The app is useless. It states that the information I entered is incorrect, but I know it's correct. I clicked "Sign in or create account" on the app, and that takes you to the website, so the app is pointless. Uninstalled.
Same issue as my other poor app users - ever since the update, the dark mode one, none of my information is working when I put it in.

didn't work at all in the several times i put my information in it. The EXACT information i put into the irs website to check refund status. i did it at the same time and this app never worked.
Entered my info and double checked for accuracy. The app instructs me to reenter the same info. And, of course I am told again it is wrong.

Uninstalled immediately after submitting my correct information 2x and seeing the Error pop-up 2x. The app is a waste of time, effort, and a data stealer.

unable to get refund info. error message say information does not match even though ssn, refund amount and filing status are actually correct.
it worked great until the latest update on April 21st, 2026. Now all I get is "incorrect information" even though it gave me the current status for the past few years before this update. Will bump it back to a 5-Star if they fix whatever they broke.

I don't know about for other people, but since this new update, it tells me. Error information doesn't match. Please reenter information. app has worked perfectly for years, and you mess it up... Typical of the government.
Recent update broke functionality. Says information doesn't match, website still works.
previous vertion worked great, the new one with tje black background broke the system, says the information is wrong... Leave it to the IRS to brrak something that was working fine

terrible, I can't get it to work. what a waste of time
I put all my information in and its all correct but the app says it doesn't match their records. So i discovered the filing status that I selected but can change the spelling of is misspelled on their end. They spelled single "singl" so i filed "single ". unbelievably incompetent.
this app this horrible. I have used the app the past 5 years with no issues at all. They updated it and every day I am exceeding my tries. I try it ONCE a day. I would give the new update a -1 but that's not an option
3 days straight it says "you have exceeded the daily number of attempts. try again tomorrow" but tomorrow never comes
Really a useless app. Why would I install an application that redirects me for everything to the website/webapp of IRS. All modern mobile applications always maintain state. This app designers decided not to do that.
I am willing to revise my rating based on aa actual response. I question the credibility of the information provided. Status updates do not change on app, yet status has actually changed. As a test I sought updates on 2024 and 2023 returns (items long since closed), the IRS app provides same status message as my 2025 return. zero credibility and unacceptable
Bad, I cannot get on. I made a pin today but now it says it is not right!! I have been trying to pay my tax for hours now. This is very upsetting.
un installed automatically. saying I exceeded daily sign in attempts. did it once... tried a second time samething... worthless application

read the re reviews after I downloaded the app. 🤔why would all believe the irs "govt" would make it that simple and easy🤣. Not the information that's list on the irs website should not be available on a 3rd party app. thanks to all the honest comments. DELETED

Exceeded maximum attempts to check status. Check tomorrow. next day. exceeded maximum attempts check tomorrow. Checks following day. Exceeded Maximum attempts check tomorrow. Apparently tomorrow is a concept the Irs doesn't understand. Its an internet website. You won't even give me 1 update and claim its exceeded attempts. Classic!
Useless lol. Every time you click something it just opens your internet browser.
they don't give you real updates on your refund the worst app my grade is F- for terrible

what is the point of this app if you have all of the correct information and havnt logged in to see your refund status not one single time and it just denies you every single time. wast of space on my phone.
