I find that kijjijji is much more complicated than it used be, for someone like me that is not tech savvy at all. For that reason I don't use it anymore.
Used to be good now marketplace has taken over... only cheap and scammers on this app...

Horrible search engine. you should be able to go into a certain category and search for a specific item, but instead it searched all categories. Unable to modify notification preferences (have all off except for direct messages). still getting notified of other items.

Kijiji will be a thing of the past in the next year or two, cause they refused to adapt. Instead of making things easier for the user, they go against the user every step of the way, and care more about their greedy pockets getting filled. Nobody actually uses it nowadays. Another failed Canadian company. FB Marketplace is 1000x better.
NEW BADGES tied to banking systems interac is a joke, this app is dying slow. Kijiji shared my name and location to authorities, and authorized them advanced tools to access my account without a warrant. Nothing came of it but just beware if you say the wrong thing on here they will come. In my case it was over Incentivizing illegal commerce aka trying to buy fish.. if thats even a crime. I didnt make a big deal of it but i was woken up out of my sleep to deal with the officer at the door.
Piece of junk won't even let me sign up.

april 2026 update, my account was suspended and blocked for" serious violations " buhahahaha, how and when????? support completely useless,no answer for simple questions.after 10years of using blocked because of morons. fix notification in message,not sure why not getting messages in real time,and its not only problem with my phone.and another thing, that stupid app keeps telling me that is no network connection when in fact is connected. Useless,mobile page way much better and lighter,removed.

infuriating. cant pay to post an ad, the app crashes every time. reached out to support, they sent a long winded paragraph of information they needed including my phones operating system then closed the chat less than a minute later.
garbage doesn't work, won't let me post without paying and won't let me pay to post everytime it glitches deletes everything and shuts down when I click pay. it isn't cheap either lost 2 hours trying to figure it out wouldn't waste your time, this apps been on a steady decline for a decade

weak app
Ads are terrible and intrusive. I can't look at some of them. Too bad because the filters and search parameters are good. But I've uninstalled it. Another app ruined by ads and greed.
I spent 15 minutes on Kijiji writing an ad only to momentarily switch to YouTube so I could copy a video link for the ad itself - without closing Kijiji, I came back to the app no more than a few seconds later and every single letter that I had written in the ad was completely gone. I was forced to start from scratch. I've consistently had issues for years with app clunkiness and inconvenient bugs that force me to do things I don't want to do within the Kijiji app. I will not use Kijiji again.
Too many ads App is now unusable. The amount of ads is nearly comical. Parody level comedic.
Android - leave your review doesn't work. It hasn't worked for months. when I click on the link in email it prompts me to re sign in even though I'm already signed into the app. Canceling it or signing does nothing..
Without the User, there is no app. Kijiji needs to remember it started by being the "Free Local Classifieds" if i wanted to pay id take out a classified in the back of the newspaper

Funny way to kill your business entirely addin paid ads now everyone's just gonna use Facebook market place you could have just shut down kijiji instead its gonna have the same out come imagine not making money off your business N really thinking shooting yourself in the foot is gonna help make you money in conclusion tottaly UNUSABLE app now not worth anyone's time now was fun while it lasted I really did enjoy kijiji before yall made it trash.
total rip off now, they make a ton from business and are greedy enough to rip off individuals with high postings costs yet they do absolutely nothing at all, if individuals didn't use this app they would make nothing. not only are the individuals the product they sell to businesses paying high posting costs they also want the people the product to also pay high costing costs with a massive chance you don't sell and on top of that they want even more for other features

Really really buggy. Doesn't let me post to it. As soon as I select a photo to upload it restarts to the home screen. Shame. Edit: app updated 22/03/26 now nothing works. website functions, just nothing will show up on the app. uninstalling this garbage.
I can't post any listings. first time trying so it's not like I'm banned. Frustrating
used to be good. now wants $20 every 30 days for every item to post an item on top of massive ads. explains why I can't find anything good on here anymore. Will delete.

Was a great app, the bones are still there but the constant in-line Temu ads pretending to be classifieds are cask strength slop and utterly ruin the UI experience.
ive been a kijiji member since 2010, and ive been targeted by Kijiji forever flagged down to pay anywhere from $6-$10 to post ANYTHING in a few categories such as automotive. Some of my ads have been present for over 6 years and theyre forcing me to a paid subscription for that singular listing. Regarding the garbage app; Whenever I need to search and delete listings, its impossible to find the item. The search function for your own account does not work. Facebook has been largely successful.
Now charges $ just to post. Then an hour later your post is buried 500 posts down.

The web version is better than this app. Kijiji screwed us so the web version no longer works from my phone.
pictures not displaying in real-estate category
two years since my last review. The BACK button still doesn't work! Pay me and I'll fix it for you. Kijiji, I can recreate the issue and workaround and know a proper fix. I'm a software developer. Also, the listings are flooded by TWO commercial sellers, making it impossible to find anything that isn't theirs. "Uncle Weiner," you're a blight on the app
My experience with this app is poor at best. Cannot delete recent searches within the app!!!! Why bother with the app when I'll just use my web browser? Will the web browser erase my recent search history? YUP uninstalling this app deleted the recent searches - YAY problem solved.
Businesses on here completely defeat the purpose and have made it so overpopulated with ads. you have to do 5 minutes of filtering before you can use the app. thank you for asking.
