Update, without any warning, now with invasive AI. Payback has lost the plot, no one wants more apps with more data-hungry AI. Truly horrible app riddled with ads, including video ads that play automatically and use up a lot of data without the possibility to disable them. Navigation is a mess and it references Apple-exclusive features on an Android phone. Now with a nagging splash screen ad.

App funktioniert plötzlich nicht mehr auf meinem nothing phone 3a pro wegen angeblicher Sicherheits-Probleme. alle Einstellungen sind Standard, kein Rooting. Umweg über Webseite geht auch nicht, da dort kein barcode mehr angezeigt wird, nur ein Hinweis auf die fehlerhafte App. Werde wohl künftig kein Payback mehr nutzen.
Einloggen mit Kundennummer, wir sind doch nicht mehr in 1990, niemand weiß seine sinnlose Nummer, warum nicht mit E-Mail wie bei jedem anderen modernen Dienst. Keiner arbeitet hier kontinuierlich an irgendwas, sonst wäre die App nicht in solche einem Zustand. Anscheinend werden Coupons auch komplett Zufall verteilt, was auch lächerlich ist.

was für ein Murks. wenn ich mich auf meinem PC einloggen will dann bekomme ich eine zwei Faktor Abfrage und die App auf meinem Smartphone meldet sich. wenn ich dann dort auf akzeptieren, das heißt auf 'ja' klicke, dann bekomme ich trotzdem keinen Login auf meinem Desktop freigeschaltet. bei anderen Apps wie zum Beispiel der bestsign App von der postbank funktioniert so etwas problemlos.

Punkte werden zu oft nicht gutgeschrieben, insbesondere bei hochwertigen Käufen. So sind mir einige tausend Punkte verlorengegangen. Nervende Werbung per Post, obwohl gleiche Angebote in der App verfügbar. Alles nur bunter Quatsch mit Mehrwert nur für die teilnehmenden Unternehmen und Payback selber.
keine Suchfunktion für die Shops, man muss sich durch eine unvollständige Liste quälen. keine Ahnung, wer sich das ausgedacht hat.

Zahlung wird immer abgebrochen. Zahlungsmittel alle verifiziert und mehr als genug Geld drauf ! Absolut unbrauchbar
Paybackseite sagt ich sei warum auch immer 24h gespert. Man kann kein Passwort anfordern und die blöde KI Hotline ist völlig nutzlos. Zugang seit Wochen gesperrt und man bekommt kein neues Passwort, weil 24h gesperrt..., und erreicht niemanden. Wie so ein Unternehmen überhaupt exisiteren und kann bei der IT und dem null Service - amazing.
I understand redemptio voucher arrives within one day, but it seems the service level has been set extremely low. For something like digital -which should ideally be an automated process-it appears that its being issued manually. A user spends an entire year collecting points to make a meaningful redemption, and then has to wait an additional day just to receive a digital voucher while its 2025 and such things can be already automated ! . That’s disappointing
terrible app. Tried to register, gave an error. Finally went through the registration, told me I was already registered. Tried to login, couldn't log me in. Kept giving me an error without explanation. Uninstalled app. You can keep your points.
I tried calling multiple times but employees refused to speak to me because my German wasn't good enough, and they weren't willing to take some extra time so I could translate with an app while we spoke. So I then asked my German-speaking mother to call on my behalf, but the employee hung up on her as well because the situation was "too complicated".
I am very disappointed by the app. I cannot reconnect to my account, as it has this 2 steps security verification. Of course, it will be secured, if I even myself cannot connect. I have also had a call with them and I need to send by post (in 2025) my ID with the new address. And they said that I also need to fill in a form, which they forgot to attach, sent from a non-reply address. Should I call them again? It is very stressful.

