Super buggy, I keep getting rate-limited when just trying to find a coffee place on the map, which is the most basic usage possible. This must have been vibe-coded, there's no way anyone could use it before otherwise.

Attempting to create an account is labyrinthine and oh so painful. And then you create one just to get locked out. I got stuck in various loops with buttons that didn't work and repeating error messages. A dreadful user experience.

not loading even with a korean esim
Needlessly difficult to create an account as a visitor. Like others have been reporting here for years, upon verifying by SMS, my new account was instantly suspended due to my travel eSIM being a "suspicious mobile network" - as I'm sitting in Seoul roaming on SKTelecom. Naver's responses to reviews pretending that they have no idea what is happening are also disheartening and show that they have no interest in letting visitors have a good experience with their app. Use Kakao instead.
One of the worst install experiences I've ever seen. Leaving the app to get the text to confirm account creation clears the new account screen. There's no way around this. Using social media logins fails as well. Don't bother with this waste of time. 0 stars is a more accurate review
you'll get banned from creating an account if you don't live in korea due to "suspiscious location or abnormal activity". lots of people posted about having this same problem on Reddit.

dont work
installed because I needed to book an appointment, the app asked for registration. Registered, but could not chat because of age verification. Then my account got suspended. Spent 20 min to book an appointment, but got suspended instead.

Not helpful towards non-SK residents. Locked our accounts upon opening. Would not unlock even after all required documents were provided.
Sign-up ridiculous. Account immediately suspended as I tried to set it up outside Korea and I arrive there tmrw. Who'd have thought anyone would do that? So suspicious. If u think I'm sending you copies of my passport to unlock it just to use your app - forget it. A total waste of my time.
stupid bus guidance
The worst map app I have ever used. Could be because its just not designed for english users but it had issues with Korean (copied from hotel instructions) but it's also full of ads as well making the user experience cluttered and confusing. Gave up and used Google maps as a normal map as it still shows you where you are and it still gave accurate information for public transport.

The application is very disappointing. I can't use it at all. I'm looking for my guide somewhere but I don't know where the restaurant offered is.. strange
My account is suspended for logging in out of nowhere. I live in Sweden so I don't recommend people living outside of South Korea to download this, because you will get stuck at log in process after your first use and all your saved places is gone.

I did my installation and subscription. Naver found my log in suspicious and blocked ny account. Congrats boy. You even dont deserve 1 star
can't login ,try all Google accounts, Facebook and Line. Keep saying my account is suspended even after all crazy receipt verification
try to sign up. after get all information done and password set, need to verify the number on receipt. so stupid. believe type correct but suspend my account
Worst app ever! Signed up for just a few hours to plan my trip then it suddenly suspended my account. It told me to press "Next" to proceed to identification proof but it just kept loopback.
Completely unusable, tried to login in via Google, account suspended. Tried to register account, account suspended. Similar story as all the other travelers. Use a foreign phone number/IP address to register and you get auto blocked for "suspicious activity from your location". Imagine geolocking your entire app when the many are recommending your app for use for travel to Korea. Don't bother downloading, waste of time.
monopolize the market but still has so many flaws I used it during my first trip to Korea and it was fine, but now that I want to use the app again, it suddenly detects "abnormal registration", and there's no way to resolve this. No agent to assist even though the app has so many issues. I met someone who encountered the same issue 2 years ago, and I see multiple reviews experiencing the same thing with no resolution to date... please look into this, admin.

Difficulty registering an account, then stated my account was locked out. KakaoMap is far easier to register and use. I cannot recommend Naver Maps.
the worst app ever
poor management of the app. it suspended my account right after I sign up and entered a wrong character etc at the sign up page. it won't give me a second phone code even though I want to redo it again. is there a way to bypass this headache cause I'm heading to Korea in May and need this app to navigate. I am trying the other one called Kakao map and it seems better and much less hassle to sign in.
banned account because it "was joined from abuse-suspicious location or in an abnormal process". Absolutely ridiculous. Cause I joined from outside of Korea? Absolute joke. Also no easy way to recover or get help.

hard to sign in
This app is needed in Korea for navigation (Google maps does not fully function in korea). But it is much more stupid, for example : no location sharing. The search function is also bad, automatic pops suggestion into typing area. Immediate delete after use.
As with many other users, accounts created will get suspended without any valid reasons. Wasted time to bookmark and all are gone. Not useful at all.
doesn't work with foreign phone numbers. online support is also useless with help

I was suspended as soon as I tried to make an account because of my foreign phone number. Attempts at trying to verify my number just tell me to contact customer service. I just wanted to plan my trip :(
