I installed this app because the ads lead me to believe Ling didnt use AI, I was wrong. I deleted similar apps like Duolingo specifically because they used AI and I cannot support the unnecessary damage AI is doing to our planet. I was hoping Ling would be a human only alternative and deleted it as soon as I found out otherwise.
I don't like the experience and the interface

Glitchy even with paid account. Lessons crash halfway through or fail to register fingertip inputs regardless of speed.
worst app. when the speaking part came I turned on the microphone and said the words but it was not Able to hear I thought it was a mobile problem but nothing was wrong with the phone the app had some bugs I would've download duolingo but it didn't have the language I wanted to learn
Change or cancel your plan though Google store. Few problems there. No subscription shows up in Google store subscription/payments. Then when you write support about cancel. They give a list of places to go to cancel. Delete your account and still get charged. Cancel and they still charge you again. If you are getting the feeling they are playing a shell game so you can't cancel or change you are correct. VERY VERY SUS, I would recommend not using this app.
whatever I say it is the same voice but this app should get banned not good duolingo is better ima delete this app or I cant talk to my friends
Avoid signing up for the free trial. Impossible to cancel before the trial expires. Customer Support have not been helpful so far. All replies seem to be generated by a robot/AI - email replies came back within seconds and with same unhelpful instructions.
my brother purchased this without my consent and I requested a refund because he spent 85 dollars for a year and they won't allow a refund
Not for beginners! Instead of explaining how a sentence is set up, they keep throwing new words at me. After quite several lessons I still don't know anything about the language. They say something and I click on the words they say, but still don't know words like I or You or And. I don't know what words go together. It might be fine for advanced speakers to improve but as an absolute beginner I'm totally lost, not learning. Drawing letters that I don't know what they are, just following lines.
don't like pay wall popping up very distracting for ADHD
This app is fine. It has options for different languages that other apps don't have, but there are absolutely no free features. It's kind of frustrating since pro is offered as an "option," but it's not. It's the only way to use anything within the app. That was kind of misleading.
I tried learning the Japanese module and it jumped right into phrases without explaining what they mean, and then asking what the meaning was. I knew a little, so I was able to get by at first. The speaking module was broken. I had to press to speak, wait a second, speak, and then wait to seconds before I ended the recording otherwise it would permanently load. The Hiragana practice was even more broken. It just straight up did not let me draw the characters. There are better options.

I was liking it, especially that you don't lose your lesson after a few mistakes! But in pretty much every lesson there are mistakes, missing words in the dialogue, audio that doesn't match the text, a blank cultural note. There are grammatical errors in the English ('what' vs 'which'), which makes me doubt the Danish accuracy. My streak was reset by daylight savings change, they promised a fix and failed and now I find a load of lessons I already completed are locked and unavailable to review.
