that doesn't work - Programme Control worked, but "Easy Start" doesn't work at all. Smart Start time used to work. Now defaults to 23:30, not 2am that I actually want and worked up until now. Useless. IT 101! TEST THE APP!! Great up until this update. Every update loses the devices, but this one was especially special. Having deinstalled the app, can only get 50% of the appliances back on!

Worst dishwasher ever. Has some delayed start option called "Smart start" which noone needs, but it cannot be turned off.

absolutely useless, everything has to be confirmed on the appliance. not even turning off remotely is allowed without going to the appliance. absolutely and totally useless
has been working quite fine, but suddenly it wants a sign-in, very annoying. why is this happening. it seems that an account where a mail address is needed, this is rubbish for a domestic appliance. Time to buy a different brand in future...

Very stupid app
SERIES 8 top of the line model of washer and dryer. Smart start now works, but indication of smart dispenser in app deactivates a few seconds after selecting it in a program, but on the machine its actually active=feedback issue in app. If home you can check it, but then whats the use of the app if you cant trust it. Also, why cant you add an option to use smart start if chosing delayed start directly on machine. simple tick box in app. Sent info 2026 to support, but no reply on a long mail even
logged out frequently
Resets every few weeks and I have to sign-in and add the appliance again. These apps are supposed to make my life easier - I really don't think so!! Can't be bothered any more - app now deleted.
the app has reset for the second time, and I had to sign up again, when all I wanted to do was set a custom profile on my dishwasher like I had done dozens of times before. if this happens again I will scrap the dishwasher and stop using Bosch appliances.
every time there is an update to the home connect app it losses connection to the Dishwasher only way of resolving is to once again delete the app data cache then all is fine until the next update ditto ditto ditto
its been 0 days AGAIN since i have to add my device again to the app because it suddenly won't connect. but resetting the appliance and adding it again always works. I wish they'd use a different developer...

Ich hab für 900€ einen Herd gekauft und kann nicht die Favouriten vergeben? Die App ist unnütz und in der Anleitung steht nur "Die Home Connect App öffnen und Anweisungen folgen."
Frustrating, connection always fails I came to give this a one star review, and then realized I already had.... it seems that whenever they update their app it breaks any automation with Alexa. There may be another cause, but either way the connection it breaks frequently. Frustrating getting up in the morning expecting to pull out clean smoothie maker and needing to clean off day old residue, first world problems... but frustrating nonetheless.
Requires an account creation with a 3rd party website to manage my dishwasher.
I updated the app and now I can't login because of scripts and trackers in the login page. I highly recommend avoiding this bad app
Rubbish. Doesn't work. Won't connect to my Bosch dishwasher. It was connected and working perfectly then stopped and won't reconnect. Deleted the app and reinstalled stalled and logged as before. Just times out after searching for 60 seconds while I'm supposed to press the connection button (?), neither the app nor my Bosch instructions give a clue as to which button this may be, and then states there is no Bluetooth signal. I was under the impression it was operating via Wi-Fi.
Something changed, logged me out, now gives errors about network when trying to log in again. useless. incompetent developers of the app.
app doesn't connect devices and says wrong password even though it is exactly copy paste from the Wi-Fi settings.
Unless you use Chrome as your default browser you go into a login loop (I use comet). After switching back to Chrome it logged in. Devs need to sort it out to be more universal.

I own a Cookit device and have generally enjoyed using it. However, I’ve noticed that I’m not receiving the new recipes in the application, which is quite disappointing given that recipe variety was a key reason for my purchase. I also tried contacting customer support but haven’t received a response so far. I understand that delays can happen, but I would appreciate better communication. Considering the investment in the device, I was expecting access to the full range of advertised recipes.
Excellent app. Stable and functional, with clear and intuitive presentation and layout. Update: Worked fine since I installed the app, that is, until now. Out of the blue it's forgotten my appliance, asking me to sign in. If I try using my phone number, it'll ask for my email. When I use my email, it says an account already exists. But when I try to reset my password for the email, nothing is sent to my inbox. Great stuff.
Doesn't provide particularly much value. The notifications are sometimes useful, but unfortunately, the app is more interested in advertising their products than providing useful instructions. For example, the app will notify you that the oven has to be "eco-cleaned", but it's up to you to try finding the instructions for it.
The least intuitive app I've ever encountered. The machine is brilliant as I would expect from a manufacturer like Bosch, but .. oh my goodness. I have yet to easily find the detergent scanner. The instructions to find that aspect of the machine's 'intelligence' are truly awful. Even AI can't help. I bought the machine partly for the i-DOS system but even when I once found the detergent scanner, Fairy Non-Bio was not recognised. Bosch says I was only the 2nd person to scan that product. Really!!

Shopping List ist völlig frei von Sinn und Zweck... warum bietet ihr das an, wenn die Benutzung unlogisch ist. 1. Entweder gibt es im Storage den Artikel X oder in der Liste. Wenn man Artikel X einkaufen möchte, dann löscht sich also der Artikel aus Storage, obwohl Artikel X ja noch im Storage vorhanden ist... Also am besten ihr lässt diese Funktion "Shopping List" fallen - sie taugt nichts und was halblebiges anzubieten erweckt den Anschein, dass ihr auf die Weiterentwicklung keine Lust habt.
