I dont know why i tried again several years after the first time, but here i am again, i have 22 dollars on there, it says you have to have 20 at least, i have tried, it keeps telling me to verify my phone number, which i have tried over and over again, it will not verify, instead gives me an error. I will not be trying your ap a third time, waste of time, enjoy the 22 dollars
updating review after 5 years... this app no longer opens and goes right to the desktop site. it was signing me in for a few days but I could not add my missing offers. now, I login and consistently says error. I'm missing out on a lot of savings. nevermind the fact that my balance I've already earned is stuck there and I can't access it. and yes, I even uninstalled and reinstalled and deleted and re-download app and restarted my phone...
new update causing log in problem again! everything i attempt to login it just keeps loading the login screen, never actually logins
ugh. I used to love this app, but I referred someone and I never got my $10 referral credit. this app doesn't provide as many offers as it used to either.

Also, the $20 minimum threshold is ridiculous! I have had Ibotta for a few months and have only gotten to $6.50. In less time I have cashed out $10 for an app that pays cash for using your food stamps... yes FOOD STAMPS!!! no searching before shopping... just scan any receipt with ebt use. IDK if it's worth the space in my phone.
It's a lot of work to use this app. It's exhausting. The worst part about the app is when an offer says you can get multiple of the same item and it only credits you once. 07/2026 edit: fav thing on ibotta, when you add an offer, drive 30 mins to the store, buy the stuff, and come home, then by the time you're scanning your receipt the offer is removed before you get credit.
It hasn't loaded for months, maybe even over a year. I've tried every "fix" I could find. they keep deducting money from my account because I can't use it so I've finally deleted it and just use Fetch now.

I don't feel we should be punished for not using an app, especially when the app offers very few brands, as I have said. I do not use the app because there's very few things on here to get money back, unless you change your shopping habits to fit a subpar app. Good concept tho.
for some weird reason, Ibotta has logged me out and every time I attempt to log back in, I get an error message. I have been emailing them back and forth and they continue to tell me to do the same steps but It Isn't Working! I am about ready to say "forgot it!" to what balance I do have and delete this app!
I think it's a big lie Ive put my verification code in 4 people's phones downloaded the apps and another 2 did there own thets $60.00 but that has still not came they r sending emails to a couple saying pic of receipt is needed and I did that myself for them. and the $20.00 I've got I don't ty really have it says it's on that Ibotta app. but will not go to my PayPal account !! And u can't get through to anyone it shouldn't be in here.
Only used it it a few times and everything that I had earned was taken away for admin fees. Not worth the effort for me. Hopefully others find it useful.
I only got 0.5 cents for a receipt. On fetch i got a 5$ gift card instead and was able to use receipts that were yrs old plus less confusing and easy to use Ibotta is dissapointing.
after only adding a few coupons, it gives an error so I have to wait a few minutes after I get out of the app, go back in and clip coupons. this keeps happening, pretty annoying.
I give this app a 1 star. half the time I try to claim an offer it takes it away for no reason. then I tried cashing out and it says something dont seem right and has suspended my account and says to contact support I contact support and they said it will take 2 to 3 days to get back to me. now I can't claim any offers or try to cash out. it says there is an error and to try back in a little while. I will change my rating if and when I get the cash out I should get. this app is a waste.
scam Never actually permits you to withdraw your money. it constantly pretends you're offline even though you can clearly see your online and all your other apps work just fine. the "help" and chat options for customer service then in turn will never actually answer your questions regarding this, instead they answer strawman questions that were never asked as a means of deflection and avoidance, essentially gaslighting the user. don't waste your time with this garbage.

I've used this app for 7 years. This app used to be good when you could still contact an actual person when there was a problem. Now that AI is in charge, issues do not get handled, so when the app is malfunctioning beyond all help you're missing cash back, kiss it goodbye because AI is too геtaгded to fix any of it. NO ONE WANTS AI INTEGRATION, AND NO ONE WANTS IT TO REPLACE THE JOBS OF REAL PEOPLE BECAUSE IT SUCKS.
Complete trash. I earned 40 dls by sharing the app. Made a few bucks doing some coupons. I try to cash out and they deactivate my account saying i engaged in suspicious activity like seriously??
horrible, I spent literally almost 2 whole days to upload my walmart receipts. It always crashes. sorry for the interruption. drives me crazy. I re-download the app. restarted my phone. just ridiculous.
this app is a scam they approve your cash back and then take it back while sending an email stating they did a reversal for security reasons . customer support didnt respond they took $30 from me and $35 from my wife's account. any receipt that gets me over $10 cashback gets flagged . edit . after contacting support they deactivated my account witch then made me lose more money . do not use this app. they are a bunch of thieves
Debited a 4 dollar fee for not using account without giving any warning, cashback are slow to collect! App Sucks!
And once again, they're not paying the BOGO what they promised. I bought 2 of the 2.7oz mens Dove deodorant. I have reached out several times and still NOTHING .I wouldn't have spent the extra 💰 if you hadn't promised to keep your end of the bargain. Customer service isn't what it used to be. 😉
started out a good deal. ended up being very selective , annoying, told them to keep the money since getting to 20 00 to redeem was a pain before they deduct it. I won't buy something I don't need to get . 50 .
Why are your ads in spanish? If the target audience is in the United States, the language here is ENGLISH. Not Spanish. I don't speak Spanish so I skip your ads and mute them when I see them
This was my first time using Ibotta. I first accidentally used facebook to sign in. Then after, I deleted the app to sign in to my Gmail account. My first receipt was submitted only once, right when we left the store. It was the next day when I woke up I received a notification from ibotta saying my account was deactivated. I got in touch with their customer support, and the humans reviewing my account didn't talk to me personally, but they did say they are permanently deactivating my account.
Absolute junk offers. *Customer support is a joke!* They don't even bother reading nor addressing the issue you contact them for. I've repeateded myself FIVE TIMES, and they still refuse to acknowledge my issue. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. IT'S NOT WORTH YOUR TIME ANYMORE.
It probably would be great if it would allow me to log in.
I used to love this app. Now I feel like there are less deals and they are not as good. I had a hard time finding a deal today to meet my monthly quota so I don't get charged. I'm on a special diet so my choices are limited to begin with. It's just now as good as it used to be and I'm considering uninstalling and closing my account.
never have items coupons i use,, so not able save an use coupon offers except receipt one, you should use receipt i send to see what i buy alot repeat items
I am having issues submitting only my Walmart recipts, I also think the advertisement of this app should be changed some only because I had to take something back to a retailer and I said I don't have the receipt, but I've got a copy of it on my ibotta app. I was told that would not work for them. also I went to BJ'S yesterday and spent over 1,100 and didnt have a single thing that was advertised in the app for cash back. I like the app, it just takes awhile to get some money from it.
hardly ever has products I use. the any item category rarely has any good products either. disappointed
I don't know why I keep doing it but I have tried this program several times. it can work but going through to clip the coupons gets time consuming and discouraging. there's always some small print that makes the product you probably wouldn't have bought in the first place not qualify. they never have anything normal on here.
New update is horrible. The app wasn't great but at least scanning receipts was easy. Now you have to search for the store & apparently McDonalds can't be found so I can't scan this morning's receipt. If you're scanning receipts for items that are limit "x" per purchase, & make 2 purchases, it's flagged as the same receipt even though it has a different time stamp. There's no way to click something to ask for it to be reviewed as a different receipt (like Pogo does).
keeps logging me out, and it is so hard to get logged back in. it keeps making me go in circles to the point im about to just give up on ibotta
