I can't get help from the AI help engine in app. if the same video that shows in app was exported I would give 5 stars.

Very Frustrating. I never leave a review for any app... but this one has frustrated me to no end. it crashes non stop and is very glitchy. Considering how much the camera costs the app should be sufficient to run it. I've used cheap Chinese junk that has much better app for editing. I definitely would have gone another route for an expensive camera had i known the app sucked so bad.
The app worked at first, but now for some reason won't connect to my phone. It takes me a long time just to try and get it to recognize the device and connect to it. Not sure what the problem is, but it's turning me off from the 360. Super cool idea, but the software for user execution and editing is severely lacking if you can't even connect. Then if you using it it sometimes randomly disconnects. The Ai editer is cool, but takes a long time. I'm using a Samsung S24 Ultra.
This app is awful. Multiple pop ups trying to sell you on "premium" features. Playback via app is painful, buffers forever despite camera being capable. You're forced to save videos to your phone, which is an obvious problem when files are 10GB+. Feels like a play to sell you on cloud storage. Account setup was miserable and would not send verification email to "activate" the camera, making the camera useless until then. This app needs 1.3GB on my phone for what? Deleting this useless app.
app get closed when editing
apps cannot save or view file that saved on sd card. im using samsung tab s11, upgrading 1tb sd card just to save insv video to watch it later but the apps is useless & not user friendly
update...RECOMMEND GETTING THIRD PARTY APP TO EDIT...Did what their response to my earlier review suggesed...Still is horrible. it was hard enough to use before the update and now its totally useless. app was ok when I first got camera. now its usless. can't easily change view while editing video by just moving it on the screen. if you go through and trim or jump cut a video...the AI editor doesn't recognize the cuts and uses the entire video.

The new 4/28/2026 update broke the app. There are less auto create choices and it's now crashing all the time. Been using the app for years and it's been great till now. after the new update the amount of video that you can have ai edit dropped from 60 to 30 mins. Plus it's taking 10 times longer with less options. You also removed the ability to remove the selected audio...
1.3gb update for 'routine updates and performance improvements'? I know your app is awful but is it actually 1.3gb of awful?! Get better developers.
Terrible user experience, causes lag on the entire phone and exporting anything is close to impossible without it crashing or making my phone so hot it's concerning
don't brand my photos with Insta360
This app is all about finding out where and who you are! To much personal data is being collected. constantly needing connection via Bluetooth, wifi and location when it should not be needed. Windows open in app that cannot be dismissed. Be carefully what video you upload.

Unreliable app! It crashes when trying to export timelapse videos. Looking online, the issue is reported for more than a year. No fix was done however. Extremely disappointed.

The app loads, but I've never been able to connect an Insta360 X2 or a Go.

DON'T DOWNLOAD. big security risk you have to disable all your security and call blocker for some reason . They want you to connect by bluetooth GPS wifi . Do not connect by wifi very big no no they're gonna say it's secure, you can easily Google search all the security risk. I'm also reporting this as a big security risk . giving them. permissions allow them to have full access to any device at any time . the dumbest thing is wifi connect they would have full access to every all devices
This app is filled with bloat and has a ridiculously large file size. The editor has issues where the exported video does not keep the camera angles (it's offset by 20 degrees). Unless you have to have the videos immediately, stick with the desktop editor.
app is very easy to use end to edit with however the app regularly crashes if you do too many edits or try to export from the camera. this has been an issue for a while now and has not been addressed by insta360. most recently I tried to export a 30 second clip in 4K and the app crashed three different times and a fourth time after resetting both the camera and phone. not good enough for such an expensive camera do better. UPDATE: Developer I have 8 GB of ram and 1440 export crashes too.
Recently purchased the X4 Air and I'm pleased with it but have had nothing but issues with the app. Playback camera is awful, continuously disconnects when trying to export. My phone should be up to the task (seems to work on my very old Oppo Find X3 but not S23 Ultra), unfortunately I'm left with a consistently infuriating inability to do basics. The only good thing I can take from reviews is that I'm not alone with this.

8k videos crashing every software esp 360studio and premiere due to bad frames. Their tech support are clueless. No real software bugs ever fixed. Terrible product. The phone app is even worse...confusing editin, no logic, and then the app informs you that for some reason you cannot edit videos in the app, you have to use the ever crashing studio. This is a scam!
app always crashes after editing (won't download) and the computer program does not do the highlights or AI clip. and you can't take the files to other apps. really really irritating. I want to return the camera
Horrible app. Everytime I open the app I get ADS, and features I don't need or want. Instead of opening and using the camera, I have to waste time skipping all the ads. WHY ARE YOU RUINING YOUR OWN PRODUCT? Also, when I see AI being promoted I automatically assume the product is sht AND you have the laziest devs.
The tracking was great for a while (1 to 2 years). It just turned garbage again. The tracking program somehow assumes I want to track human even when I select a box for it to follow. The first gen is better at tracking objects than the current "AI tracker".
Substandard - The export feature on this app is not very good. Spending an hour editing something only for it to continually freeze on export is frustrating. I'm using a Google Pixel 8 Pro, which is more than capable with handling other more demanding video editing apps. Toggling to/from performance mode and deleting caches did not resolve the issue. Insta360 produce great cameras, but their software reliability needs improvement.
moments haven't been working since last last year. support was unable to help me resolve the issue so they sent me another selfie stick. now, since the latest update, the Cloud tab does not show in "Auto Edit" or when clicking on (+) button to create a video. I am waiting to reinstall the app, but over the past two years, this app is getting worse and worse! I might switch to Dji
