Looks like a scam. On first run, nothing happens unless you create an account. No guest or demo mode = uninstalled.

DO NOT buy this subscription. The product fails to show fully downloaded maps in airplane mode, which I use to simulate being miles from any 3G signal. That's dangerous. I asked Google to refund my subscription about two hours after buying it, and they DECLINED.

Awful - paid to use it but it just crashes all the time and some of the maps I paid for won't download
I've had nothing but issues with this app. My Maps won't load at all, just says 'permission denied' even though my subscription is paid. OS Maps no good unless you're in strong 4G, and the location is way off - like 10 miles away, where I was yesterday (which can't be the phone as it has my location accurately on Google maps and other GPS apps). Emailed about it and was asked to contact them through the app - which I did, the settings take you to email...
Hopeless. Something is wrong: it won't let you log in! I am now deleting it for the sixth time! I give it a go every few months to see if it has been fixed. Works well on iPhone.

So am I to assume that this app is now dead, and the money I have spent on offline maps is lost for ever? It used to be very good, but is now completely unusable, even with the "trick" of removing the external storage and installing maps on built-in memory. It can't be that hard to fix, but I'm guessing that all dev work has stopped on this. Such a shame, not just because of the money I've wasted, but it was excellent, with the web version as well for planning routes.

I have had this app for 10 months and until last weekend loved it!! We travelled an hour to hike but couldn't as the app wouldn't work. Since then I have repeatedly emailed for help but have received no help at all..It is still not working and no one communicates with me. I would like this rectified or a refund!!
Terrible. This app no longer works at all on my mobile phone. I take my phone on walks and mountain bike rides and just want to read a standard OS map while out. It simply crashes and won't even open at all. It works on my tablet but only in portrait mode. It used to work a year or so ago, although was temperamental so I switched to a different app (viewranger) when necessary. I have spent around £100 on various 'lifetime' OS Maps and they are not interested in refunding me. Utterly disgraceful.
This was a great app until the last update then it is absolutely useless. Freezes constantly, kicks you out, won't find any routes even we'll known ones, lost all my previously saved routes and I pay for the full pro version. I'll be cancelling the subscription if it cannot be fixed.

Been using this app for a while with no issues, now lost my saved routes and can't add any routes. My GPS location icon rapidly turning on and off. Please fix.
This app was great, now rubbish since recent updates. No user guide and doesn't record your route. I emailed them, they replied 20th June to say an update would be out shortly to rectify the issues. No update as yet 27th July. I will not be renewing my subscription.
Works for a while, packs in. Terrible customer service. They ignore you, don't answer questions. Don't buy!

Latest update is a disaster. The app no longer works! Tried contacting the software providers but no response yet. The user guide has been deleted and the app does not record routes any more. This used to be a very good app but they keep tinkering with it and making it worse.
Does not record Route correctly (does as crow fly's rather than actual route) so don't use anymore! Please fix issue
Latest update has ruined my maps and saved routes, what's actually going on with this? Why change it??It used to be excellent! I've used it now for years,and the last couple there has been problem after problem. If you don't fix it im out for good. (Still haven't fixed although you say you have)
Maps not showing, despite downloading them on to phone. Just a blank screen with the red lines of old routes overlaid. Pointless.
Crashes constantly, downloaded to Android yet developers tell me to contact Apple. States unlimited maps in Pro, bought Pro and it doesn't even have a map of where I live in the Isle of Man

Couldn't really work it out.
This was an excellent app and no complaints about using it. I paid out for maps of my area and a couple of places we went on holiday. Went to add to that and was told you can't anymore and have to pay annually. I would rather own my maps so will buy os paper maps with digital downloads from now on
Just created an account and was about to buy the yearly subscription. However, having read the reviews, the company needs to address customer service before I'm prepared to support them with custom.
Worked great on my apple iphone, very poor to useless on my new android phone.
Very limited app and not worth the fee. Works fine when you have strong signal but it will not work unless you do. I downloaded the Highlands map and when I was off grid with no signal it was just a blank white map, very annoying and not worth the £19.99 fee. I guess it's okay as a back up but if you're somewhere with poor signal - like national parks ie Lakes, Highlands, Peak District etc I'd avoid.

Like many others I bought individual maps that I can no longer access. Customer service just sends automated responses. Total rip off. Avoid.

Samsung S20: App was working fine to the end of March. Now it has suddenly stopped tracking my movement. I've discovered that opening Google Maps causes the Outdoor App to update the location but it still refuses to track from there. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no luck. Have emailed support and will update this review.
Changed overnight .Been using a couple of years and now gone to very poor map quality. Not longer standard OS quality maps - that I paid over £20 for with different areas. Please can I have the old style maps I bought?
Simply not recommended. Software is glitchy with way marks suddenly appearing and unable to edit and rectify. A 9 mile route suddenly becomes 28!!

I dont want a subscription service. I just want to buy and use maps like I could before the upgrade. Should be so simple yet the app won't let you buy a map, it only lets you subscribe.
Before the last update this app was brilliant map was always there easy to read and follow now it's slow to load you can't see the footpaths the map breaks up I've wasted money buying maps which are now useless Can't buy maps have to pay a yearly sub. Best advice I have is buy something else
It can't even locate me , it still thinks I'm at home which doesn't fill me with confidence to use it. I'll be asking for a refund I think.
Version 5.07 now installed, does seem to be working, I will see how it goes for a few weeks. The customer service would probably be perceived more positively if the advice was a touch more helpful than upgrade to 5.01, the latest version is 5.07. I still have no intention of paying the annual subscription, will just use this app for the maps I bought before the upgrade disaster.
worked well on iPhone, but completely hopeless since switch to android. multiple communications with their customer service team, initially they were responsive but failed to resolve, and now radio silence since I requested a refund! complete waste of £19.99. resisted giving a poor review, but now feel customers should be aware of their appalling customer service.
Cannot navigate OS map. It's self centralising all the time. So unable to look at OS map.
Unable to get my previously paid for and installed My Maps to display or download since recent major update despite having implemented a fresh instal. Hopefully a fix will be forthcoming . . . Soon!
