it is stuck in new York, not Seattle area

ADDED TO GROUPS WITHOUT CONSENT. event times unclear - no longer display in own time zone. link for online events less easy to copy. bloated size. search function issues. many ads! :/ app goes from bad to worse. Meetup - don't leave a reply here asking me to write to someone, just take the comments here forward.
$10/ week for access, when 80% off reviews are talking about how it's only getting worse with each update? no thanks.

I don't know how to turn off my subscription. The app doesn't have a settings section that I can find and I just got charged $84

Meetup sucks. I haven't used the platform for some time. In a nutshell, it's been "enshitified." Meetup has prioritized profits over user experience. It's clunky and basic features are hidden behind a pay wall.
Horrendous search function compare to web version.

This used to be a decent app but it is garbage now. a competitor is long overdue! this app sucks so bad and they want so much money to use it. ads spam no control unless you're paying more than cable for it This company needs to evaporate
All the groups say Meetup renewal fees have gone up so they are closing. Greed.
The app isn't free, but the most important thing is communication.
Destroyed by Greed This used to be a useful app with a reasonable balance of paid for and free features. Unfortunately, every update since has made usability worse and reduced the free features to practically zero. This is self defeating as the app is so dreadful that free members won't go to events thereby reducing income for paying groups. Since, the last upgrade I am taken to the login page every time I open the app even when I am still signed in! How can you make an app so awful?

Use a proper age limit. Teenagers are not over 18 if you couldn't tell. Just say 17 plus.

I keep setting it to no notifications, yet I am still bombarded with notifications and emails.every single time anyone posts an event.
meetup is the absolute slowest app I use. I try to connect with my favorite group and NEVER get it to open on the first try, it ALWAYS take 2-3 or more to open.
Extremely obnoxious UI, convoluted and cramped. Constant notification spam unless completely turned off and then impossible to turn it back on or only for certain groups (some you can and most you can't for uncertain reasons) Paywalls for virtually every feature. Bombarded with ads for other services any time you sign up for an event. They try to switch the payment button around so you accidentally click on it when trying to say "no".
Price for subscription is absolutely insane for no benefit. App is buggy, rsvps often don't work.

Meetup devs cannot figure out how to block spam. Want your favorite group to have fake profiles that post fake jobs? This is the app for you. NEVER pay for an app that was developed by people that don't know what they are doing. Premium subscription for what ????

Date filters are absolutely terrible now. Can no longer see events in date order.... Great app rendered borderline useless by poor updates.

Misleading UI to push subscriptions. Account configurations (e.g., interests) missing despite having selected them earlier. The worst offender is that I was added to at least three groups without my consent, and they were based on location data which I repeatedly did not approve to share. Given that group members can access certain information and features (e.g., direct messages) depending on the privacy setting, this is dangerous and malicious.

There is a massive UI flaw literally... I RSVP'd to an event and got my ticket, but on the day of the event - the organizers closed the RSVP, now instead of showing my ticket which I had already got, it's showing me "RSVP closed" in the place where the ticket button was supposed to be there...
app is trash.
$9.99 a **week** opposed to a month is too much for this app to be taken seriously. Threw away my money for events that ended up getting canceled.
they open an ad even if you have not clicked on it. just awful!

Forced monetization has stripped the basic free app of many past available features. Not as good as it used to be. Keeps getting worse.
one of the worst apps ive ever had spams me with emails even after deleting my account and takes ur money even if u sign up for the free option
full of IA slop courses. I hoped to find something natural to find some group of people to have a simple convo or a simple padle play, and what I saw is just another slop app. nobody is in there and everybody is looking to sell you courses. AND you have to pay the app.
Even worst since managed by Bending Spoon. Impossible to browse events in another city. Incomprehensible layout of the interface. Bending Spoons, typical start up with aggressive growth and arrogance. My customer experience 1 out of 5.
