I had been using the app for 6 months to save and it was working very well and I was extremely happy and confident in it but then last week I deposited £1000 which has just disappeared, it hasn't appeared in my ISA on the app, the app is trying to say they never received it but my bank is saying it has been sent and received. Regardless of the worry this has caused me that I have just lost so much money I have also lost a weeks worth of accrued interest. Will be looking for another provider.
Just moved to Moneybox and the app is awful. Horrible to navigate, impassible to find anything, impossible to see actual interest earned by period, no easy view of transaction history. Run a statement and it shows no interest at all. App shows total interest in one place and doubles it up on another page. Rubbish.
kept telling me my UK phone number was not a valid UK phone number so I was unable to even get past signing in
I was enjoying the app, but I’m aware that the investments made in Moneybox are stored with large banks such as HSBC and Santander, which I personally have ethical concerns about, as I don’t agree with how they may use funds. Because my priority is ethics, I can’t give a fully positive rating.
Dreadful interface. This app should be used as a template how not to design an interface for future students of mobile apps. The UX is equally poor and the layout is confusing as hell and it's a guessing game as to where you can get the info you need. Today I logged in and had a message from Laura thanking me for choosing Moneybox but I can't get rid of the damn message and it's blocking nearly 50% of the interface as it's an overlay!!
Awful experience. Experience was fine up until I wanted to try and get my money out. over two years later and I'm still trying to figure out how to get my money out.
BEWARE - they have AI responding to customer service queries and it's handing out incorrect info. BEWARE - when selecting product account if select wrong one there's no way to cancel/swap to another on app. Have to contact them to cancel for you. And despite not opening the account you're now an 'existing customer' so rates aren't as favourable. What app doesn't let you cancel when in application phase when you haven't agreed or confirmed anything? Poor design. Have taken my savings elsewhere.
Absolutely rubbish app and web page. My partner deposited the full amount into a cash isa. Receives email confirmation but unable to look into the account only put money in, which is a joke as its at then limit now. Sent messages on chat and STILL waiting. 😡
could never put money into LISA. whenever I called they always waffled about it being HMRC's problem, however after calling HMRC and starting a LISA with Plum I know this isnt a case and now have a LISA with Plum instead. no more waiting 5 days for collections, can just put your money in there instantly. Do NOT get moneybox, they don't know what they're talking about

I find it very difficult to work with Moneybox. there is no option for instant transfer to your account. I have been waiting for a transfer to happen for more than a week. since it only does the transfer per week no matter when you request. Given the bank holidays I missed the April deadline for ISA! overall, it is very confusing.
Not user friendly at all. Way too much useless stuff on there. Too much crammed into a small space - 'find out more', prizes, etc. Just rubbish. You need to go digging to try to find your accounts. It needs a major revamp to make it easier to get rid your own account faster and easier. There seems to be even more rubbish on it as time goes on. It's actually getting worse. Please simplify it!!!
Opened an account two weeks ago and now see that interest rate for new customers is a lot higher. obviously not going to uplift to existing customers, so moving to a more competitive rate elsewhere. I urge all Moneybox Cash to shop around for a more competitive rate elsewhere.
Opened a Moneybox Cash ISA a couple weeks ago and was happy. I then see the rate has gone up by some way for new customers. I asked the question if there is anyway of getting that rate, which the reply is no. I started the process of moving my cash ISA to somewhere more competitive. I got a message from Moneybox to say that I could not transfer back to Moneybox again. I suppose this is to stop you moving away and coming straight back again. I'd of stayed with Moneybox if they matched the rate.
useless. cant open any isa without linking to your bank account via direct debit. i dont want to do that.

Awful app. Very difficult to navigate to find what you are looking for. I had to turn off ALL notifications from my phone settings (no such option given on the app) as I kept receiving really daily messages to deposit/invest more money.
Moneybox has delayed the release of my LISA when I wanted to purchase my home delaying the overall process. I wish I could share the chat here but the team has ghosted and not responded. Even the response they share is asking me to wait for an admin error from their end. Its unacceptable.
you are creating problems with asking for updates. I am being asked for information I cannot provide.
they charge you for the ISA account, when I try to delete my account its forcing me to set up a direct debit before allowing me to delete

Great products, but sorry the app awful. it's difficult to find what you want. Just give me 1 tab with all my account listed, to which I can then click on to give me all the information I need for said accounts. You have to go from tab to tab find what your looking for for individual accoints. I haven't got a problem with companies advertising there other products but it's on every single tab, it looks an absolute mess. Why go to settings to make a payment? should be in the accounts main page

Too bad because I have been processing my money withdraw for the last three days.They were showing me the withdraw of the 23rd, today is the 26th but I can't find any information.Those people who are on time don't give the withdraw on time.And to stay in another help chat I send continuous frequency messages but no one answers me.I have submitted all my required documents for the last three days yet they still tell me that yours is under review. please help me for this.
there's an app update every week( really annoying), they should probably sack the team if they keep including bugs in every release. obviously if there's no bugs they don't have a job.

Decided I was a financial risk without having discussed it with me first. Now my trust in other providers besides my current account provider has been negatively impacted.
None existant customer service. Raised a problem via chat, the only method available, but no reply after a week. As I was unable to transfer existing ISA I closed account and went with Trading 212 who had better rates anyway.

But main reason for negative review is that it takes "1 working day" to withdrawal your money. Thats ok, but it is actually more like 2 or 3 days and now currently I've waited since Thursday morning. Its now Tuesday lunch time and still no funds back yet. No,it is not my bank (Barclays). Poor

Fairly easy to set up the app but horrible to use. I just want to check my balance and look at my account. I don't want pop-up trying to sell me other accounts, I don't want silly "game-i-fied" reveals. Feels like the designer had ADHD.

despite only putting money into an isa on the 1st day available, moneybox have me an old rate. then refused to honor the current rate so I had to transfer all the funds back out again to a different provider. what ever the interest rate advertised should be the rate you get. its a complete fiasco and can't recommend these cowboys at all. I don't care what excuse you come back with, it's been a terrible experience and when your dealing with people's trust you should behave better.
your app, confirmed by your support, does not enforce 2FA on login, so anyone with just the username and password could gain access to your funds
I used to find the money box app easy to navigate but they've made changes and it's now more confusing and less intuitive.
This is purely a review on the function of the app - it's really poor and needs work. For a cash ISA it tells me the interest earned on the day but no running total. It gives me a "+£" total earnings value but fails to explain how that's calculated.
Just be aware new customers get better rates of interest than existing customers. Once bonus rate expires on a cash ISA you have to accept the underlying rate and cannot be upgraded to the higher rate new customers receive
It used to be really good app, simple straightforward, saving and investment. Unfortunately they went similar way as many banks, so now it is over complicated, deceiving, hiding features and adjusting weekly deposit is nearly impossible to find. Shame. It is clearly design again users
Never had a chance to use this app. As soon I registered and logged in, I get nothing but a blank screen. Tried deleting and re-registering my account - same thing.
Authentication is quite annoying. Dashboard and notifications are ridiculously impertinent and irrelevant to my goals. But at least I can check it's all there.
