Insight Timer used to be a very enjoyable app where you could listen to relaxing music for dozing off, or listen to stories told bt different "teachers" as a form of escapism. But I just tried to get on it after not using it for a few weeks and it wanted to run me through a whole bunch of questions which led to something about a free trial. Evidently it is now a pay site. Too bad. I just uninstalled it and will be looking elsewhere.
Honestly I love the app but I had to reinstall it on my phone and there is no option at The Opening screen to log into my account it just doesn't exist and I'm not answering a bunch of questions all the way through to the end cuz I've done that before and then it just creates an erroneous account for you make it more clear the opening when you you should be able to see the very first thing login or create an account I don't want a bunch of questions asked i can't get into my app this is supposed
useless app । can't open
So many moons ago I wrote a one-star review because it wasn't working. I decided to try and use the app again and now it just freezes every time I try to start. freezes at different pages but it just goes to a black screen and doesn't work. when you're charging what you're charging, you better have a working app
Not opening
i like the guided meditations, but could you please stop making me do those questionnaires, especially the ones that want me to commit to long streaks? no I actually won't commit to a 20 day streak, nor do I even want to. why MUST I press " yes I am commited". can you at least provide a skip button? I want to use the app at my own pace, stop pressuring & coercing me to say things I DONT want to say. I cancelled my subscription, bullies
This app constantly spams you with messages to upgrade your account. The minute my meditation sessions is over, I'm getting spammed with messages asking me to download the widget, sign up for the paid version, enable notifications, add more features.
Been using this app for over 5 years. used to be my favorite but unfortunately, I can no longer recommend. Users can no longer simply meditate. the app I now constantly tryin to upsell you, advertise, distract, or extract information. Hard to get centered and feel "safe" when you are being bombarded and treated like a product.
the app does not open anymore. I'm subscribed to premium and now it's not starting anymore. after the logo it freezes on a grey screen.
i really liked this app until it started ro nag. now I feel it's trying to pressure me and i may uninstall it. I actually don't want to open it again because I don't want to start the nagging process all over!
No meditation plays fully of late. Keeps pausing Something needs to be done about that ... .....
Please remove the "I'm committed" option that I'm forced to tap after each meditation. It feels invasive and currently I'm closing the app reach time, because there's no other way to close that screen, no X and the back button doesn't work either. Forced meditation goes against its very purpose.

was presented as free, would not even let me do a free trial without first capturing my credit card information; no thanks!
Absolutely terrible app with a predatory pricing system. We accidentally installed the trial and it quickly charged us $90 for the entire year of subscription with very little in terms of warning. We then even submitted a request for refund noting that this was accidental, but they responded that they will not honour this. refund. Is the entire revenue stream for this app built off a predatory business model such as this? Ridiculous. What a joke that this is meant to be a wellness app.
I don't want to take a survey every time I open the app. Sometimes I just need to find a quick 5 min meditation between meetings but upon opening the app, I get inundated with questions and goals that I frankly don't have time for in those moments. I've turned off every setting I possibly can, and I still have to tap through at least half a dozen screens and pop ups half the time I open it up. Those are fine if I were always sitting down to start a longer, focused session, but let me choose when

I only agreed to the trial because it promised a reminder email after 5days so I would remember to cancel if I didn't like it. No reminder was received and now I have been charged
why has the format changed I can't find any of the tracks I have downloaded or saved as favourite not user friendly
Just changing my review to reflect the ridiculous amount of things I had to click just to get into the app. I don't know if that was a survey or whatever but I was just clicking whatever I needed to do to get to the next page. I do not find that relaxing or peaceful which I thought was the idea of this app. it used be all about helping us. now it seems commercialised.

I used to love thus app but it does not transfer memberships when a ́person switches phones. I ́paid for my Plus membership and I cannot use all of my saved tracks because switched phones. I want a number to call for help. gitanjali
Rating two stars until you are able to stop ALL mandatory pop up screens before and after a session. The last thing the brain needs after meditating is to be forced to spend 30 seconds clicking through useless screens on our phone. Insight Timer, I know you know better because you used to be better.
Poor audio quality with background music making it difficult to hear speech. Haven't benefitted from this app at all.
at first it was great now the app imposes so much before I can get to the simple timer and after I finish the meditation (without an ability to skip) that im looking for a new app.
I want to give this app 5 stars because of all the incredible content on the Premium version. But, the developers now force customers into constant monitoring / goal setting / evaluating / attainment / reviewing / pressure. It is maddening, & is the opposite of what an app like this should be about. I paid for this app as an escape from a culture that forces all of these things on us. At the very least the developers could provide customers with the choice to opt out of all this corporate BS.
