won't let me subscribe, goes round and round chose area ,then subscribe then choose area . hopeless
So i originally purchased my maps, now I have no access to them. unless I repurchase them under a subscription. this is illegal in europe under the consumer rights act 2015. thus is no longer fit for purpose. either allow customers to restore their original purchases, or refund their original purchases. please also supply an email address so I can pass on my solicitors findings..
used to be great i found some good fishing spots using it. but now it doesnt allow me to sign in and when it does it says I need to subscribe when im already subscribed and then it says error if I try to subscribe because I am already subscribed. so its essentially an endless loop that doesnt allow me access when I already paid for it. i only have the one account and one email for it so theres no reason for the issue. not to mention their prices are ridiculous now
price increased again. Charging me for maps in a country I'll never fish... looking for other options. Garmin ruined it
Too aggressively using GPS.. can NOT stop it from fully murking my phone battery JUST because I have "paired device" connections. refuses to release location data unless I "disconnect paired devices", which is not an option the app offers. deleting the connections is mot a fix, disconnecting from wifi is not a fix, and turning location to "only while.using app" is also NOT a fix. let me exit the app, whe. I say exit, exit. whe. I switch apps, stay using location. how is this so hard,.garmin?
pide tarjeta de crédito para probar la app.
Have a Navionics head unit on my boat. Used to check the maps on my desktop or phone every once in a while to just explore. Way too much to pay for that.
Lost all the touch with reality! $80 a year for maps? I didn't pay $40 two years ago! What a bunch of losers!
I too purchased this app a while back when it was a one time payment of $15. Then one day, the app would no longer work with no explanation or a simple heads up. Zero loyalty for your paying customers. Reading the reviews here ... looks like you got what you had coming to ya!
useless without subscription
It is obnoxiously dead after subscription expires. If you have instruments from manufacturer, go to their site, they may have navigation apps. mine is B&G - plotting/planning much better than this, and it s free.
trying to purchase with Samsung phone will not allow indicates a bug fix is needed
Overpriced garbage. The app was worth it for the original price, especially since you could use on it a tablet for a second display with your boats electronics. The new price is just pure greed, especially since the app isn't very good, and poorly designed. You can get used chart plotter for less than 200.00 dollars that is a much better value, if you want a dedicated nav unit.
Garmin thinks they are the pioneers for nautical charts or something. $50 subscription just to see the same charts that are available from a dozen other places. I will be switching my graphs over to lowrance. What a greedy company. Its not enough you buy thousands of dollars of plotters from Garmin. Now you have to have a subscription for the app. Useless.
i used to love it, then they got greedy and removed everything funcional and put a paywall to a mediocre program. i was a loyal customer, now Im royally pissed off
completely useless without subscription
nothing works tired if fooling with this overpriced app
Pay for your own data 😡 Our boat was struck by lightning right before sailing her from Greece to the Netherlands. We installed Navionics on a tablet to use on our way home, where we're going to refit and repair. We won't be buying anything Garmin though, as they are forcing us to pay at least €45 to export our own tracks with an active subscription. We're not going anywhere for at least a year so not worth it. So byebye tracks 😡 Avoid this app if you want access to your own data!
Auto updated and lost my 1 time maps for life. now is a subscription.
I bought the subscription, recommended by Nautic Ed for Tides and currents. However, they don't work for most areas. What is the point of the app, if that doesn't work? What's the deal Garmin?
I bought my charts and now they fecided I have to pay anual subscription! Never were they supposed to expire!
I did the free trial. After expiration I tried to subscribe but It always tells me my trial is expired and to subscribe. it's one endless loop. Cleared all caches, removed and reinstalled the app numerous times. Doesn't work.
Absolutely ridiculously over priced, used to be a great app but greed has killed it 👎
cannot get the sp 200 sonar phone to hookup to the navionics app. they claim just turn on and go. I have spent the entire day and still cannot get it to work. there are no help files, you click on the manuals and it's a dead link. complete trash if it dont work like they say.
you change my subscription I had Mediterranean now you only have for Ionian I want a partial refund your action is ILLEGAL ############ IN RESPONSE TO THEIR ANSWER I AM NOT INTERESTED IN CROAZIA in Grecia I can have mooring electric water and great food for 2 day at the price of 1 day on bouy in croazia. I THINK ORCA IS A GOOD COMPETITOR ILL GIVE THEM A TRY GOODBYE NAVIONICS I don't care about charts croazia
impossible to cancel auto renew or cancel even if you call garmin
The app auto subscribed when I updated my payment information, so I guess I'm in for another year. However, this is my last year using this app if major updates aren't made for what is being charged now. The app has not changed or added anything substantial in the last 3-5 years but has raised the subscription fee from ~20$ to now $50. Almost criminal.
