The application does not function unless you pay for it. And honestly for what the app is, I do not believe it's worth it's annual fee for service.
All I want to see are the places where I can find things. The other version of this App was way better. I opened the map and what I asked to show was there...all over the world! Where can I get water, where can I find camp grounds, etc. No. the whole point in the App is to show me where things are. How do I find where a water source is when Ive never been there? I dont know where they are. This App, when I opened it, would show me all over different countries, where all kinds of places are.
new updates requiring more info and less functionality unless you pay, app is slowly becoming unusable. sad because it used to be good.

Genuinely so disappointed in this app . I used to use this app to find the best hidden gems and wonderful places to camp. Now that they've switched what was a great app to a paid subscription the selection has dwindled to only a handful of options. No real thrill, no real choices (that aren't obvious attractions or parks). After reading the reviews it looks like I'm not the only one who feels this way. Such a downgrade..

True greedy, typical money grab. Never ending "tier" system now added...they say they needed to do this. OK, why not a ONE time fee instead of subscription? You failed to address that. The main issue I have mainly with this is it never stops. first they had the free edition and then the paid Edition, now they have the free edition, Pro Edition and a new one. For a user generated app, they certainly are greedy.
Outrageous! Login required as of June. Watch this app fall into oblivion, someone will invent something much better, and free which is the whole spirit of the community to begin with (people who don't want to pay to camp!)
this app has become ridiculously hard to use... I even started paying for it and still can't make it work
the most worthless overpriced app ever, cannot download more than one state without paying, stupid difficult to add places, cause you either have to be at the location or use outdated systems like GPS coordinates to add a location. 90 percent of the location info they have is either common knowledge or its overrun with paid campgrounds, mechanics etc. -1000/10
downloaded after seeing a rv van lifer use it but its a watse unkess you subscribe to it just like everything else now. deleting, not worth it.

absolutely do not download this app. desperate as in I'm looking for places to camp because I'm homeless. this app stole $30 from me within 10 seconds. it offered me $0.0 download for maps. I thought okay well I've seen this before. they're going to want to charge me money in a month maybe. it immediately charged me $30. customer service said my fault because I clicked 3rd party link. but it was a function of the app to download maps. it wasn't clear that it was third party. garbage app. SCAMMED

this app was just okay as a free app but it's certainly not worth paying for. It shows nothing of significance.
The app is useless without a subscription. I am happy to support people who create useful things and have donated money to iOverlander in the past, but the free version doesn't provide any value and the paid version is too expensive.
$90 per year so I can look at the map in satellite view? What incredible amount of greed, especially considering this is an app which exists because of users suggesting places... I deleted the app and switched to park4night, so much better overall, also much more places & filter options.
For literally no reason at all, you have to download all of the details on the map instead of them just being there by default. They've literally taken their map and said "we're just gonna be inconvenient and worse than every other app in this one specific way."
Doesn't work for me on my phone or iPad. I couldn't get anything but a white page, even after downloading a place, so I started the 7 day trial for Pro. Same problem: no map visible no matter what I tried. The old version always worked.
This app is a pure money grab. Subscription required to do the most BASIC things like DISPLAY and SEARCH locations on the map. Not talking about offline maps either...
Downloaded to find dumping stations. It would only load 1 in a 4-county area of PA. I can name 10 off the top of my head. this app is useless.
Subscribe for a BLM layer? Its available free online. I get paying for features but no interest in subscribing to anything
ioverlander1 was my favorite app. They improved it (ioverlander2) to the point that it doesn't work. I have tried & tried. I even paid for subscription. I cannot get it to work. Save your effort, don't waste your time on this app.
The"ads" which come with this app are ridiculously invasive, especially for the constant pushing of a *.PDF app.
Trash! This app is web based. its not selfcontained. The cookies you are forced to accept are hideous! They place thousands on your device. No privacy. Try and turn them off. good luck with that. The app is awful. If you value your privacy stay away. Other apps are better by miles.
This app sucks, it shows very outdated locations and comments. plus it only let's you download one location at a time or you have to pay.
Use to be free app was advertised always Free! not anymore Greed has taken over will stick to the cheap apps or free ones!
You can't search without buying a membership.
Wants a $60 yearly subscription for information found on google maps. Also wants you to agree to some nonsensical and largely pretentious responsibility pact. Garbage app get Outly or OnX instead. Would give zero stars if possible

used to be an okay app but was never my go to, now it's completely locked behind a subscription. use parkadvisor instead.
I supported the app providing them with a database and then they go paid subscription after taking my data. they really should reward loyalty

The updated app is horrible. The creators took what was wonderful and sold out making everything great be behind a pay wall. I held out updating for as long as possible to use the old wonderful version that was easy to use, could access multiple states at once, and didn't ask me to pay for every feature that makes it usable.
I saw someone mention this app how great it was on insta, now thinking she is a promoter. I downloaded the app and you can't do anything without it saying need a subscription. From the other reviews, it's apparently more than it's worth to subscribe. I didn't see any ad yet, but I'm not risking the safety of my phone/data for a greedy developer and a possibly useless app. uninstalling now.
loved the original app let me look for sights before I left the one I was at. now you have to pay 8hr of your time into money to get this app to do what was already available. how did you guys become greedy. (60÷7.50=8) using federal minimum wage.
horrible app, you have to download the places on the map but you cant access them offline and you can only have one state at a time. so stupid. these should be available by default not locked behind some paywall if the app costed money and had no in app purchases it would be notably better

Downloaded this app because a blog I follow suggested it. Unfortunately, unless you pay for premium, it's basically useless. 'The Dyrt' has a much better free version. I was using that before. I'll be uninstalling this app, and going back to that one.
I used the original app last year with zero issues. It was awesome! This version is trash. I played around with it and couldn't locate a single site. I constantly ran into pay walls. deleting the app now.
They stole the crowsourced data and put it behind a paywall
app crashes immediately on opening. miss having access to all my contributions to the maps over the years.
samsung fe21. can get map with my location. but nothing else. I have this on a table and logged in with the free version and no issues. so this is me thinking ioverlander just wants to have me pay to use the service on my phone. to me, it is just garbage and greed. prove me wrong and I will change my rating.
The original version was great. This one is just a cash grab
