The washing machine has a good wifi connection. How hard is to make an application that set a program to simple washing machine?

I'm astonished this app is as terrible as it is given how great their appliances are. Slow, crashes, buggy as all get out. How about some favorites like letting us have our own saved settings for different types of clothes? Truly amazing hardware with 1985 software. Do better.
This should be user friendly and a breeze to use. Instead it's the opposite. If you manage to get through the convoluted set up of your appliance, there is an even more complex process to activate the mobile start. Miele needs to do way better. If you offer an app, make it functional.
Needs work, slow, time outs, names don't show correctly, crashes, api is always slow too. Another day with 500s and timeout, perhaps don't render webpages as UI and you won't overload your servers with app requests. Start looking at CMP or Flutter etc Nearly a year later and still mostly unusable.
slow and difficult to use
Miele’s app demands Wi-Fi, location, camera access, and stores pics for 14 days-just to run a washing machine. “Smart” features break if you opt out of tracking, and your data is shared with Adobe, Amazon, Google, and more. GDPR-compliant? Barely. Ethical? Not even close. A premium appliance shouldn’t require surveillance as a subscription. Avoid unless you’re fine with your laundry habits becoming marketing data. Fix this, Miele. Until then: 1 star and a GDPR complaint.
When I first read the ratings of this app I thought, well maybe that was only so bad when they first started with it, but no. I can confirm that it is super slow in response and the functionality is for the birds. My recommendation to the Miele product team: Fire and rehire a new app product management. Will now go ahead and remove the app and deactivate WiFi for the oven.
Never seen such a broken app and website. Couldn't register on miele website as it couldn't validate the adress, no option to add it manually or to edit it. Downloaded the app, it won't let me add address either, says technical problem. How can I buy anything form your app or website, why is there no option for 'continue as guest'?
awful, tried to register a vacuum, won't work, takes an age, terrible customer experience
the automatic connection doesn't work. prompted to scan the QRcode- QR code scanner doesn't work with or without light. prompted to scan or take photo of serial number, automatic reading of serial number doesn't work either way. entered the serial number manually, server error. absolute garbage.

forced to re login, fine, but then all my appliances got deleted. wasted 15 minutes (app is so slow) trying to add one appliance back just for it to error and not work. restarted app couple of times and the appliances just came back. I rarely use this app but when I need it and I have to waste 15 minutes for nothing, because the app is buggy like that, that's just not good.
okay. love my new laundry set but for the price tag, this app is HORRIBLE. They need to start from scratch with a new development team.
don't bother with the higher end dishwasher, the automated start is an afterthought. the remote button should be a setting, not easily turned off. 40% of the time the dishwasher has not run, so confidence in this unit is very low.
You should be ashamed of yourself for this piece of excrement app. Can't create an account, and when I create an account on the website, it still won't log in. Won't send a password reset. Tried with multiple email addresses.
Why I am unable to add appliances on two separate devices (mine and my wife's) simultaneously? The app also feels very choppy and cheap.
can't redeem my foc items. the written instructions mentioned to go to the "Shop" button in the app, but there is none???
Absolutely ideotic decision to not be able to register the same appliance to two different accounts. Homes have more than one person that needs the app. Using the same email and login credentials on two device is not OK for many reasons!
The function for washing machine is pointless when I have to turn on the machine manually before I can remotely control using the app
App is tedious and takes way too long. If you are putting a QR code on a device, why do I need to manually enter a serial number which is on the bottom of an installed advice and impossible to access? Just a poor design.
The application is ulseless. Very slow, sometimes the appliances are not available, connection with the server is garbage. Trashy app! Shame on Miele for this!
Connecting to devices is unstable. Even when specifying the IP address manually I can't add my washing machine.

It's one year the app proposes an update for my appliance but when I try to start it, the update is no more there or I got a message of techical issues... one year not one week or month... absolutely unmanaged by Miele
I've been developing apps since 1998. Mobile apps since 2012. The dryer/washer/dishwasher are awesome. The IoT aspect of, is abysmal and incredibly bad for a company that makes so much money. Random issues: Accessibility: null (increase font size and see, forget TalkBack!) Connectivity: good luck making it work. Today the app changed its ToS so I got logged out (?). ok log back in: all appliances gone. have to re-pair them. if you thought Bluetooth was bad, wait for Miele IoT!
very slow app, only useful feature is the notification that the machine is done.
My freezer FN 4312D ws is shown with the symbol of a coffee machine in the list of devices.
Just after they installed it there's now pooled water all under my sink from the install after one use. They're now closed, not taking voicemail, and I have to wait until Monday to TRY and reach someone, AND their app's customer support messaging is inexplicably not working and telling me to try again later. Shady and UNACCEPTABLE! I will change this review back to 5 stars when I know I'm getting 5-star service.
Got my Miele integrated fridge/freezer. Downloaded the app for ease of temperature adjustment and notifications but despite the premium tag, the app is absolutely abysmal. It doesn't even have basic time sync working properly. Such a shame they wouldn't upgrade their app to meet the premium standard of their product.

Can't even log in... Reset not sending email...
Connecting the appliance (dryer) to the house WiFi via the app works fine - but once the dryer shows "connected" the connection to the dryer's WiFi drops and the app keeps waiting and never notices the dryer is in fact connected. Trying to reconnect to the dryer's WiFi doesn't work either because it's password protected. Tried several times. Connecting the dryer to the house WiFi works, too, but again the app never finds it although app and dryer are on the same network.

most time you cant connect to your device from your app, washing machine has its own attitude just like its name Miele.
getting through to a rep for oven moisture plus failure for 2nd time very time intensive. Still waiting for a call days later for them to come out to fix.
Really slow app, it does not load sometimes. Please update it...
I do not want the advanced support feature and do not consent to sharing the data. Stop asking my every time I open the app.