Horrible! Nightmare experience for sailors. I have an automatic extension of my subscription but I was offline doing this day and navionics (Garmin) blocked my navigation during my one week Carribean sea crossing!!!! No data, no ais no map, nothing! They took automatically money from my bank account but my plotter stopped working in the middle of the passage with crew on board because I was not online! Someone should pay for this! I advise to not use it as a main navi, always keep some backup.
I've cancelled my subscription. Navionics charged me twice the past 2 years, and say I have 2 accounts registered to 1 email/1 credit card. How is that even posssible? And why didn't they close one to resolve the issue last year? The Navionics app is not worth 1 annual renewal fee, let alone being mucked around over refunding a duplicated renewal fee, and then being disrespected as a customer with a partial refund for the duplicated fee. Navionics clearly don't value their customers.
Garmin ruined an incredible product. Your customer service is terrible. I will never purchase a Garmin product again, land, sea or air.
This was a great app, but removing the charts after my subscription ends has turned it into a terrible app. Time to look elsewhere
why cant i get it downloaded to laptop it just to bloody hard to or impossible why
The app quit working after 7 months (paid for 1 year), couldnt get any help getting it working, then it auto-charged me again for another year. still doesnt work after talking to 2 different customer support - and being promised it would be resolved quickly. For what its worth, it worked good while it worked. I would not purchase this product again.
terrible android experience. low resolution, lags, and low accuracy
I have had this app for many years and really like it. I first bought it when you paid a one-time fee. Fast forward to now where they want 50/ year. I love fishing, but can't justify that for the number of times I am able to get out each year.
Map is off by at least 50 meters which makes it useless . Shoals that they showed dont even exist! As an ice fisherman, I wasted $79 and 2 days fishing with garbage app. I will have to go back to my old ways. looking to get my money back somehow Ive had it a week
contempt for the customer it used to be, that when you subscribed to a set of charts, you could keep them past your subscription as long as you didnt delete them now, navionics is trying go squeeze more money from their loyal customers by making the charts disappear after your subscription ends. shame on you. your app sucks and there are soo many more features you could implement. ill be looking for an alternate now
why doesn't auto routing work anymore? I get an error msg claiming I need to update maps, but there are not updates. why did Garmin destroy the cartography world? wow, look at that the second I post a complaint it works for the first time in months! idiots!
well I gave it a try. the static crosshair is way too annoying. will not be purchasing again and not every ring is marked on the map. so how am I supposed to know how deep it is when the crosshair is giving me whatever depth it wants?
What used to be a great app was destroyed in the name of profit. Reading through the reviews and especially Garmin's answers says it all. People talk about lifetime subscription they paid for, which Garmin denies ever existed. So who is lying? The company who pulls this kind behaviour is surely to be trusted, right? I paid a lot of money to BUY digital charts in this app. Not rent, not temporary, not subscription. Now I have access to none unless I pay a yearly RANSOM. Just stay away!
app keeps closing on subscription page
Being charged an additional $80 plus tax for the phone app after buying a Livescope bundle with Navionics is a whole new level of insanity. Apparently the phone app has additional features that justify a second subscription. Terrible customer service.
JUST deleted this app. Have had a prescription for a decade. I live on a Texas lake and used it. Now I have tried to renew my prescription several times and they want EVERY log in and security code that you can't remember after years. I JUST WANTED TO PAY! Smh... TRASH!!!!! I'm looking for something different. Good luck to you all with this... 💯
Garmin is not telling the truth. one time (lifetime) subscription is what I was sold many years ago. after about 4 yrs of use they demanded an annual payment. I tried to talk with them and they were extremely obtuse and would no longer honor what they originally sold. Therefore I did not pay, so they retaliated like a child and whipped my data. not long after that they blocked all usability of the app. DO NOT TRUST GARMIN
no good detail for Hawaii waters
Only trial then ko?.....
Paid for this app years ago for unlimited use. Now they require payment.
Life time Subscription I bought the lifetime subscription for $9.99 years ago and now it is telling me that my sub has expired. and yes they did offer lifetime subscription it literally said that in the description when you signed up for it so just because you don't have record of it means nothing. also you charge way way to much for the subscription.
Stupid. Just wanted to see the app checking if its something I want. We should be able to check it out before giving out our info. Needs a revision.
You pay for a Navionics subscription and garmin expect you to crowdshare your logged routes so THEY get free updated information. That is beyond rude! Rather forget garmin and buy Onwa Plotters, with AIS and get free Worldwide Charts for life.
