The latest update no longer works on older Android 10 phones. As a government app, this is not fair to the thousands of older or poorer Australians who have older but usable phones. like pensioners.

stop ging me up
logged me out of the app. I forgot my password and couldn't get back in so it told me to use my opal card but never worked. Even when i tried resetting my password nothing worked. Then I lost my opal card. To get back into the app it kept telling me to use my opal card that I lost? LIKE HELLO. poorly designed, there needs to be a better way. After losing my opal card I had no way to block it or transfer money. Even worse, it's linked to my debit card. kept going in circles, no improvement at all
it didn't work as expected for tapping on and off
An absolute piece of garbage SESSION EXPIRED error within 20 minutes and need to reload card detail. Raised with Transport NSW 6 months ago but they are as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike unable to do anything but paste in canned responses
really unclear and annoying
the app does exactly what it needs to do, and a very good job at that, but please for the love of Christ let me disable the notifications. I don't need a screen popping up every time I open the app "reminding" me to enable notifications. I want to be able to use tracking and location features without my phone buzzing bleeping and blooping at me every 5 minutes. EDIT: the reply from opal in no way addresses my issue. remove the popup asking me to enable notifications.

the Opal system stopped working with my Revolut account. reported problem to thier customer service and have had zero response.

14/10/2025 Keeps getting worse. Now with session expiry and wiping card details. More nagging. 03/10/2025 No change. Location pest for trips in the future. Also no option to share trip details. 03/04/2025 No change. Still asks for location. 15/03/2024 No change. Still asks for location. 27/11/23 No change. Still asks for location. 6/10/22 Repeatedly asks for my current location when planning trips days ahead. Why does it ask every time I want to look at a trip. I'm not in those locations now.

Was a fantastic app, unfortunately it no longer works with my Samsung Note 9, which is sad cause my phone still works perfectly😪😪😪 These changes directly impact the customers who desperately need these services and consequently are least able to afford to stay technologically current and buy the latest smartphone every 5yrs.....pensioners and low-income earners
Suddenly without any notification at all the App is nolonger compatible with my phone!! Tried to update via Google store and it can't be done. So your expecting me to by a new phone just to use your App disgusting service.
Creators updated app, no longer compatible with phone. Used app to top up daughter's opal card, now I am locked out from it.

The app is insisting that I install the latest update with pop-up alert that loads just after the main screen loads (with no way to close the alert, so that I can get back to the main screen). When I go to update the app the play store advises that the app is now incompatible with my device OS (Android 10). This is ridiculous, given it is basically just an electronic timetable, and was working last week. Did the developers even test the app on the previous OS, or just assume?
The app logged me out today for no reason. I tried many ways to log in and top up but unsuccessful. What a beautiful way to trouble people!

Doesn't show the bus in real time. Bus is showing late in Trip view but on time in this app. It took a while to update in real time...
