Stop sending me spam notifications daily. You don't even use notification channels, so I can disable the garbage spam and marketing while keeping important transactional notifications. koho has really dropped off after adding premium plans and crypto scam coins no one asked for.
Constant advertisements via notifications. No way to disable the spam without also disabling transaction notifications. Edit: down to 1 star since I recieved 3 ads as notifications today. If I turn off notifications I cannot get purchase notifications / notifications I might actually want to see. And it's no better when you enter the actual app, which I avoid unless absolutely necessary. KOHO more like SPAMO.
absolutely awful! I'm trying to close my account and because I don't have $1- i have .46 in my account, they can't close it. I can't transfer MY MONEY unless I transfer more. Absolutely ridiculous to deal with, customer service is no help what so ever with any issues. They may seem like a good choice, but i suggest using someone else. There's other banks that do the same thing, have better perks, and have better reviews and better customer service. Can't open a new account with new number either

Avoid this company. I’ve sent 70+ emails over a week and still can’t access my funds. Their ID verification is a broken loop that support refuses to manually override. I was told multiple times my account was “ready” only to remain blocked. Even a supervisor failed to read my file, got basic facts wrong, and sent me back into the same broken loop. They are holding a fair amount of my money hostage despite me following every rule. Stay away. Filing formal complaints with regulators now. STAY AWAY
this app was great till they updated it, now I can't accept etransfers through the app anymore it's been frustrating I have to delete my app and accept etransfers through web browser and I already tried to reach out to them and they just say delete the app and reinstall in which I have done so many times, not happy with the app update.
worst app ever not only are they thieves by stealing from me but half there junk dosent load and I had a chat open waiting for assistance only to find out they closed it after not responding for 45 minutes and it should be illegal to force me to talk to someone just to close my account yet here I am waiting to close my account while they steal e-transfers ment for an actual bank
Difficult fo contest frauds, especially with google products Been having 3.21$ charges for Google cloud even after ahowing proof that I canceled the service . No phone custoner service And problems getting the app on my new phone ! Trying once again a 3.21$ charge but unable to contest it on my labtop...
KOHO has been one of my worst banking experiences. An Interac e‑Transfer to my KOHO account went missing, and instead of a clear explanation, KOHO sent a canned message blaming “the Interac system” and implying Interac was holding and “releasing” my funds. The communication was vague, evasive, and lacked any real accountability or technical detail. This has completely destroyed my trust in KOHO, and I would not recommend them to anyone.
new forced separation of account is annoying. guess all good things come to an end. koho was good once upon a time.
won't work
downloaded 2 apps on my home screen so i'm guessing the email you sent me was hacked because i was able to change my password and get the password reset but after changing it .... I could not log in again. ill report where I know ow it should be reported

It's a scam that promises you benefits and rewards but the benefit is that you can never cancel and the reward is that they continue to charge you even when you revert to a free account. Used to be a bug supporter until they changed their platform and became a scheming and corrupt organization. biggest downgrade ever, just use Neo instead, it's honestly better. P.S They'll say that their support team is "always available" but the odds they respond on email is 0/10 and calling in is useless.
DO NOT SIGNUP FOR THE CRYPTO. IT WILL LOCK YOU OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT AND THEY WONT GIVE IT BACK. I AM NOW LOCKED OUT OF ALL MY MONEY AND NEED A LAWYER
this bank was good even tho it's all by a.i until I paid a loan through them and the the bank says I didnt pay even though i have a transaction and is charging me again i will be going to a new bank. if I could give zero stars I would

Terrible app and untrustworthy brand. You do not have a peace-of-mind with koho should you encounter fraudulent activity on your card. Choose a better card service.
I loved this app and koho but I can't get into my app now and I've tried everything. it's taking me to the new application to taking photos of my ID and needing a video.
scam app.
Terrible experience. after canceling my credit building account, they kept charging the account, and then sent a collections agency after a canceled account that was done months prior. I deleted the app 7 months prior after canceling the program, and they kept charging me! what kind of fraud is this! im going to dispute the charges, and recover any amount lost due to this company. Borderline scam.
the app will not open
don't open account here. I went to chat with AI and I mentioned that I want to close my account so AI blocked me from accessing human chat. finally when I got to talk to human they were suddenly experiencing technical difficulties and they couldn't close my account. personally I would not trust these people to handle my money. terrible service 👎 UPDATE... my account is finally closed that's why you can't find me in your system. This review is definitely for KOHO Canada from ex-customer 👎

koho sucks I've been waiting a refund since dec 5 2025 was told it was sorted out and I'd have it in 5 days well in still waiting..... bs bank I wouldn't even bother!!!
Opened an account online thru their app and within a week my account was closed without any notification or reason as to why it was closed but coincidentally it happened as soon as I received deposits from the government which no funds were returned to any party. When I reached out to them it was always sent to a new customer service agent and had to tell my issue to each and every one of them with no result or answers. So basically they stole my money and put me on a merry go round. Thieves!!!
worst app ever used
Hello, I don’t understand why I am still being contacted. My account was closed and the balance was $0 at the time of closure. I have screenshots confirming that the account was closed with no remaining balance. Please stop contacting me regarding this matter. If necessary, I can provide the screenshots as proof. they asked me to make payment the account was closed. Thank you.
I do not recommend, roughly 4-500 spent on this. did nothing but cost money. app is very unclear and designed tie up your funds.
Great until you actually need some assistance. Required a form to be signed and dated. Something that takes 5 minutes, yet its been a week with no answer. KOHO the establishment of silent quitters.

Now it doesn't work that way, at this point you might as well combine round-ups with the vault as they're functionally the same. Unfortunately due to some recent changes made by the company regarding how certain services work, it is not as good as it used to be.

KOHO’s update is half good, half nonsense. I’m glad they stopped auto‑pulling from Savings, but the fine print completely contradicts the message. They say “your savings stay untouched,” but then quietly add that they can still dip into Savings/Vault for fees, subscriptions, or anything I owe them. So it’s only “protected” when it benefits them. That’s the part that feels shady.
I don't like this , BUT others love it sooo if your bad at having TD then I guess this helps
experience was good until fraudulent charges started coming out of my account. I informed koho and they did nothing. The fraudulent charges kept being withdrawn from my account costing me hundreds of dollars.
