Helpful in the beginning but then starts to get expensive
Its not good the service is not good
the app is well structured to learn a language, BUT it is so buggy and it seems like the subscription offers are not working... edited review after the issue has been resolved with a manual workaround. still does not change the fact that the app seems to be unstable. edit2 apparently I got confirmation of my plan with a trial, but it does not show up in the app and wants me to buy another plan. play store on the other hand shows me my subscription although content is nice bugs makes it unusable
it used to be a 5-star app, then recently Ling was downgraded to mimic the failed downgrade the modern duolingo. Ling is now totally worthless, just as duolingo is now. This used to be the best language learning app we had left, but those days are over thanks to whatever out-of-touch CEOs are making these horrible decisions. I'm not changing this review unless you bring back the old Ling. the new ling sucks so bad.
Lot of bugs in the app. The screen keeps loading, the subscription page keeps loading, if it does get loaded, it does not allow any option to be selected saying the option does not exist. It is practically unusable
the first two lessons were free. After that all off it needed the subscription.
uninstalled this one instantly, you hit a pay wall before your first lesson. double the cost of duoling premium unless you want a 7 day trail with an automatic 12 month renewal end of day 7. I bet this app is mostly just taking the dollar off the poor souls who forget to cancel
The voice recognition is completely broken now. I have tried it with Japanese and Armenian courses. It just does not work anymore, at all.
new update has an issue with microphone permission
The lessons don't load. Stuck on 23 percent
Liked the app but after getting to the first voice session it just keeps loading midway through and won't let me continue
The app keep crushing. I've got the paid subscription and for the first couple of weeks it was working fine but now it seems to crush almost every day
Arabic speaking practice does not work yielding a zero every time. This is not the case with other typically hard to learn languages eg (simplified) and Chinese. Some of the languages throw you in at the deep end instead of teaching you to sound out the syllables. Slowing the word or phrase down is not as effective as breaking the syllables down one by one as you can in other apps. If it were not for the Arabic issue I would have considered a year subscription.
I paid for the app plan, the money has been deducted from my account, but the application shows that the payment failed and my Pro plan is not working.
