This app never works to schedule grooming appts. Really frustrating.
At first the app ran smoothly. Now the only thing that it is good for is frustrating the person using it. I logged into Petco using the app today to purchase dry and canned cat food for pickup. As soon as I selected the cat icon I was asked how I was going to receive it..either pick up or delivery. I selected pick up...nothing showed up. Not a single brand of cat food was made available to purchase. I uninstalled and reinstalled hoping that would help. NOPE it just doesn't work at all.
When you try yo book a grooming appointment the app takes you to a personal information screen. You fill that out then it takes you back to the request services screen. There you click on Grooming again, it again takes you to the personal information page that did not retain the info from your last entry. It keeps going around and around getting nowhere. They lost two large grooms, and possibly more. High values customers.
how impossible do y'all plan to make it for an individual to use your app? curious parties are wondering and employees who rely on booked services generating income would greatly appreciate customers being able to set up appointments on the application. UTTERLY RIDICULOUS that I am SLAMMING my finger into my screen to press the "schedule appointment" button and nothing at all happens. cleared cache. uninstalled and re-installed. phone fully up to date. RIDDLE ME THAT BATDOG?!?!
You will spend more time trying to log in then actually using the app. I have a pixel 9pro and have to log in each and every time I need to use this atrocious app. I have promised myself to use my cancel my membership, use remaining credits, delete the app and buy from another pet shop supply store!!!!

Apr 2026 Update: the app finally decided to load the "vital care premier" page, and allowed me to turn off "auto renew" OH SO CONVENIENTLY right after the next "yearly cycle", so im STILL paying $10 a month for the next 11 months till 2027. I contacted customer service, and they are not able to do anything...
Crashes and sucks! Thanks for nothing, Petco! *** Asked me for an update. "Most rewarding pet program" my azz. Used to be $5 off for every $100 spent, now it's $1 off for every $100 spent. How is that rewarding? Screw you, and your buggy app!

It's useful when it works but there are so so many times it doesn't. Super buggy and annoying. Edit: from 2 to 1 star. Even more bugs than before. I can't sign in because of their internal server errors, no images are loading any time I use the app, and their search function really sucks. It's such a pain to use the app that I just buy from somewhere else instead.
Love the website hate the app. Half the time I can't get it to open and have to use the website, the other half it crashes.

After browsing and consistently not having any product available, like regular cat and dog food, on any of the stores, obviously you keep browsing but you get locked for browsing and too many clicks because browsing is a suspicious activity. Going to Petsmart from now on! This app is why you are going bankrupt
Terrible. the app has been "under maintenance" for months now. can't use the app at all and attempting to use the website while at the register causes severe slow downs and then it crashes and doesn't work anyway. then the cashier has to call support to get my points loaded.. recently the app had a large update. figured I would try again and still it say Ru oh server authentication failed and still I can not log in. definitely going back to petsmart. how can you have this problem...
horrible, you can't see any thing you're searching for. absolutely the worst app ever
vital care is a SCAM. especially since they tell you you can cancel anytimr but then lock you into a year contract with no a tual way to cancel. then change the benifits you were supposed to get automatically into benefits you o. get if you "earn" them. making these changes without really notifying the customers, grandfathering their benefits, nor allowing them to cancel out of the subscription when you don't agree with the changes they made to take away the benefits you originally agreed to.

this app has so many issues, it is not very user friendly. at this point the app doesn't work at all anymore. I can't login or make vet appointments.

its so stupid and frustrating to use this app.
definitely need someone that knows how to build app. searching is hit or miss for the right item to come up. signing in is such a project too
Don't sign up for the plan/read the fine print and don't trust the employees. The store employee said it was difficult to cancel the subscription and that it requires a call or email to support, but that it could (and should) be done immediately, thus not requiring the year commitment to a monthly subscription. Support made it clear that's a lie and the monthly subscription must be kept for one year, no early exit. The card used cannot be removed during the year, or switched with another card.
same issues plague the app. inability to log into your account, which directs you to the website, which then launches the app to complete the circle. Images for products broken and unable to process online purchase, which employees recommend to do.
better off using the website. the app is unreliable
Offering Product With No Intent To Fulfill. Been trying feverishly, for MONTHS, to buy the 125 gallon fish tank & canopy that's been advertised on sale repetitively for $500. The managers of each store I visited advised I have to buy it online and they don't stock it in-store. Online says it's only available in-store and can't be shipped. No stores in NC or VA have the product in stock. Until now I've been a sporadic customer,but they were about to gain me as a huge buyer. NOT ANYMORE!!

Try to order but the items for sale will not load , search toys ? no toys pop up ! can't purchase from their app . losing business

if it didn't have a bug, the app would work well. I can't pull up grooming to set up an appointment and it won't let me pull up vital care, both spin in circles
