open the app to a blank screen. tried to update, but there is none available. uninstalled then re installed and still.a blank screen. waste of time
unfortunately whatever checks they do don't protect you from scammers. I contacted support after I discovered that the work was awful and the guy was not answering, but they couldn't/wouldn't help because the guy deleted his profile. don't use this thinking it will protect you from scammers. Their verification process is bad.
BE CAREFUL- get verifiable refs- ID, DBS - it's a scammers home

I can't sign up just get to point were say email code and nothing happens just want leave a review for a person who took scammed my mum
very poor, wanted a simple thermostat installation, didnt get a single response from anyone tradesman
I got someone to do work in Mybuilder app, he scammed me and when I reported him with the app, they gave me a fake address for him and did nothing about it. I asked them to enable me to leave a review, maybe that would put pressure on him to return the money, or,he wouldn't be able to scam anyone else, but no, because he didn't declare taking the job I am unable to leave a review. I thought finding someone using this app was going to be safe, but it wasn't.

After providing my contact number on the app I received 7 spam calls the same day to my mobile.

Messaging feature frequency fails, meaning you cannot communicate with trades. Easy to post, often impossible to actually book someone. Reinstalls don't resolve.
Scammers everywhere! MyBuilder does not check if companies are real or not. I found two scammers with different cons. One came to my house, within 5 minutes of leaving, he called me to give a quote, but the "special offer" was only available for 48 hours and he needed the full amount in cash upfront. The second scam sent me a quote with a bill for £150 for drawing up a quote, yet we had never interacted at all prior to this. I've deleted the app and my profile. Do NOT use this app.
I had an extremely bad experience with a tradesmen that I found through this app .. the tradesmen who came to do a job at my house ended my causing a flood in my house , the tradesmen did not even give me their liability insurance document but still demanded money from me for the job .. im a first-time buyer , and nobody has still fixed the damage to my property😪. stay away from these people .

I found a scammer. so I wanted a simple job someone contacted me on my phone, wanted deposit and then gave me 100s of excuses for not coming and not giving the deposit back. then on the website they cancelled their account. scammers are in the website. don't use it

terrible app trying to get on profile to sign asked for code had 4 sent through but doesn't recognise the code very clever not
cannot get into it, it says it will send a code but the code doesn't arrive before it time out. I've engaged a builder through it but communication is difficult because of the security. He says he has sent a quote but I cannot access it. MyBuilder has not emailed it to me.

It's an awful app, every time I go back it exits, and it's really hard to track who you are chatting with. I've placed one request, but I definitely won't be using the app again.
Tradesmen quoting without even seeing the job, no breakdown of a price and no mention of any guarantees.
Lol i have just 500 letters i think i will need 5000 just to say everything, but better avoid MY BUILDER the same way u use to avoid the public transport on covid times LOL ,u have CHECKATRADE OR U HAVE GROUPS ON FB WHAT THEY CAN RECOMMEND someone for your needs this people are just after money the take mone for the traders doesn't matter what. A company what doesn't have a phone number,a company what doesn't have a good communication a ......... company AVOID AVOID THEY ARE worse than COVID
Do not use the traders are not checked and I got cowboyed on a roof job which lead to a whole roof needing doing.
Connected me to a scammer (Fend Group Ltd). I will be sticking to checkatrade going forward.
You recommend roofmaster they did a terrible job on my roof and damaged my gas boiler lm in the process of taking them to court for damages.
Stop pressuring people to download your awful app
Impossible to log in. The link to log in just leads back to the page to request a link or code by SMS. The SMS codes take a long time to come in and if I leave the the page to do something else, it resets back to the main login page where all I can do is request a code, meaning whatever code I've just been sent is already invalid.

was good now doesn't open on android. I found 4 good trades people on this app after much ghosting from others off FB etc but now all of a sudden it will not open on my android despite my uninstalling and re installing. Such a shame!
sound notifications needed. this app supports messaging but seems to lack any notifications... other than having the app open and reading through ever job and each contact.
Hard to contact the tradespeople with this app.
Keep not working
So far I've had a lot of no shows to look at the job. The app doesn't let you review traders who let you down like that, only ones who take the job. So these guys have unblemished five star reviews on mybuilder but don't keep simple appointments or text to say they will be late. The app should fix this as they are just incentivizing empty promises.
