poor instruction for people who have disabilities with their memory intake
Forced off the Kinetic account onto this one. This app does not allow us to get notified when a client pays. This was a really useful feature for me on the Kinetic app. Very disappointed that this is not available.

absolutely awful
Just doesn't work
App constantly crashes to home screen. Using much more secure GrapheneOS but this app appears to be forcing less secure Play Integrity API, rather than hardware attestation API. If this is not the problem then please provide fix.
Transferred to this app from Kinetic. Took a few days to come live but worked once done. Until today. Now I get the message 'Your transfer from Kinetic is in progress' and I can't access my accounts. Web version won't let me in because it says (incorrectly) my credentials are wrong. I tried logging back into Kinetic, but that tells me to use Business Banking. Absolute joke. I'm stuck between Kinetic and Business banking, can't access my accounts at all, and customer services don't work weekends.
Does not connect
The HSBC online mobile banking app is Rubbish and useless. I have to reinstall it everyday/everytime before every use as it get hang and irresponsive all the time. I am not able to upload the error screenshot of the app as the review doesn’t have the option to upload the screenshot/file. Need to wait for the new activation code and have to reconfigure/relogin into it everytime. It only work once after every reinstall.
Needs force stop after each use. Does not exit on the back tap. Cannot send from account overview. Needs going back to home, then select the account, then select the target account all while keeping the remaining balance in your head. There is a fingerprint option. It does not send notifications even when enabled both on the system and app level. You will never know you got money without doing the tambourine dance of logging in and force quitting the sad sod.

absolutely appalling. blocking account without any notification. Despicable behaviour.
difficult to use and understand for customers. it's frustrating to see that customers are struggling on their business fund.
after half an to download failed gave up impossible
3rd time lucky. Cannot sign into the app until the 3rd time opening it. 1st time it says "user not entitled", 2nd time it says account cannot be accessed. This happens every single time, for years now.

This is a very poor app from an equally disappointing bank. While it covers basic functions like checking your balance, it is completely inadequate when something goes wrong. I experienced two fraudulent transactions on my account, and HSBC was extremely unhelpful in resolving the issue. The chatbot is so limited that it is effectively useless, and live agents take hours to respond-only to eventually close complaints without any proper explanation. A frustrating and unreliable experience.

A Nightmare to use
When is this app going to have the basic function of searching for transactions. Very limited functionality, my Nationwide current account app lets me search payments by individual or companies so I can see how much I've paid over selected timescales up to 18 months. This app is very basic by comparison especially for business banking.
PROBLEM WIT WITHDRAW This app is having bug. Every time I'm trying withdraw money app is kicking me out of the app.Then showing info that this app have bug and telling me to update when developer provide update. I have this issue for months now.I have to call customer service to request payments for me.APP UPDATED NEDED
terrible onboarding experience
Way too complicated to set up.
Absolute pain to get set up, took about 3 weeks. The screens on the App are frustrating and not responsive, hidden information cannot be checked and the help desk via mobile was unintelligible.
Retrograde step from a simple physical security device to a flaky App that needs deleting and re-installing even on a brand new device. What took a matter of seconds previously now designed to occupy and irritate for hours. I regret the new 'progress' will force me close and move to a different institution after more than 30 years
no push notifications and transactions only show up after 3 days. avoid hsbc business where possible.

I can rarely open the app. It doesn't work often. It freezes regularly. Very inconvenient.
Same old useless website vs other banks
Why can't this just be a website which I could use on a laptop with a keyboard and mouse??
If you can get into your account the app is ok but the complexity of set up and having to use desk top to change password and the delays between cascade of information to mobile is a nightmare. This is made worse by the poor error messaging in all services to the point you can't tell what is wrong.
glitch as hell
Often refuses to start, have to reboot.
It was supposed to be easy to switch from HSBC Kinetic, an account I'd only had a month but HSBC decided to do away with. Didn't remember my saved details, made me answer entirely different security questions, sent me an activation code full of 0s and Os which naturally I got wrong several times. Not the easy switch promised so let's hope the actual App is better.
It leaves the last screen open when I'm done and then I have to crash it next time I login. Good job Revolut is now a Bank.
Great app, easy to use and understand, however, when I received the business loan I had to pay monthly straight away, didn't get any free months, so the loan requirement was actually less because I had to keep a huge chunk of the loan to cover the monthly payments, even got a letter saying my free months have expired even though I never got any free months.... disappointing!
hard to do on a phone, not user friendly
Not having a search function on transactions is very frustrating.
Functional but clunky and poorly designed app. E.G. when timed out one has to exit, goto a menu to log out, then press another button to goto fingerprint login. Why can't it simply goto the login screen? I only have one account but have to goto a selection screen to choose it to perform actions like transfers. why not default to the account if only one?
This app just feels dated compared to others like Monzo. There isn't even a category for dividends when making payments which is absolute basic set up for business banking.
