The app installs fine, but is glitchy. I have found Bluetooth connection is better without the app installed. App makes connecting harder and adds no additional functionality. Save yourself a headache and don't install.
I have repeatedly uninstalled and reinstalled this application. I acquired their speaker only a few months ago. While the application functions flawlessly on iOS, its complete inoperability on my Android device is profoundly disappointing and falls short of the expectations one holds for Marshall products.

After connecting with my Major 5 I see the headphones in the app, but cannot do anything with them. Everything is blurred and I get a pop-up "Turn on your Major V and keep it close by" even though the headphones ARE connected and I am listening to a podcast.

The headphones are good, what can't be said about the application. I listen on my old Samsung S9+. The application requires turning on location - the battery drains quickly. When I turn off location, the application doesn't work. What does the application need location for? I don't use the application either, I use the player's equalizer.

Dissapointing. It is extremely difficult to pair to a device. They give you a notification apologising for a blootooth issue with "some android devices" but does not offer any solution!
I purchased marshall emberton 2 today on 6th March 2026 i faced marshall application not working and when it's working after 5 minutes one error sound in speaker and disconnect from the marshall application I feel bad now not satisfied with this product because I can't use equilizer from the application of marshall and other features. I hope marshall resolve this issue ASAP thank you 🙏🏼
The Emberton 2 is not supported. Whenever you play a song, there is a sound of a bug. After that, the speaker is disconnected. And it turns off, please fix this issue.

Don't Buy anything Marshall. (January 22, 2025)... Over 1 year and Marshall hasn't fixed their app... Update: February25, 2026. Still NOT Working... Worthless for the Emberton II.... double shacked Feature is NOT Working.... my 2 Emberton's CANNOT be stacked... (20 watt + 20 watt = better sound)... I only to receive error message from Marshall is sorry and they are working on it... hmmmmm, so well does that leave all of your Emberton customers... Cannot Recommend Marshall products...

Really surprised that they bother to create an app that does nothing except disconnect a connected speaker.
Can't connect my brand new Major V. Im on Nothing Phone 2, i tried on iPhone and doesn't even connect neither. I tried hard reset and neither works.
Just asks me to connect to Willen when I hit Update Firmware. (despite me already being connected) and it just throws me in a loop to settings. Then back to the app, and asks me to connect to be able to update the firmware (despite the app showing it connected) This app has always been trouble
This is rubbish, what a let down for Marshall audio. Your better off using another sound Beautifier app than this useless rubbish!
App has been frustrating to say the least. Sometimes it see the devices and lets you mess with settings and other times it just doesn't exist. And now with the latest update the app doesn't even open anymore on a brand new model phone...... love the speakers and amps, but your app needs work.

DON'T BUY MARSHALL PRODUCTS. I’ve owned my Marshall Stanmore II since 2022, and it suddenly became unusable, the source indicator is stuck, and none of Marshall’s official troubleshooting steps. Their response was to offer: 119.99 EUR to repair it (including shipping), with a 48-hour payment link, or 20% discount on a new full-priced product. For a premium speaker that failed after only a few years,its extremely disappointing. After their reply, and my further communication the answer wasthesame

All this does is constantly search for my Middleton, even after it says it is connected. Uninstalled and reinstalled, unpaired the Middleton, etc... Tiresome, not going to try again.
Have to uninstall and reinstall to get stack mode to work about once every week. Constantly fails stack mode if I don't. An Emberton II and a Willen II used to stack without hassle. Last few updates causing them to either fail totally or forces one speaker to override the other (either one) no matter what I do and no matter how nearby they are. I try everything up to and including factory resets, checking firmware, resetting BT, even being sure that the device clock is accurate.
