Useless app
My car used to connect perfectly with the old app, this won't even let me add the car because it "can't " register my car to my account or it can't find it. Edit: my car is from 2016 And that is why it is no longer compatible with the app. thanks for the clarification

so after a good experience (app wise) with mini north Scottsdale where I was able to schedule an oil change on the app-by luck because there are like 14 different oil change options 🙄 I decided to change dealers (mini NS lied to me). now I can't set an oil change appointment to save my life with either one. what an 11/10 PITA these cars are. it would seriously be easier if I could just text someone. update. website is down- can't make a payment on the app. make it difficult to pay you.🙄
The June 12, 2025 5.6.1 update no longer connects to the Bimmer Gestalt AAIDrive app. The MINI app is primarily a tool for product promotion, but with the ability to connect to AAIDrive, is actually very useful. Without this ability, I'm supporting a product promotion tool, giving it all my data for free, with little value. The latest update seems to be more focused on product promotion rather than actual utility for MINI owners. As of 7/2/25, the 5.6.2 update is released. Still not working.

App has completely stopped connecting via apps to my car or allowing me to send destinations. I've tried so many different methods to connect and created a ticket with Mini that has gotten no updates for over a week. Really disappointed as everything worked perfectly for months.
5.6 update broke all connectivity. cant use my phone with my car anymore. no way to turn off auto updates
update 18 June 2025: the Mini app update broke Bluetooth connectivity with Spotify. it's like my car just became a 2010 model. 😡
since the new update i lost the ability to activate the apps feature
Worked fine until the most recent update, which totally borked the ability to connect Apps (Spotify, Alexa, etc.) through my phone over Bluetooth. Please fix this ASAP 😭

Can no longer Login, even after updating PW. App keeps returning me to login page or crashes.
It doesn't work in Vancouver, Canada.
So now the app does not work. My info has not been updated since 10:48 am and it is now past midnight. The car is not where it says it is. Etc.

Poor experience with suboptimal routing and now telling me not connected to the internet, yet I can still post this review. Make your cars compatible with more than just Apple devices or program them better.
App never works to lock/unlock doors anymore. Only updates other info sporadically and can't force a refresh on it.
I have a Cooper 2019 with a mini connected package. Still when I add my vehicle to the app it says not supported. I tried calling the customer care but they don't know what the issue is
Why can't the car simply charge when plugged in, and stop charging during a designated no charge time period where power rates are high, and then resume charging after the no charge period is over. Simple, and always keeps your Mini ready to roll. The updates makes app even worse. Now it is unclear as to the time the car actually charged. Important with TOU power plans. History is still over 2 days ago. Commands to car is slow and only works sometimes. I expected more from BMW. Total fail.

This app doesn't support older models. i have a 2012 Countryman and it said that " we couldn't locate your vehicle " which probably indicates that the app isnt for the older models

Most urgent issue is that the app hasn't updated from the vehicle successfully for four days. I phoned support during the hours listed in the app and was told it was outside their hours (both EST). The app interface is not very intuitive at all.

Why do I keep having to re-activate My Trips on EVERY DANG UPDATE????? Had I not even logged in today I wouldn't have even noticed i haven't had trips logging for WEEKS, too hard to notify me?!?!!!! I have enough other issues with my 202FIVE car and dealer that this is just icing on the cake for hating this car and support, er lack of.
Wish it wouldn't ask for a rating before I even used it. It won't allow me to add my car either so kinda defeating the purpose of downloading it.
when selecting "find my mini" it never updates. today it was 8 hours old. how does that help anyone?
Just got a new OnePlus 13 Android phone and found out it can't be used with newest mini digital key. This being an Android device it's very strange as the phone can be used for all other functions but not the most useful , digital key. It had no difficulty being used on my Tesla, not sure why they are so device specific. The phone has Google wallet just like all the other android devices. Anybody have any idea if it will be supported as the feature made it very easy to support multiple drivers.
