What a rubbish app. You can't pause the program to nip away or forward wind, totally rubbish
This app is the worst app of all the streaming services. It continually crashes , it continually plays ad after ad after ad. It doesn't cast correctly to the TV without playing the same ad over and over. it doesn't remember where you are in the episode, it takes you back to the beginning. However if you finish an episode and what to rewatch it, you can't do that either as it wants you to move straight on to the next episode. In summary this app is utterly totally useless. Don't bother using it.

You can't rewind live TV so dreadful for live sports. Very disappointing that ITV get so many world cup games. If I come late to a game I don't want to rewind to the start of the broadcast which often starts an hour before kick off
I really wish you would stop forcing me to upgrade. It seems to be everytime I turn the machine on!
Once i enter my pin for parental controls it just stays at the profile selection page.. Really unfortunate because it works on the browser but it requires the app to watch the content.. Please get a new developer.
the adverts suck
absolutely shocking. When you do manage to finally find what you want to watch it kicks you off of the app. Highly unrecommend
hard to believe how bad this app is. Very frustrating. it doesn't remember where you were up to in the programme and starts at the beginning every time. constantly goes back to beginning and gave up watching same thing over and over again. The developers need to listen to feedback and urgently improve the usability of this app. impossible to watch any World cup football games unless able to live.
waste of time, use this app if you want to watch more advertising then TV, it constantly freezes on advertising and the only thing you can do is go of and back on again but it then makes you watch more advertising
Buffering. unable to watch the world cup.
Buffers, Buffers, Buffers... every single time! The ONLY TV app I use that does *SIGH* Here I am, years later from my original review and STILL this App is pants! Doesn't remember which season or episode I was in. Goes into Ads over and over again. The ledgend bar stays up again and again. Buffers, buffers, buffers! I only use ocasionally and that's too often. Never, EVER would I pay for this BS!
I can't watch live TV due to buffering, then the app freezes.
Will not play streams most of the time, seems to get scaling wrong, makes android buttons appear enlarged. Video becomes briefly visible when rotating tablet. As a result it is even difficult to shut down.
constant stuttering and low quality picture
The continue watching section is completely broken! Never moves beyond episode 1 if you are watching a series and navigation on the app is extremely frustrating when I just want to type search! Definitely worth it for free but absolutely not worth paying for
crashes frequently and stream stalls
Almost NEVER remembers where you are in an episode and takes you back to the start, often even onto different episodes/series. Screen in screen function is also dreadful. Closes when you try to open an app - any app. Seems ok if the apps are already running in the background. Way too many glitches with this app that should have been fixed a long time ago. I have renewed and cancelled my subscription many times and every time I come back its the same issues. Sort it out ITV!
full of adverts
Bad indexing of series, can't identify latest episodes. Also I don't want to play ojo bingo.
Waste of money! Paid for premium to be able to watch and download things whilst on holiday. After arriving found out I'm unable to do this due to location, app will not play anything with a VPN. Also doesn't save which episodes have been watched, doesn't save place mid episode and doesn't remove things from continue watching that you're up to date with.
worst app ever. Constantly crashes, makes you watch adverts everything you continue a watch even if ita not the programmed ad break. frequently restarts a show too and forgets where you were upto and replays episodes youve already watched. lost count of the number of times its struggled to load and stuttered. this isn't just at my own house that's when I've used it anyway
Just dreadfull, i don't even know where to begin. If using WiFi it is more intermitent than someone with tourettes and a stammer. Out and out, poor!
An awful stuttery mess. Just doesn't work. Seems to buffer every 2 seconds. Just use the STV app instead for the World Cup
disconnecting from chromecast
I'm so sick of it crashing at a minimum 2x a day either on live just kicking me off the app, or watching live but 10mins behind jumping me to the current live position but being unable to fast forward to where I was so missing 10mins or having to rematch the first 30mins to get back where I was! Theres so many shows I like to watch on itv but having to miss or repeatedly watch the same bits is sooooo annoying. Makes me want to find another way to stream my shows just to avoid ITV
Wont run
Terrible app. Can't remove programs from continued watch list even when you've watched them. Resetting the app doesn't clear them either. It's a mess. So even after you say you've made improvements it's still awful to use. To cast something to your TV if you haven't watched from the start you can't restart it? How is that any use? And as of two days ago it stopped working on my smart tv. I can cast but that's not the point of a smart tv! fuming Do you even care about reviews???!
Crashes every time I try and watch live TV.
can't even watch the world cup because the Play controls won't disappear so the screen is grayed over with a big pause stuck in the middle of the screen. it will not disappear.
You cannot officially download shows on the ITVX app for free. Offline viewing is an exclusive feature reserved for the ITVX Premium tier.

NOT for android tv! even though it is available on atv store. Not able to sign up or log in either.
it just ruined the England Croatia match for us, you can't rewind or fast forward a live event so when I accidentally clicked out at half time we could not get back to watch the second half. This app sucks.

it's just awful quality... please give up the love sporting licence you have so a proper company can have it. and never allow Sam matter face to commentate again
By far the worst TV platform/app out there. No functionality to pause, rewind or forward like ALL the other channels apps and so many adverts make it impossible to enjoy any program. A broken model that won't survive the competition.
Just wanted to watch the world cup while I was out the country. But no. Need email, password, date of birth, postcode, - miss the goal - can't stream out of the country, go through a VPN, and we just get an endless buffer. Just let the BBC have the world cup please.
shocking streaming app. It keeps buffing, not good as its England's first world Cup match to night and I have to keep going back to the main menu! ITVX sort your issues out please, it's beyond the joke!
laggy on phone (pixel 8 pro), pretty poor layout and discovery of shows, casting doesn't work (saying both devices need to be on the same WiFi... they are and have app opened on both devices, other being a 4k Amazon stick). absolutely lazy companies or Devs, can't actually do a job properly anymore, takes too long to fix anything (if anything ever is), poor performance and frustrating too use, can we go back to the 00s when people did their jobs.
speeds up American TV shows - incredibly off putting when it sounds higher pitched
ITVX live streaming is consistently poor. While on-demand looks okay, live sports are locked at a low bitrate and a stuttering 25fps, resulting in a muddy, blurry picture that often looks like SD. Even on fast internet, it’s unacceptable for a major broadcaster. Compared to BBC iPlayer or STV, ITVX is years behind. They need to upgrade their live infrastructure to 50fps and improve bitrates. It’s frustrating that a national broadcaster chokes the feed to save on data costs.
you lot are taking the mick with the amount of adverts, theres adverts, and then theres you. You keep making me restart my shows, you cant fix on where i left of, your internet keeps disconnecting even though my wifi is on with full bars. These bugs are old old old, youve never fixed them. useless. i would give you 2 srats because at least it dose work, but the age of the bugs gives you 1 star. useless
