Not a good app. Not user friendly.
It basically never works, never even close to the mountain in range and it's awful with tracking where you are especially on mountains where you need it
useless and inaccurate
completely useless. it never matches either the information from the compass or the correct zoom on the camera.
terrible makes up its own landscape at time
kept giving me errors and didnt let me refund
dont like for the price i paid but cant get refund
clearly not working! I sit in front of the Annapurna range in Nepal, and all it shows me is flat land, no single peak in sight (on the app) 😅
Simply wrong. have tried everything and it is showing peaks in the wrong location. not even close
will not calibrate at all
The ap is unfortunately difficult to use, and rarely accurate. I tried everything, including talking to IT to get better results, to no avail. for context, I'm a geospatial analyst and know how to use GIS software, amongst other applications, and this app is not the time invested into trying it out.
not working, showing me mtns a couple hundred miles away
On my Samsung S21 Ultra, its a fail. I bought this app, over 1 year ago, and still same fail. A big disapointing... I though an update will be enough but even the last update, its a totally fail...
It does get a local read on the surrounding mountain skyline, but I found it so inconsistent with the overlay, the only way I could get consistent information was by already knowing what I was looking at so I could manually force the overlay to be in the correct spot. Defeats the whole purpose if you want to use this in new places. Disappointed in how touchy and inconsistent the identification was. Bummed I don't qualify for a refund after messing around with it for only 30 minutes or so.
Database is so-so and it's never easy to use. I rarely find what i'm looking for. Currently looking at the Collegiates (Sawatch range) and cant get the name on a relatively prominent 13er.
The mountain skyline it shows is so poorly drawn and so lacking in detail that it's barely worth bothering with this app at all. It doesn't come close to lining up map and mountains, off by about 90 degrees even after numerous calibration procedures. Waste $6.00
UI doesn't work on my pixel 9. Half is outside my screen I cannot use it.
not sure this is a device issue or app specific issue but the calibration is terrible on the Samsung Z flip 5. it's basically not even worth using because the overlay of the mountains don't even come close to matching. Appalachian and the Rockies... same issues.
This app used to be easy to use. For the last couple of months, when I turn my phone to landscape to take a picture, all of the peaks' names stack up on each other, which means I can't read one peak. I have changed the orientation mode like it suggests, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Nothing changed. Any suggestions of what else I need to do?
it didn't do the job for me. the drawn contours overlaying the video do not at all line up, so I really have no idea what is what. I have a general idea but I already had a general idea without the app.
