This app is totally worthless. It crashes everytime that I open it on my Galaxy s23 Ultra, or on my Samsung notepad, and on my Sony TV. They suggested fixe that do nothing. I requested a refund for the program from the Play Store and was refused a refund. I have used the Media Center software for around 25 years with good experience, but this software is worthless in its current state. Save your money and purchase othe working software.
Constantly crashes on all devices that it installed on. The program will not load content from a USB drive on a TV. It consistently crashes when trying to load the music content. The settings menu is basically worthless unless you are looking for "colors"?

Just downloaded and paid $10.79 for this app and every time I open it and try to select anything from the menu....it crashes and closes. Every time. Complete ripoff. I want my money back. Paul

I thought this app would have matured by now. It has not. Basic functionality like transitioning from wifi to LTE breaks playback (e.g. when you leave your garage)... This is the bare minimum of an app. The time lines of songs get messed up where they don't reset between songs resulting in wrong info. Future songs aren't cached so when you lose signal for a second, the tracks skip. Etc. The theming is terible. You cannot set a default library, have to manually load home lib. This is a beta app.
This one is nothing like the pc version. This one sucks. This version needs to be able to grab all audio files individually into the library and be able to play the entire library without having to navigate through folders and sub-folders like the pc version can. This also lacks options for sound processing. I cannot believe they're charing $10 without updating and improving it over time. Get it together, devs! UAPP is hugely superior at the moment!

Awful UI. It's a hot mess. Broken out of the box. C'mon JRiver! I wasn't expecting much based on the reviews but I'm a big fan of JRiver for Windows so I figured I would throw away the tenner just so I could review and encourage you guys to actually try. I now use Power Amp Pro on Android. I would love to see you guys do better as I know you are capable. Word of warning for all play Store shoppers... This app is not functional, it's not even in a bad beta stage. Do not waste your money
Doesn't easily find and load music folder. No search function to find folder. Doesn't load Playlist. Function buttons don't work. One horrible app. I use JRiver on my surface laptop. On android phone horrid. Don't buy. A waste of 10 dollars. 09/17/23: Just tried downloading the newest version of this app. Still can't load/link large library of FLAC music. JRivers continued Issey that they provide no instructions or directions on how to use products. Forum is filled with techies - useless.
Very basic but very expensive. Nothing like the desktop application. Navigation and album selection in an extensive library is very difficult. No "Folder" option like in the desktop app.
JRiver makes a great product in their Media Center app for the PC. One would expect that their companion android player would work seamlessly with Media Center. Unfortunately, it barely works at all, and if you can manage to navigate all the glitches, bugs, anomalies, and settings, it doesn't do anything more than whatever app you probably already have installed. I wasted a lot of time before giving up and simply using another player. Still using JRiver Media Center and highly recommend it.

I have the desktop software and like it but sadly this app is not good. I actually went back to a free one because it just doesn't work well or consistently. Can't even display "songs" without first selecting a different category. I'm super cheap when it comes to paying for apps and took a chance on this one based on the primary software but alas wasn't a good gamble. I'd hold off until further development has happened
A really basic music player which presents numerous problems. Simply not worth the money. I'd ask for a refund if I could find someway of doing so. No response yet from the company.Alan
Waste of money
Why is this app 9.49?It's very basic,like designed by a 6 years old.Fast forward does not work in the main player,you have to go back to the mini player to play or stop a song.There is no setting whatsoever, it does not play high resolution audio,it downsample to 24/48.What is going on?Jet Audio+ is a thousand times better and it's cheaper, even free at the moment.

Love the desktop app. The android app is buggy and doesn't work. I'd love it if they got it operable.
I read that this app has been updated and is much improved. the ui looks better, but the app is still terrible. So disappointed. Same issues as before. It works ok for a couple days, then I have to uninstall and reinstall. Really? No thanks.

Won't load, couldn't load library on SD card, cost way too high for an app that does not work. Disappointed as I use the JRiver on my computer.

Just such a bad interface for video. Problems connecting to my server. JRiver needs to emulate theater view for Android tv devices.
Was expecting better than this. Have used JRiver on pc for years and it's top notch, but this app isn't getting it. Gizmo works much nicer on my LG phone. Honestly, I'd rather pay twice the money for the MO 4media app. It does what i expect and need.
What the hell is this app? Useless, horrible... I'm just speechless... Edit: After reading some input on the forums, I'm still hoping this will be going somewhere. For now you should advertise it as a free beta until you're ready for primetime, then wel'll all be glad to pay for what it's worth. What I want is to pley my library remotely, bitperfect with a USB dac.
Umm. Jriver what gives? Your app doesn't load libraries. I watch my server send the library info to the app and poof nothing displays. I am a religious Jriver user to boot!
Next to useless if you rely on imported playlists. End up with multiple copies of each, most of which are empty.

I originally purchased this app while in Beta in 2019. The app responded poorly and crashed often. As well, the audio on hirez files crackled. Now in March of 2021 the app does not appear to be any better than the Beta. Very disappointed as I have been a Jriver Music Center for the PC for years and love it. Not sure what the app cost now but when I bought it 2019 I paid $29.00. If the app is anything but free don't waste your money. Sorry Jriver
Wow this is bad
I have just wasted £10. As someone who rates the Windows jriver player very highly for excellent hi fidelity reproduction I quickly realised the android player lacked all the sophistication of the Windows variety and was nothing more than a very simple player which as far as I could see does very little more than any number of free players, and less than some.
Garbage and a waste of money. BEWARE!!!
No NAS connectivity.
Sorry, I love the desktop version but could not see how to access nas files via DLNA. Not much use if not possible.
