I don't understand how this app has a high rating - this is the worst login and password reset experience possible. Virtually impossible to find any information without calling, you need an account to add a reservation or do anything on the app, and neither password reset or membership number finders are helpful. it's an unfortunate let down given the other booking experience on the web is good, but the login and account issues are not limited to the app.

Worked fine until last update now it only opens to a black screen and spins. I called Marriott for support and they admitted tons of users locked out. reinstall etc. will not work, Marriott should know better, please update and fix. Android v12, app advertised to work and it has worked great...then BOOM no worky.
I was disappointed, found pricing to be higher using the app than just going to the website.
Haven't been able to log in for days now. Sits on black screen with a spinning icon.
garbage, never works when you actually need it but sends endless junk notification constantly.
The app rarely works, often failing to login or make bookings.
Terrible. And confusing to use. And buggy. Simply trying to check-in, in the app, for a reservation that was prepaid ... but no ... all you get is a pop-up stating something about the "hotel needing 1 hour before 4pm or 30 mins after" ... for an online check-in at 6pm. Go figure. Why offer these features if they are unusable....
The app is not opening, just spinning
the app constantly crashes. Same problem as many with app saying my phone is rooted and then crashing. Over the year it has been the same issue. The app is useless most times and I wouldn't want to rely on it for electronic keys or anythg of that nature. 06/21/24 App progresses to be even worse.Samsung phone not jail broken and app fails to open. Awful app for ppl not using iPhone. Makes it inconvenient to book w Marriot. June 15th '26 update. App states security and crashes. Now totally useless
the app is totally broken. Since June 26 the app won't open, just spinning circle of doom. From the comments I see I'm not the only one ! Needs an urgent fix. pixel 8 pro here.

Can't even get passed sign up. I tried to create an account but when registering, it keeps saying to add a number or special character (!@#$%_), which I did, but it's not registering any of them, so it keeps telling me my password doesn't meet the requirements. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling, tried my to create the account on my web browser, on my laptop, & it still doesn't work. Not sure how it has higher than a 1 star rating cause this app is useless.
App no longer works
can't join. no explanation why.
Can't login, says error code 500 every time I try.
Marriott app doesn't even load anymore. just spins on welcome screen. on two different androids... same result. non functional. SPG app was so much easier to use. Their user interface is confusing
Nothing works. I try to update my information and it keeps giving me an error message. It won't let me update my credit card info, so it won't let me book.
can't log in
App has not worked right in a few weeks...it wont let me make a reservation as it keeps giving an error message any time I put in a credit card number, now it just spins despite uninstalling and re-installing the app. Needs to be fixed!
