I have flagged a campaign over a month ago over its malicious intent to be fraudulent since it was fully funded, they have not provided anyntype ofnupdate at all, I even sent them an email museld with no communication at all. Kickstarter has provided 0 communication regarding the reported campaign.

Backed Hexon for a airfan and they took the money and ran, kickstarter has done nothing to follow up on this and they should take some accountability
this app is full of scammers trying to get you to give them your info ... kickstarter is not the go to app for pledges or investment its an app made by a scammed for scammers... Good luck yall
They happily let scammers put products on there then hide behind the fact it's a crowdsourcing company without any accountability. They get there money so they don't care. Also the app isn't optimised for Samsungs back button, can't even get that right.
I DO NOT recommend this app any longer. It would seem that there is no vetting of creators and no recourse for those that do not fulfill their obligations. it's sad really because I have backed some amazing projects. Kickstarter needs to seriously consider weeding out individuals who apparently are just collecting money and not completing projects. They should also mandate regular communication with backers. A year without updates or waiting 2 years for projects to begin is unacceptable.
This app used to be good. There are still some good companies and creators that make use of Kickstarter. But the Kickstarter policy encourages deliberate willful fraud by "creators". Some are legitimate creators, some had unexpected mishaps. Some are frauds of opportunity and some are just frauds and now organised criminal scams.
doesn't exist in India
this app is terrible. Glitchy when you're being routed through a link. Tons of rubberbanding when scrolling in a project, to the point that I have to shut it down, re-open it and pray it works. Or better yet, just use a computer to view KSer.
Kickstarter is a fun program, however it is high risk. There are fraudulent creators who ghost backers, and Kickstarter does nothing. The app is supposed to have a way to report projects, but that function is broken... you need to explain why you are reporting, and as soon as you add text to the box, the option to send in the report disappears. Kickstarter don't care about fraud, nor protecting the consumer in any way.

I've funded many projects on kickstarter and yet 1 project greatic heated mug has been reported and yet still no refunds have been given to any backers when this was an expensive project but kickstarter take no responsibility for scam projects and say it's at "our risk" because kickstarter is not a shop Maybe kickstarter should take some responsibility and refund backers that have been scammed out of their hard earned money? For this reason I will never give them 5 stars. don't use this app.
Mobile app won't allow for add-ons to existing pledges without canceling original pledge and starting over.
Followed campaign was canceled, due to Kickstarter pay processor's nebulous policy after numerous allowed campaigns, with no warning. Very unprofessional.
App is great, but I've been scammed out of nearly $1,000 between 4 projects that never arrived. And Kickstarter won't do anything about it.

Consistent App Crashes. App crashed constantly during a release I was backing causing me to be unable to back the product and miss out.
I was scammed on Kickstarter by ugreen nas. Not recommend Kickstarter to anyone.

Absolute awful experience. Tried to back a moderately hyped project at opening and ran into server errors and app loading issues for an hour. Missed out on early bird pricing and now it will cost me over $100 more because the Kickstarter servers can't handle a load in 2026. I will not be looking to back Kickstarter based projects in the future because of this experience.
For all of their international hype, they need to build up their throughput.

Both the app and website completely break for more than half an hour when trying to back a project. Useless. GraphQL errors in the app, website errors. Unresponsive. useless useless.
What happened?! I never subscribed to ads, but lately I've been getting tons of spam! I'm tired of clicking the "unsubscribe" button, but the spam keeps coming!!!
Can't login. I can login on the website but got an error when trying to login to the app using the same details.
I did not receive my order I paid extra and the transport as well... The quality in most things is overrated and expensive... No more orders ... Even they don't answer your questions... totally unacceptable ...

Kickstarter is a great idea, don't get me wrong. I've been backing projects for years! Unfortunately for a little over a year now, Kickstarter has my account under "review" it says, yet NO ONE will respond to my MANY pleas for help and an explanation. There was never a problem with my payments, I have never complained, yet Kickstarter has blocked my account with their "review" status; yet they do not seem to do their jobs whatsoever; not one response, not one question, they seem to do NOTHING
Avoid this app at all costs! You will wait many months, if not years just for a POTENTIAL product. If anything goes wrong, Kickstarter will ignore you completely. This app is rotten to the core and support staff try to talk 'terms of use' to avoid accountability and action or support. Kickstarter terms do NOT trump your rights under consumer law. So ignore their excuses. Should you proceed anyway, know that a bank chargeback is your ONLY way out.
if you back a project through Kickstarter you may as well kiss your money goodbye. You will be at the mercy of the project developers and their willingness once the project is in production to actually send you what you backed. Do not expect Kickstarter to do anything for you if they do not. 5 years on many of us are still waiting for our VR headsets from Apara which are NEVER going to come. Kickstarters only response to us was that our complaint had been received.
you would think that a company ha doing peiples Financials would be easy to work with as a customer, but the lack of customer service is embarrassing. not to mention this company opening lyrics allows scammers to continue to harass customers and has little to no repercussions for the scammers in question. overall if you are looking to start up an add campaign for your newly found business dont start here. get a cheap website domain and create a donate link, im sure you will have more success.

The outstanding pledges are from Jumpac 5 in 1 car assistant, Anyonebot M1 lawnmower, Afar frame, and Eaget personnel cloud. There is no way to get a hold of these people, the websites are disabled.
it's nice to be able to keep track of your projects that you've backed but some things don't work right, such as reporting bad creators.
Good products (occasionally) but when there is fraud and no delivery & unable to contact creator, Kickstarter are pig-poor and worse than useless. 4 times I've had nothing from my pledge!

Very buggy. Gotta hit the back button twice for it to go back. Can't find my address info to make sure it's correct. The website is better. This will waste space on your phone.
Payment is broken and doesn't support any proper ones
Buggy. UI not well designed, from how hard it is to quickly review projects you've backed, to the campaign not being the first tab on project pages- you have to navigate to even find any details on what a project is. I just had to open the app 4 times to get it to open... There's some good ideas on the execution, but mostly it's bad, better to just use the website.
It's so frustrating that kickstarter is littered with AI stl projects and over sexualized female character stl projects. Also, when searching for any project, if you click on a project you've searched for it doesn't load. 48!! I counted atleast 48 active stl projects with over sexualized woman. This app is starting to look like a club for men into war and woman. its hard to find a stl project that doesn't have at least 1 of these 3: sexualized woman, AI, grotesque masculine war.
I just updated this app and it won't properly load things and keeps logging me out. Fix Please
