You can get an idea of how bad an app is when you get frequent prompts to download it when you are using it! Very little works, e.g. things like download document buttons do nothing, some functions tell you visit the website instead, there is little to no clarity on how the app should be used. All in all it's very much a beta app so I'd recommend not trying to use it until they produce a more finished version.
App does not work, I only get a title at the top saying Account and a blank page. I have tried on multiple devices android and apple

i am unable to load chat for support. it takes forever and keeps showing loading..after i click close, it shows the assistant for 1 second before it disappears. i am unable to talk to support because of this. please fix the technical issues.

Very frustrating when a simple task of adding a PDF receipt won't work, I have given the app all the permissions, and cleared the cache, made sure the version is the most up to date from Play store, it still won't upload the pdf files. from my device or google drive as it automatically opens this when you select upload a file. if I try to take a photo of the receipt, its way too big and won't upload, even the lowest resolution on my camera is more than the 4Meg limit for 2 files.

Customer service basically had me restart the app and check again (remember I'm having to reinput all claim info each time) just to find out that it really doesn't work. they didn't sound the least bit bothered and basically said they'd send me an email to submit. poor.
I just installed the app and its immediately harassing me asking for a rating. instantly hate this app now.
your app is terrible i would not allow me to upload my receipt no matter what I tried. different names and formats. your website allowed it straight away. by that point had wasted 30 mins of my time

App keeps crashing when i try to change childs appointment permissions. Update: Tried deleting and reinstalling, still does exactly the same. You can contact me if you want to look into it, I can live with it. 1 star remains though. 2nd update: Spoke with somebody from the technical team. Force stop app, uninstall then reinstall, the usual suggestions, none of which worked. Left it with him, that was two weeks ago and heard nothing since. 1 star remains.

this is awful. you have all of my details, why are you asking me to give you a full history, including address and postcode of my NHS surgery, just to book a Bupa GP video appointment (when I've done this previously really quickly)
utterly useless. Makes me enter my email, says I need to set up a new account but after entering all details says I have one already - so I can't get into it at all. I am going to delete this app as it is actually worse than useless
Used Bupa online for years. Was prompted to download the app and couldn't upload a PDF receipt, app simply wouldn't take it. Went back to the website and easily submitted my claim. Rubbish app.
What a poorly tested app. When uploading a dental claim you cant attach a file, you cant take a picture because of the 4mb limit; and you cant save the claim for later. @Bupa are you actually going to sort this out ?
unfortunately it keeps crashing. Also it doesn't have a way to send a message to Bupa out of office and my wife is not able to book an appointment for my son.

I am new user, but it's showing a very bad/poor app, is not working at all, never open, I The app won't open. I even thought it was a problem with my phone and internet, but it's not,,, the app simply won't open and I can't do anything! I always have to do it on the website, and the website suggests confirming in the app!!! Please fix your software/hardware problem so you can get 5 stars!!!
after taking all the time to make a claim and I hit submit i then get a message to say sorry this form is not available now. please try later! Disappointing!

The app will not allow any receipts for dental expenses to be uploaded. That makes it useless. I have tried taking a photo and uploading a file and nothing works

awful experience. had a video GP appointment, app didn't show my video, kept coming up with app not responding errors, eventually crashed mis appointment. Google Pixel 10 Pro, Android 16. hard to recommend. when there are plenty of suitable video calling platforms that are platform agnostic (Google meet for example), why Bupa wasting efforts on their own broken mess?
Doesn't enable you to add your account details. AI assistant is thick as mince. chocolate teapot of an app.
Beyond useless.
Couldn't even make a simple claim. The app made me to visit the website and the website's claim menu redirected me to the same page over again.
Really badly designed finder systems for doctors, not accounting for someone who doesn't have a car, etc. It also doesn't let you copy and paste your membership number and pre-authorisation number which you always need. Just overall a really bad design and it takes you ages to book anything.
rubbish - had to download the app to complete assessment form but after doing that the app told me to do it via a link in my confirmation email. I didn't have an email confirmation, so still unable to complete the assessment.
I hate that I am being forced to download an app just so that I can complete a questionnaire. why can't I do it on the Bupa website? (I still need to have an account, authenticate with 2FA etc). do better BUPA!

often when I submit a claims form it says this form is not currently available and you have to fill out the whole form again -- very frustrating. get one star because it occasionally works. this has happened over years but the tech hasn't improved.
