cannot see recent posts in my neighborhood. i could care less what happens 2 towns over, this is so i can keep in touch with neighbors not ads, more ads, and then 13 posts that are from people 50 miles away from my neighborhood.

so I was unblocked today because I broke guidelines which I understand I should be careful what I post but I got blocked again on the same day after being unblocked & my post had no reason to be blocked! they don't want you asking for donations or fundraising but yet others can leave a hateful message or create a fake account pretending to be someone else. at first this app had 5 stars but after being blocked for no justified reason I'm limiting to 1 star! moderators should be unbiased!
Totally stupid app and the fact they give people in the naighbourhood mod powers that use that power to silence people they don't like is really bad, being bullied by mods. I'm now done with this app.

account blocked cause I tried to sell produce I grow to neighbors. No contact or reason given. I posted food I grow for sale and was blocked within a half hour. had the app for years without problems. so much for helping neighbors. app mods still have not sent any communication. it's been over 24 hours.

After I explained to them my side of the issue they offered to fix my account and return me to lead status, but no thanks. The damage was done when they suspended my account with 0 proof and no chance at explaining my side (the truth).
was a good app until my account just got indefinitely suspended. I don't often comment on anyone's post if I do its something helpful. I have a business on this account also, but for some reason one of the admins said I violated the guidelines but they couldn't tell me which one was violated? the last thing I did was make a post asking if a mobile mechanic could help my truck just broke down and I sent some DM messages directly next thing i know im being told my account was gone..
This app has become a toxic environment for people to attack their neighbors instead of offering help they moderate fundraisers but dont moderate comments that are considered rage bate and could create hostile situations among neighbors living in the same neighborhood . I have been attacked multiple times in this app for using it for what its is.

Decide to install 2 years later this week only to find that they've gotten even more aggressive. Change👏your👏insufferable👏email👏policies (or fire the Product owner) When is the class action???
Endless emails which are are intentionally difficult to unsubscribe from. I regret ever using the app. They must split their mail into seventy categories because no matter how many times i unsubscribe i keep getting mail every single day. edit to this review: no, you cannot simply unsubscribe, i have done that several times and continue to get emails, don't mislead people by saying it's a simple fix. there are over fifty notification categories. this isn't Western thinking. it's scammer thought.
This app should be called Boomer Door. Because all this app is good for is Boomers complaining about stupid things and setting up harassment campaigns while the devs refuse to do anything about the harassment.

Nextdoor’s moderation feels inconsistent and overly report-driven. My account was suspended over a post discussing a local issue already reported in the news, despite no threats or direct naming of anyone. It feels like mass reporting matters more than context. The platform should allow respectful discussion about public community concerns instead of silencing users with vague guideline explanations. Very disappointing experience overall.

Alright, app, for neighborhood news, lots of ads, and i mean LOTS, but the sales section is so ad loaded that it's useless/ hard to see what's for sale. Roughly every 1-3 posts and a block of 2-3+ ads, it's useless. I gave up after 3 days and now go to other sources for listings. I understand ads to fund the app, but this is overboard. If you say you need this many ads to support it, you are lying or bad at business. I can't get friends or family to use it because its hard to find posts -ads..
terrible customer service. unable to stop notifications. emailed them for help and instead of helping, they suspended my service. they do not have the ability to remove all notifications, even when you ask them to stop. recommend using a different app than this trash
I'm getting email notifications for every type of post now. Probably a developer feature to remind me of this app and open it up to give them revenue. Nope, reminds me to leave you 1 star instead. thanks

worst app ever!! filled with a few people asking questions but the rest is nothing but people begging for things... If someone does something that is against the community guidelines and it does get reported but most of the time it doesnt get removed. If you turn around and do it, you will get flagged, acct deleted and the excuse is to much spam. People selling animals constantly which again is against the rules! oh well! I tried the app and deleted it because of all the nonsense and drama!!
Hello, I've been blocked and I need help. For no reason.
Watch out!!!! Nextdoor will suspend your account for...get this.... NO REASON WHATSOEVER. No joke. You'll go onto the app and your account is just -"SUSPENDED" . No reason who, what, where, when or why. I literally went on this morning to seek yardwork help, responded to a post regarding said yardwork, went back in to see any more responses and- GONE. Literally, NOTHING remotely possible for a suspension and now I can't look at potential responses. So yeah Nextdoor is a big fat 👎👎👎

so, this app is not what it seems. I see they pick and choose who's post are worthy of leaving up. one person complains about a beautiful prayer and message i post and my account gets suspended someone post a man jacking off and thats ok yea no Bueno this site only allows animalistic like post or boring post of a picture of someone's toilet and no title or explanation what so ever. then you have repeated beggers on there every other day needs money food phones and baby sitters yea be careful
There's a lot wrong with this platform. You can't hide ads, it floods you with notifications and many of the generated questions to start up conversations, especially on news articles, edge on inflammatory. but my biggest issue is actually the way they insist on running the site. the site is full of scammers. it's really easy to scam people when you have access to their full name and the street they live on. it wouldn't be so bad if they did something about the scammers. but they don't.
Unsubscribed since 2025. They are spamming my inbox and are the worst platform ever! They are useless as I have moved out of state, yet they continue to spam with local listings.
keeps turning on notification categories I've turned off. keeps sending me emails despite turning off everything. be warned they will spam you.
I have unsubscribed and marked as spam numerous times and the tons of annoying emails continue to show up and take up space in my email. You will be sorry if you upload this app to your phone!
unforgiving and it doesn't let you edit any correct any wrong profile information. It simply just ban you forever upon any typographical errors entered during account registration.
I have turned off notifications on this app.Probably ten different times and yet.I still get emails tons of spam.Emails on the same things multiple times... The app itself is not helpful unless you are looking for neighborhood, gossip, drama or bathroom remodeling ads.. The app itself works fine, but the content is pointless, repetitive, borderline spam with the emails.. I will probably delete this app after this review.
Impossible to stop them from billing you for ads. We had to call our bank and cancel our card in order to stop them stealing money from us. This of course is a huge inconvenience since all our business spending is on that card account. No customer service. Phone number given to the bank (on our statement) is fake, disconnected. Avoid them at any cost.

Spam - once subscribed to their emails, you're subscribed forever, you can try to unsubscribe as many times as you want, but they'll keep spamming you forever.
Not sure what changed but today I can't filter by nearby or trending. The screen is just blank. I deleted the app and reinstalled it and still got the same results. Not sure what happened but seems to be an issue since your last update. Please fix ****okay, I went to the website that you suggested in your reply. I filled everything out twice and each time it says message not sent try again later. So definitely an issue going on with next door.

It's plagued with ads and most discussion stories showing in my feed were closed minutes before it appeared in my feed, so I can't even respond if I wanted to. I joined to help find the owner of a cat that appeared on my doorstep, but I can't see myself using this app beyond that if this is going to be the experience, and there are better apps for that.
Don't like all the advertising. Also, I think the interface for posting is very frustrating - especially limitations when it comes to posting photos. Posting what's supposed to be a small headshot of my cat results in blown up, highly pixelated full page "fugitive wanted" type of photo.
I cant see the messages from the other people in my DMs?????
