app still has BAD CAMERA which makes it nearly impossible to make deposits. It's been over TWO years since NFCUs developer switched to a poor camera app that does not focus for mobile deposits! NFCU will not accept the poor image quality their app provides because it DOES NOT FOCUS the camera. NFCU rejects my deposits OVER and OVER because they are blurry, readable but blurry. I called and reported on January 3rd 2017!
Since the beginning of April I have been unable to view my credit card account in the app. It's still visible on the website, but not the app. NFCU says they know of the issue, but won't say what it is, what they're doing about it, or when we can expect it to be fixed. I've called and written them and get no answers. After more than 40 years banking with them, they've lost my trust, confidence, and now my business. The changes at NFCU over the past several years have ruined them.

Doesn't work anymore, permanent state of "repair" 10/20/25 still under "scheduled maintenance" on a weekly basis, oftentimes more than several days out of the week. 10/22/25, scheduled maintenance, again. 11/3/25, scheduled maintenance. 3/30/26, scheduled maintenance. 5/3/26, scheduled maintenance. 5/5/26, scheduled maintenance.

The app is not opening. I have checked for updates and even restarted my phone, nothing worked. The app pulls up but almost immediately closes.
Creating a minor account is ridiculous with NFCU. Create a digital form so it's easy! I can't believe how difficult NFCU makes simple things. It needs new leadership!

No idea how to add money to my account without going to the bank. App is congested and overloaded with nonsense. Can add a external account but it says it for car loans and mortgage. Credit score that isn't your credit score. Kinda like the credit apps that do nothing but drive junk mail to you. Confirmed by phone rep named Melissa, you have to zelle or go to bank or a atm. Like a Visa prepayed card lol
The past couple months it has been almost impossible to deposit a check via the app. For some reason the pictures it takes immediately degrade/pixelate and then are said to be too blurry to be accepted.
It takes forever for transactions to come out or even show as pending and for the pending transactions it does show, it glitches and shows duplicate transactions, including a total amount as both the transactions coming out. I used to be able to rely on this app but for the past 6 months or so, it's been very inaccurate regarding account balances and transactions.
I can't sign into app anymore. It keeps saying to reset my password, put in password wrong to many times
can't login, even after getting off the phone with customer support my login was temporary. I couldn't view my accounts or my money on the app or website. called back customer support and now I'm back at square 1. unacceptable

hands down worst banking app ever!!
This app was so bad that I actually switched banks back to USAA. Too many issues to list including constantly being randomly timed out while ACTIVELY USING the app, not being able to complete routine transfers because of never-ending loading screens, "Making Cents" showing incorrect account figures for NFCU accounts but not external third party accounts (that's embarassing), frequent offline maintenance periods that dob't even address and fix key issues, etc. And no HYSA options...ripoff.
bring back the widget for Androids! super annoying to have to sign in just to monitor balances. 🙄 app is getting worse and worse.

Every time I try to open the app it tells me I need to update it which is crazy considering I literally just updated it.
Why is the app always having issues? Last week technical issues prevented me from adding a bank account to transfer money. Today, technical issues prevented me from making a credit card payment. I wouldn't be annoyed if NFCU communicated these issues & presented a timeline. I've been with NFCU for years and it wasn't until that crazy overall that I've had constant issues. Still not a fan of the new look and interface. please communicate known issues with a banner on the app home screen or email

Doesnt load half of the things. I can't look at my profile and it won't allow me to use my card bc there is apparently a different address connected that I can't see on the app but should
4/2026 Would you please not charge us interest for every 12 hours the not-so-known issue is resolved? c/c not showing in the app & balance (in xfers) shows 2x the actual balance. V7.0.12 9/2024 The site became useless - now the appl is too. Constant crashing (post cache and data cleared) on load for at least a week and no response to feedback with application data. Bring back SMS command banking for times when your appl fails us or when a member is out of datarange!

I love navy Federal, but oftentimes the app leaves a lot to be desired
I was unsure where to complain about this but for the past week the app has been unavailable. Every time I tried to check the app it was unavailable. One time it lasted for almost 2 days. This is insane.
not showing all accounts, nor is it showing accurate information. this app gets worse with every update.
My credit card accounts aren't displaying and I cannot access it to view transactions at all. All my other accounts are visible but no credit card section on the accounts tab
this app used to work fairly well. but for the last 6 months or so it has been impossible to order cashiers checks through. very inconvenient.

Absolutely detrimental update. Can no longer add very useful widget to home screen to show expenditures over 15 days, which was the best feature. Now I have to log in and calculate spending or sift through SMS messages and calculate spending. It may still be usable, but i'm concerned about the fact that this feature removal was green-lit in the first place.

where did my fingerprint ID go, now you want my username and password again which I haven't used in years, cant remember but you want me to sign in before you can tell me! i fill in info and you app says its having a problem and to try again.
I can no longer view my credit card transactions which is very odd because my husband can view his on his phone. I tried to speak with someone but kept getting transferred around and ultimately gave up. I've never had a problem before with the the navy fed app.
2 step authentication takes a long time or doesn't happen at all whether it be phone, push or email. This app needs better developers. No point in contacting bank, they didn't create it.
I quit using Navy Federal after 14 years. I found 100's of data trackers attached to the website and app all which turned into a flood of spam calls. Also the website does not allow the use of individual protections such as VPN's. I will not trust a bank who tracks personal information and my location for basic financial needs. I hope this review does not get buried.
really sick of it not working randomly when you guys decide to do maintenance in the middle of a workday
the bill payments site doesn't always make automatic payments and/or cancel payments. I two bill pays to pitchkettle Farms Community Assoc.Inc. when I personally canceled one because the account number had changed but somehow both bill pay accounts were canceled. Resulting in my payment not being paid on time and now a 30 dollars late fee. thanking you for your great services but was not an easy one to understand.
This application is exceptional; my sole concern pertains to the display of duplicate transactions within the "move money" and "activity" sections, particularly when reviewing incoming transactions. Frequently, upcoming bills are listed twice, which occasionally leads to the misconception that a company is debiting funds on multiple occasions.
recently opened an account. I set up an external bank to transfer funds. I did one transfer a week ago and it worked great. I went to do a transfer today and now it doesn't show the external account for me to select. I went through the process to add the account again, but it shows it's already linked. The UI isn't the best compared to other banking apps I use. Too many round about ways to get to what you need.
this latest update caused my credit card to disappear. i cant even see my credit card balance. and there is no option to see it. Please fix!!
since it updated a few months ago, the app has been having problems daily. it only works once a day and the rest of the time, it has issues. it works fine when it actually works.
