I am being forced to not use any ING App any more. This app is being retired and the new one is incompatible with my phone... Might as well find another bank.
I'm not sure how this new app qualifies as an "update". it's actually the opposite.

When I click on a transaction, the old app used to display how much money I had before making the purchase. This new app is straight garbage if it can't even provide the same basic functions as the previous app. What's the point of making users switch to an inferior app? Make the old one available for users or update this one to a level that is competent otherwise it's bye bye
why do I have to reload this clunky app to set up my online banking? I have the new app. why do I have to reinstall this one?
Tried it but refuse to use it as it doesn't show my account balance without having to log in like the old app does! FIX IT!!! Once you have fixed this major omission, then we'll talk. If you don't fix it, I'll consider taking my business elsewhere - this is how strongly I feel about this! If you do nothing else, just fix this!
Update. This app is terrible. As well as the 2 issues below, there are no running balances against each transaction. I can't believe that's actually legal. I'm heading back to the old app. 2 x Fixes needed. 1. The option to display account balances without using the PIN should be restored. 2. The old notification system of withdrawals and deposits via text was fine. The new notification system, via the app lacks info about the payee. This means I have to log in to see where the money went.

Don't bother. After a few years, you may be 'de-banked' without any explanation what so ever. Not recommend.

How did you go from a STELLAR app with such high functionality to this drivel? If it was possible to deduct points for user experience, intuitive use, troubleshooting, this app would ve in the negative star category.

Why launch an "update" when it's a downgrade??? I can't even get into the app most of the time: "oops, something went wrong. try again later". When you need the app, YOU NEED THE APP. Also, the account names disappear when transferring bw accounts so you're left guessing based on each account's balance. And no running balance.... the list goes on. This app is dreadful. Don't uninstall the old app - keep using it until a better, new true upgrade is launched.
The new app doesn't work now. It let me set it up when I was first promoted to install it from the old app, and it worked for a brief time. Now every time I try to log in over the past few weeks it just keeps saying "sorry, something went wrong, please get again later. The old app works so I am using that, but I keep seeing pop ups saying the old app will no longer be usable soon. I am not able to use the new app during this ongoing issue, so I am hoping the old app stays available.
New app doesn't keep the names of each account listed. have to re enter the account names, which still don't show up when moving money between accounts. The previous app was much easier to use.....
I don't know how you manage to go so far backwards with an app update. this "new app" is completely lacking features and QoL that the old one has had for years. It feels bare bones and half baked. I could list the troubles and frustrations I've had trying to navigate and use this new app, but I'd probably overrun my character limit. It sucks because we really have no choice but to use this new one, I sure hope they are listening to feedback and fixing things.
The old app is brilliant. the new app simply does not load, freezes and I cant get it to work at all even after several tries. can I please continue to use the old app?

Don't install the new app if you can avoid it. - There is no running balance when you scroll through transactions. - ING has removed your customised account names when you transfer funds from one account to the next. - There is an a noticeable different in an absence of information when you select a transaction you made at a store. Bring back the previous app and help keep your customers informed.
Your website states that devices running Android Oreo or later are supported. My phone is running Android 9, so it appears to meet your minimum requirement.This issue needs to be resolved urgently. you sent me email saying i will unable to use the app after the end of March if I cannot update it.. If this cannot be resolved, I will need to consider moving my banking to another provider.
no acct names are shown when transferring money within your accts, not handy if you have multiple accts and don't instantly know what is in each. The previous version was far better.
Shockingly bad. No menu item available to end a term deposit. Is this even legal? I will be closing my account with this bank.
Like most people, the names I have given to my accounts on the home screen in the new app do not show on the payments screen when I want to move money between accounts. The names default back to "Everday Account" or "Savings Maximiser Account." As I have several savings maximiser accounts, I can no tell which account is which when I want to split up my income every month. Despite reassurances , have now had an email to say that the legacy app will now stop working from March 31st.!! Disgusting!!
qpp does not bring over nicknames of accounts. also no response despite multiple feedback on this

love banking with ING. Not so much since they have updated there app. I use one of my accounts purely to pay invoice but I now find it extremely hard to follow up invoices as I can't find the invoice number on the transaction on my statements or recent transaction history. Makes it very hard when I have to balance the account at the end of the month. please bring back this feature or I will have no choice to move my bank account over
New app was fine until I did my first transfer between my accounts. In the original app your account nicknames were the options to choose from, but now every account defaults to account type as the name so it makes it a much more painful and tedious process to move money between accounts. If you can have it available in the old app then it has to be possible in the new version. Please fix!!
congrats on replacing old, functional app w shiny new one, which i can't use coz my device is too old, & I'm too poor to buy new phone. thanks, enshittifiers.
This is just a worse app. You can't have more than one account and it's just form over function
I wish I could keep the old app. this one doesn't even show if a payment is pending or processed. so much functionality is lost it's ridiculous.
Very primative app. Currently unable to login either on the app or on web. It wants me to waste my time calling their call centre as ING does not have a proper online password reset function. Not going to use any bank that doesn't have basic functionality. Fortunately I took all funds out before all this, so dumping this garbage.
must have been an update recently because the app now closes whenever I try to view an account. rebooted phone and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still the same issue. Not good enough. so, almost 6 months later, still the same issue and ING didn't even bother to respond to either my review or the emails I sent. Repeated phone calls of over 3 hrs duration have failed to get a satisfactory response. if you wish to do online banking look elsewhere. try Macquarie
looks outdated and feels nostalgic like the 2010s

After one of their wonder kids updated the app, sms alerts for incoming deposits don't work any longer & ING won't fix it.
I wanted send money to my Kraken crypto account and ING send me a message they can't send it to my crypto account!
