Found out the app was charging me me every month. Other than being a scam, it was a pretty good camera.
The app takes forever to load and glitches constantly. I have to close & restart the app between 3 - 20 times to get the camera to load and sleep data to display. It doesn't allow me to connect the camera to Google Home, or view from a computer. And the never ending ads are so obnoxious. The dream sock is nice, but it's the camera that is especially annoying. Edit: Originally this was a 2 star review, but I changed it to one star, because this thing NEVER connects when I need it most.

Also, motion notifications seem to not be working. My baby was able to do a 180 in his crib with no notification kinda wild. This item is too expensive to have all these issues.
used to work great bow the app basically just freezes,force closes, or won't load the videos on every device I have. Customer service is absolutely useless and just keeps telling me to repeat every step I have already been advised to do. No answers and no help.
Same issues mentioned in other reviews: false alarms up to 10 times a night because it’s impossible to keep the baby just a few steps from the base, and the app needs reconnecting constantly - I have to restart it countless times a day. Most people only discover these comments after purchasing the product and needing an app...
I have had a lot of issues where the video doesn't load, or only loads in the mini view but then won't load in full screen. It's quite unreliable.

This app has gotten progressively worse with each update. In its current form it's basically useless. Crashes constantly and it takes multiple tries to connect. switching back and forth to full screen always breaks the connection and is difficult to reconnect.
this app is great at monitoring him but the camera function is poor. constant drops, and terrible quality. not great for an application to monitor my BABY. honestly if I knew how terrible the camera was I would of just gotten the sock.
Camera constantly disconnects and support refuses to accept maybe their hardware sucks.
I spent 3 hours troubleshooting dropped connection. I reset the base station wifi, re-entered the wifi info multiple times, powercycled both routers, powercycled the base station, reset & reprogrammed my router, uninstalled & reinstalled the app, restarted my phone, nothing. Turns out an app update broke it - one I can't even install, leaving me with a $400 useless sock. NOTIFY USERS when you update your app and it will stop working. Your USERS are sleep-deprived PARENTS of babies.
Having an awful time with the app - logs me out of my account -so no visible monitoring is occurring - multiple times a day, sometimes in the middle of monitoring. I have to go through a loop restarting the base, my phone and forcing alerts by unplugging the base until it randomly reconnects. The system is too expensive to be so unreliable.

This app is terrible. Half the time it doesn't work. I'm constantly having to restart it. It's beyond irritating!
Horrible app, can't have it on both parents phone at the same time. Constantly alerts to connection issues and sock placement but cant silence the alerts unless one of you closed the app out fully. I'm unplugging it constantly but it doesn't ever turn off.
Every time I Log in to view the camera. It just sits and loads but never shows the feed. Doesn't work on my wife iphone either.
The Owlet sock itself is great and given my wife and I a ton of piece of mind. However, the camera/app are completely unreliable and are, frankly, terrible. The camera will randomly go out while viewing in the app or just not pull up at all. Most of the time the app doesn't want to pull up anything you're trying to do. My daughter is 9 month old at the time of this review and the app is getting worse as she's getting older. Owlet needs to get on this and fix what's a borderline useless app.
Connectivity is abysmal, the sock, even with perfect placement, keeps saying disconnected multiple times per use. I never had this kind of issue with the old owlet/owlet care app. I used to sing it's praises, I'll no longer be suggesting this to people, I'll be steering them to the eufy instead. So sad we wasted money on this.
The Owlet is an awesome product but only if the app can reliably connect to our phones, which it does not. It will connect and freeze or drop without warning. My wife and I both experience the same issues across various android and apple devices (i.e., iPhone and iPad). It is extremely frustrating to have paid hundreds of dollars for a great product that fails because of an unreliable app.

