useless.....won't allow you to use it unless you enable notifications. Why? I don't want or need notifications. This has become an advertising platform more than anything useful. why on earth would I want a Disney themed display? I did not think 5 year olds were allowed to drive. And why do we have dates in mmddyy? The normally accepted format for the UK is ddmmyy. I have the country set as UK in the app. The app does not even tell you service is due.
Total rubbish. Having tried for over an hour to set up my account with the stupid code that you cannot read I gave up. Much too complicated to even set up. Then it kicks you out when you try to log in again and you have to go through the procedure again.
Most useless unreliable app I've ever used. remote charging never works on the first try, schedule charging doesn't work either, just starts charging immediately. climate control doesn't work either. The app will say charger not plugged in while the car is actively charging.
Kia should read all the comments. What if I *don't* want to update. How do I use the existing version?
Very poor. Default dark theme is unreadable, registration is problematic, the store offers an endless stream of things that aren't compatible with my vehicle (PV5) with no way to filter that noise out, Kia Charge prices are uncompetitive compared to Free Octopus Electroverse, app is unresponsive when communicating with the vehicle. how this rubbish won a design award is beyond comprehension. I guess money talks.
Yet another quality update, that makes the widget display in kilometres again. Even though the app is set to miles.

Unfortunately the app relies purely on good cellular coverage within the vehicle which in the UK is actually quite bad (particularly since the Huawei cellular mast debacle) rendering the app pretty useless. The vehicle also cannot connect to a home wifi network unlike many others such as Tesla, Ford, Land Rover, Volvo and Audi etc. that can, which would have helped with the lack of a mobile signal, hence a secondary failure by Kia in this respect. Tried on 3 devices now and fails on each one.
Awful. The app knows the car I have but ALWAYS shows a different cars manual. Very poor user interface. Very amateurish.
getting painful to use
1) Often I get Error: vehicle not locked. Please check your vehicle status. 2) So I Open app => click Controll => scroll down => click Vehicle status - here Climate opens (why not?) => so click Vehicle system - and surprise you see (Doors locked, Boot & Bonnet closed). 3) One thing is the false error, but another is bad User Interface, too many steps to reach Status, while for ex. less used: Climate or Valet mode is easier to reach.
Waardeloze app! De app is traag, wijzigingen in het laadschema worden soms niet doorgestuurd. Veelste veel meldingen van het laden. Te veel reclame, ik kies zelf mijn garage voor onderhoud. Irrelevante informatie, ik laad altijd thuis, immers heb ik ook maar een PHEV. Niet meer integreerbaar in Home Assistant want Kia/Hyundai heeft externe toegang tot de API geblokkeerd.
Whilst you very very slowly transform an app that must have been designed by a child with behavioural problems into something logical and usable, please can you give us live notifications. Notifying me the next time I happen to open my phone that my car has been unlocked for 2 hours is no use to me at all. I need to know now.
repeatedly tried to connect to my Sportage but will not connect.
Terrible app. User face is so poor, and extremely slow to process command. I have an ev9 and I can't get connected to the kia store, and even when I end up connecting, I can't make any purchase at it says it's unavailable for ev9. EV9 is one of your top cars, how would common streaming apps such as YouTube or prime be unavailable to purchase on ev9. Terrible, terrible app. I've contacted your customer service both via email and in store, no one helped
Since the latest update it will not connect with the server and just gives an error code and a message to contact my service centre. Please fix ASAP
I have a 2019 Xceed diesel and since having to install this app over the old one it has been unusable. Nothing on the app corresponds with what is displayed inside the car, such as milage or autonomy The useful lock/unlock by mobile etc timeout before they are acted upon. Very disappointing after having experienced the older app
Got a new EV4 - App just hangs.
Keeps crashing on the control screen. Can't do anything, have to hard restart phone.
Why is it limited to certain countries for phone registration? Without, the app doesn't work!!!

What a mess. Car regularly fails to charge at times set on the app. And yes, it does confirm it's received the command. Trying to find the most used features on the app is NOT intuitive. IKia prefers to push it's store.

Hi, I just updated my cars software and redownloaded the kia app. The software is still appalling and non functional. Get the app fixed for historical models. This service is simply not acceptable.

Horrendous, not connecting to my vehicle and constantly having trouble connecting to the server, looks like some serious fixes need to be applied....

Since the last update the App shows vehicle status as Not Plugged In when connected to my charger, however the car sees the cable connected. Consequently I am unable to charge my Niro EV. Refreshing the status of the vehicle status in the App makes no difference. Never had this issue before the update.

Locks my phone and requires me to hard reset the phone every time the 3D thing loads in the app now. Hope this gets fixed soon.

The remote functions in the app have not been working for several months which effectively makes the app useless. The customer service team have been very responsive but to date have been unable to fix the issue.

I preferred the former App. This one is less user-friendly and filled with not needed features. Plus the App works erratically. Connects one moment, doesn't the next, need to reboot. The widget is the worse, absolutely unusable : "connection error" systematically. I hope Kia issues a new much simpler one, and stable! 01.04.26: the app worked again after my last review, this lasted 2 months. I now have a new error message and can't connect again. When will KIA solve this recurring issue??
What's new is the App seems to be broken........ yet again. Spends more time being fixed than working nowadays. So poor when we are all spending the amount of money we do to have all this functionality.
The worst so far. Has now stopped connecting to my EV6 for certain things. I can't see my mileage or power usage anymore, yet I can still lock and unlock.Previously it could take over a day for the numbers to show, Very slow. According to the app I haven't used the car in 3 days, NOT TRUE. This app has been a poor replacement for the previous one.

since the new update 25/03/2026 the app keeps lagging and just shows the Kia logo I have to keep installing and uninstall everything for a massive brand like Kia you would think the app for our cars would actually work and be a decent one at that plus it's not really fair that the Infotainment upgrades in Kia connect store are only for higher spec cars you can't even change the dark pink theme in-car you could at least put a few standard options to choose ie- a light theme or different colours

The new version of this app is horrible! no idea why they got rid of the previous app. This version is so horrible to navigate, I hate it! But unfortunately I have to use it for my car.
