This App is one of the Most Mocking app When it comes to sharing. Whem followimg guideline it has a AI Overseeing your listing and it will thorw a Ban at the most tiny of things. Also to note they domt update you on anything amd they have a horrid Help section that can not tab anything and they domt get back to you till they feel like it suits them. Sorry but for something i used to Use in 2020 To survive you fallen a Heavy Amount.

You should be ashamed of yourselves. 30 second ad on every attempt to request an item, making it so the item is already gone by the time the ad is finished. Thank you for false hope.

They earn millions a year. Which I don't begrudge them. But when they changed the app to make it more more difficult to navigate recently! And now 6 weeks later they're updating again? Also if you are not paying to use the app, you are penalised twice you don't see the post for 15 mins and you have to spend upto 30secs eac
I think the ads are kind of ridiculous, given olio is paid for every collection which is done by free volunteers, I can't understand why they need you to view a 1 minute ad often with forced gameplay sections. I joined olio the year it was founded and have been an ambassador and FWH since, barely requesting anything and I'm already sick of it since they started. Bearing in mind some users upload every item individually it's takes too long to request an amount worth driving for

These are not genuine kind hearted people but self pretence and egotistical people that are looking for a false glorified life. Very disappointing group and the aim of the creators is to eventually make money.
We work hard to do food rescue yet, Olio let the food hero scheme run on auto pilot, FCFS. Slots are difficult to get, some have 4 perm slots EVERY week and those perm slot owners even compete in the squad chat to grab the released slots. OLD timer even bully the new Food heroes!!
NOT FREE, BULLYING. WORST APP EVER full of bullies, ban you for something that is not even connected to your account, worse app ever, they say they want to save food waste but tells you off when you were given one day out of date food. don't download this app,waste of time. it's not free you have to watch ads if u want to request anything and the time you want the ad the item you wanted is gone.
wont be using anymore as I dont want to sell my data to 211 companies, what a low move on their part not making a reject all cookies button , shame on you!

Great idea but poorly excuted by the team. Super concerned abt the subscription..Food rescue using the food wastage reduction idea, but couldn't be bothered about feedback from volunteers. Simply use SOP replies to brush you off. Simply NATO, no action talk only...
run by bullies, ask a question about collections then get shot down in flames,food collected 3 days after bb dates then offered to people on Facebook apparently I had more than 1 account WHICH I HAVEN'T so got banned ,also a charity collection that I never saw go to charity
Time for an edit . One star for a worthy cause . But the App keeps failing. A blank screen is common. lf it does open scrolling doesn't always work ,listings don't appear and request messages won't send. Clearing caches, reloading the app ,standing on my head whistling Dixie eyc , just doesn't work. Great idea but sadly it's becone too much bother.

Hi, I am an app analyst from the UK. This app is missing 2 simple things: Dark Mode and Message Deletion. Why are you forcing people to keep messages? Very curious to the reason why message deletion isnt implemented into the app? Please input a dark mode for people with bad eye sight also white isnt nice for elderly people. 17/04/2026
Overall good concept, but paid Olio+ subscribers get same glitches as free users despite claims. Pushes multiple ads for listings (should be 1), notifications lag 1-2hrs, listings vanish. Support? Just other Olio users-no accountability or efficient service. Seriously needs fixing or the feature removed.