Diese App ist ein einziges digitales Chaos. Die Verknüpfung mit DM funktioniert trotz richtiger Anmeldung und Zwei-Schritt-Verifizierung nicht. Keine klare Rückmeldung, keine Bestätigung, nichts. Abläufe sind kryptisch, Bons werden im Hintergrund nachgetragen. Und das Beste: Will man Punkte einlösen, muss man plötzlich den PC benutzen - über Android ist es unmöglich. Wer so etwas entwirft, hat vom echten Leben keine Ahnung. Für den Alltag völlig unbrauchbar.
at first I really used to like it but since 3 months I guess I couldn't get any new games anymore and I uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and it didn't get solved and I called the customer service they simply told me to contact the customer service in the play area which basically a FAQ and a boot and the problem until now is not solved
Alles war gut, bis ich versuchte, Geschenke mit den Punkten einzulösen. Plötzlich gab es fast den ganzen Tag Probleme mit der App, und dann funktionierte der Code, den Sie mir gegeben haben, auf der angegebenen Website nicht. Es fühlt sich an wie eine Aneinanderreihung vieler Zufälle, sobald ich versuche, meine Prämien einzulösen. Sie haben heute einen Kunden verloren, ich werde jetzt definitiv zur REWE-Punktekarte wechseln.
Unable to login. I changed the phone and tried loging in but I can't. It is showing me invalid login details. I changed the password multiple times already and even talked to customer service. Still unable to loging in. Worst part is that there is only phone number for customer care. For non German people it is kinda tough to explain the problem. I speak little and somehow managed to tell but still unable to log in. App is not even showing proper error. Just a common fallback message.

Unglaubch dreist. Keine Konto Löschung in der App möglich. Abbestellen von Werbepost wird IGNORIERT. Daten werden nicht gelöscht.
Very slow buggy German app. I tried multiple times in Edeka (Cashier and self Kasse), but cannot use my collected points... SUCKS! Should give this a 0 star rating.

Doesn't have English language in the app
Aus dem Labyrinth des Minotaurus findet man schneller heraus als aus dieser App. Die Menüführung ist ein echtes Rätsel. Und was ist mit dem Logo passiert? Dieses blaue Tröpfchen sieht so aus, als hätte es ein Glas Wein zu viel getrunken und würde jetzt leicht schwanken. Zwei Sterne gibt es nur für die Punkte, aber das Design braucht dringend einen starken Kaffee
App ist langsam (ladet zu viel, zu viel animationen). UI nicht optimal (auto carousels, unnötige hängende elementen die bildschirmflächen blockieren), app funktioniert nicht (aktivierung von Douglass sagt kein Internet, obwohl das falsch ist), Fehlerbearbeitung als Konzept ist nicht bekannt, usw. Insgesamt sehr unzuverlässige app. Wenn man redet über 0.5-5% payback, ALLES muss reibungsfrei funktionieren, sonst (wenn mann noch mit app kampfen muss) es lohnt sich nicht!
App funktioniert meistens nicht beim online shopping (keine Punkte). Im Laden ist es okay.

Ich wollte wie gewohnt mit Payback bezahlen. An der Kasse verlangte die App jedoch statt der üblichen biometrischen Bestätigung zusätzlich die PIN und danach einen PIN-Reset mit Passwort, das ich nicht mehr wusste, da ich es nur einmal bei der Kontoerstellung genutzt hatte. Auf einem anderen Smartphone trat dasselbe Problem auf. Die Klärung dauerte lange, der Einkauf staute sich, sodass ich mit Bankkarte zahlen musste. Zudem verlor ich zwei aktivierte Coupons... Sehr unangenehm und enttäuschend.
Nicht mehr möglich mehrere Geschäfte unter Coupons auszuwählen oder nach Geschäften zu suchen. Es nervt immer einzeln nach unterschiedlichen Coupons zu scrollen, da man beim Wechsel erneut alles von oben scrollen muss. Vor der Umstellung konnte man mehrere coupons markieren und aktivieren und per Texteingabe suchen.
Extremely useless / extremely frustrating, everytime I buy something they come up with excuse not to give the points. Have been using it for a long time though, never really was able to use the points as they either expire or are not given. You would need to send like 2+ emails just to get info that it wasn't possible to allocate the points because... every time a new reason. Oh actually cannot use email, you have to open the website form, fill it all over again with a lot of info.
Cant change language, its available on German and there is no option that I can do translation
