Offer up no longer works. It says it cannot verify my location and won't let me access anything and shuts me out. I tried reinstalling but it says the same thing. So I cannot use it anymore. WE TRIED EVERYTHING. NOTHING HELPS. IT STILL WILL NOT LET ME IN...

I have been trying forever to do the get verify true you and is impossible, and I don't know why cause I am in this offer up website years now.
I redownloaded because I'm looking for patio chairs, but instantly remembered why this app is absolute TRASH. Every other listing is a listing from Amazon or Walmart. And then you also have major local retailers posting on here too.

can't use my old phone number anymore and I don't have an extra phone to make an account

you know I like buying stuff off this app but it is the worst working app I've ever used! the thing is constantly shutting off forcing commercials on me the keyboard doesn't work sometimes it stresses me out so much.
Bad, a lot of scammers on app doing venmo cash app and chime scams use caution know your scams
the app is fkd up for ease of use when trying to upload pictures from Google photos of personal accounts. it's seriously needs alot of attention to making uploading pics into a post.
this app is so dam slow and starts to lag really bad after about 2 minutes of scrolling. to many dam adds. app crashes way to much making you have to restart your search. absolutely garbage.

I can't post anything now. it keeps saying "something went wrong" anytime I try to post anything for sale! I have even uninstalled then reinstalled the app. Very frustrating! Please fix! Using a Samsung Z Fold 6.
1) i got kicked off for no reason whatsoever and was allowed back on only after i pitched an absolute fit to customer service 2) ive been listing regularly on there for over 6 months, maybe closer to a year, and sold ONE item there 3) i went to start yet another listing and apparently they overhauled the software but it obviously aint working for them because it glitched and i lost the pics i took for my listing. ive had enough of offerup. im out.
Too many things listed, possibly some not "legit." Letgo was thousand percent better.
This app freezes shortly after I start using it.
No buyers in over two years. I get no messages for my listings. Please let me know if there are better apps out there to sell locally. Anything similar to letgo? Offerup ruined the online selling experience.

Absolutely abhorrent app. They force you to pay for a listing or it will be shadow banned. Since they went to this model, I haven't sold one thing on this app. I have listing with zero views. Stick to FB MP. this app sucks. This response is ridiculous. They do not respond to customer service chat, nor emails. all garbage.
It started out with a lot of scammers, was okay for a lite bit, slow sales, a lot of people low balling, or straight up ignoring my questions. But most recently I've realized I am unable to post items for sale on this app from my computer. I run everything through my computer nowadays and they have made it impossible to use.
15% Good 85% Bad. This app is garbage now,(5-5-26) with the new updates. The search range is just like CL's, and isn't user friendly. Case in point, you cannot pin point a zip code, like before. The listings are based on "Best Match", unlike what your actually searching for.I like the reviews, but need more flexibility on what to say about an exchange of goods. I would require a photo of the person you are dealing with, but they don't. So when you meet up, you don't know what they look like.
The app is normally fine but the recent inclusion of ads that cannot even be closed, from the internet SCUM Known as TEMU, is inexcusable! One star till you fix this garbage!
Outrageous! I did a trial period w the hopes that subscribing w would be a better deal than promoting my ad. before ending trial period, I archived my ad, and listed sold (elsewhere) didn't expect to be billed beyond trial! I did not get any benefit w the trial at ALL. apparently I misread how to cancel this. it was a mistake. but I shouldn't have to pay for services not used, so I want to DISPUTE THESE FEES. I want this refunded! I benefitted nothing, not one inquiry and for what?
Ads are horrific
Please fix issue : stop sending these type of notifications New items based of search. Also, when trying to tap and see full Pic, did not and just zooms in. I wild like to hit they Pic and see the whole thing, not just a zoomed in portion. PLEASE FIX
apps gotten worse it freezes up or it just shuts off and it will even get stuck and won't let you exit the app fix it guys not happy at all
used the app for years when it got together with letgo .. never had an issue buying nor selling .but last few updates . the App keeps crashing and when putting something for FREE it asks for a payment .to show the Free Item .

ive sold 1 item of MANY on this app. I dont know what the problem is. Letgo was a MUCH better app. But these folks here at Offerup continue to send me emails regarding a $30 Nift gift card. Nift is a scam and there is no actual gift, only a $30 credit towards something that you have to in turn spend money on. Only the weak minded would use such a "gift...smh. Are people that gullible?
Can't receive messages from potential buyers the app worked fine like a year ago now I'm not seeing any messages even though I'm getting notifications for them. App is functional in every other way except this.

Highly invasive app in terms of permissions and way to much spam. (this was my review from 2018) decided to give it another chance in 2026. and it's gotten MUCH worse it gives you fake search alerts that aren't related to your searches it gives you fake alerts with an bage that makes you think you have a new message when it's really just spam "related search results". AND if you stay off the app long enough it straight up sends you fake message alerts telling you that you have new messages
Here real review this app sucks now it use te be simple, now there are adding sub to have quick response to a seller or buyer i dont recommend this for those whos going try this
how do I stop this - Payments of $7.99, $19.99, $39.99 all within the past 3 days...who and how to I contact about all these charges - $70.00 within the past 3 days.
I am have with the worst experience with this app. This app is usable for 10 minutes, before it starts slowing down my tablet and the app itself crashes, and this happens every single time I select the app. I don't know who is in charge of updating or doing whatever to the app, but they obviously failed at their job and that person/people needs to be fired and replaced

This has become an advertisement app for contractors and small businesses, so frustrating.... isn't there a paid version of that???? this app is going down the drain just like Craigslist...sad! I actually love the app and use it a lot, I wish prices would show on the item without having to open them. Also new update took out the price range...why??? Bring back the price range please!!!!!
so many creepy middle age men on here. they pretend to want to buy things but really just want an excuse to talk to any women (regardless if they r half their age or even a minor)
This app now wants you to hand over your personal identification with a third party called TruYou. After well over a decade of use, I will no longer be using this service. Before this I was already using the app less because the notification settings are all or nothing. You can't get notifications about someone messaging you unless you also get their spam notifications. This app has become trash.