app is really bad at the moment, camera feed fails to load and when it does and you switch to full screen it fails again. Feed pauses during the night or sound stops coming through.
Between the terrible interface and inability of the camera to be connected or reconnected without hard reseting everything it is not worth it
Constantly have to force close the app in order to get the camera video to load. For a program that's supposed to allow me to quickly see what's going on in a room, taking 45 seconds to see if the video feed is going to start this time is unacceptable.
The video and sound stop working often in the middle of the night. Would not get this system or reccomend it.

cannot get my owlet sock to connect no matter how many arbitrary workarounds I find online. I've tried setting up new networks with less secure wifi settings, different channels, 2.4ghz only, etc. this is the worst networking experience I've ever witnessed for a product.
poorly executed product with a terrible app. unless you never leave the room the base station is located, the extremely short range due to using BLE means constant drop out alarms waking up whoever is within earshot of the base station. the app needs multiple restarts before it will successfully connect to the base station and turn off the alarm - truly infuriating in the middle of the night. The idea is great but ditch the BLE for sub-GHz and bin this dumpster fire of an app please!
Camera is constantly loading and thus not working so basically can't see my baby when I need to. Disappointing given how expensive this is.
App is slow, buggy, and hard to even start sometimes. my wife has the same app on iPhone, same story. When you have camera to monitor your child, you would like it to work...
Don’t. Buy the Owlet product
Owlet recently added a "noise filter" to the dream sight, but didn't seem to even test it, because if a white noise machine is used in the same room as the baby (which is a very common use case), any cries from your baby will also be filtered out and you will hear nothing from the live audio feed even at max volume. The other shocker is that they don't give the option to choose whether you want the noise filter on or off, since it's now on by default permanently.
video is unreliable- which the whole point of the app. I have to keep restarting the app and it definitely doesn't work in landscape mode anymore. are you not making updates to this? it's getting worse!!!
the sock is great, look elsewhere for video monitors. slow and laggy. when you have a video monitor that doesn't work when you need it, why bother having it...? To Owlet - figure it out... I don't need fancy video enabled AI sleep insights, I need a video that shows my child reliability, without blank screens, frozen screens, poor video quality, or a 10 second delay. This was not always the case.. Owlet had been one of my favorite baby products, but the offering is getting worse, not better.
It was good until it all of a sudden went bad. I can't maximize video so I'm stuck wondering if my baby is breathing or not. The sock continually disconnects. For some reason I don't get notifications on my phone. It was great like 2 years ago. Now it's not worth your money. I've updated the app, cleared the cache, made sure it's on great WiFi, nothing...

Used to work okay, but now takes forever to load the cameras, often requiring force closing and restarting the app (as others have noted here). Very unreliable.

This app is trash. It only works half the time, which is unacceptable for its purpose. Do not get this camera as your main monitor and buy a non wifi monitor instead.

Why does the app keep beeping when the alert is cleared using the base or another phone? You all can send a push notification to start the alert but not to end it??? Having to find my phone to shut it up before it wakes the baby up is infuriating in the middle of the night.

400$s for a camera app that freezes. The sock at least helps when we need it. can't even be used as a baby monitor. Buy a blink. At least it works. If I hadn't went past the return window after my child was born I would have returned. DO NOT BUY!
if I hadn't already sunk the money into their expensive cameras, I would go somewhere else. The cameras and phone are on strong wifi and fast internet. Every other device in this house works well. My phone is brand new. The problem is just this app. The camera feed in this app takes forever to load. Once it has loaded and you go full screen, it shows a blank screen for quite some time.
The sock constantly disconnects/connection lost. Bare in mind that the base station of the sock is 3-4m alway and the sock is fully charged! The same happens even if both the station and sock are in the same room! The health readings are good. Overall: I'm disappointed! I expected more for this price!
horrible app, will send you a notification that the sock base is disconnected from wifi but not let you signed the base. waste of subscription. can't believe that money is spent on this
I suppose the app is fine but the product itself sucks. I keep getting a sock placement alert even though my kid barely moved, and when that happens, it's an annoying alarm since it's not reading the baby's vitals anymore. Pretty upset I wasted money on this product.
