Misleading. I asked for a refund after an accidental purchase. The developer stated "we're unable to issue a refund...the final decision also sits with Google Play, and unfortunately they have already declined the request'. The companies response gives the impression that developers have no ability at all to issue refunds once Google has declined an automatic request. However developers can process refunds for Google Play Purchases. Came across as a deliberate way to shut down the request.
Unusable. The app freeze on the registration screen....

really like the concept however the app is unusable. transactions don't load through open banking. I'd say pie need to look into how their development team is being run as these bugs shouldn't make their way into production
app is a headache to use, glitches, scroll wheel for dates dont want to pop up and or sometimes even slide.

I did however find another app called untied uk tax, this has all the functions I've been looking for, no promotion but would recommend this to everyone! Check them out!
Loaded app with high expectations. Unfortunately I can't enter anything with the 'Quick Add' feature. I'm guessing the app requires you to sign up to one of their paid services before the app becomes functional? It would help if the app gave you a message, if this is the case!

They even state that HMRC are doing away with sending self assessments on their websites and you have to go with pie to sent them after 2025. If so HRMC serious need to assess this app themselves beforehand.
App is not compatible with HMRC official software. Can only be used as a guide
I read the reviews, I still installed it, it crashed while taking my initial information. Such a shame, but it crashed while asking if I wanted to use the app for day-to-day tax management or one-time self-assessment tax filings. I hope you guys get it sorted properly. For self-employed people, we can't risk spending our admin time on an app that will potentially crash a lot and I was already anticipating having to move my data from your app to another one before I'd even got started!
Want to choose self employed and app put employed ask for a response no answer so service is over rated no one responded. And you want to charge monthly a fee
Confusing overall. Weird expense categories. Adding seven more loading indicators does not help.
They wanted to much information. Name address, dob. Phone number. You don't need that information. Do doubt info will be sold on.
Buggy, uninstalled because lots of app crashes, does not allow to save after entering 4 figure student loan amount. Pretty looking app that is buggy.
You are asking for way too much personal data from the word GO !! Personally , sounds like Dodgy Dave here. Why do developers need to ask for people's personal data goes beyond me , its OK if its a genuine reason for buying the app subscription , but asking straight away , seems very wrong , IMHO !! My question is , Why do you need it ?? I think also, that personal data from sites such like Playstore , requires a re-think. As the Data Protection Act , seems as it comes some where here
I was looking forward to trying this app to complete my self assessment tax return, but immediately lost faith in it when it told me my postcode was not valid. On top of that, I couldn't enter my full address, and when I tried to edit the address it entered the details backwards! Shame, as others give it good reviews, but I don't think I could trust it with something as important as my tax return.
Asking for too much personal information to use this app
Signup process fails. If you try again, it tells you your account already exists - but if you try to log in with the details you entered, it says your account doesn't exist. Pointless. Edit: Since leaving this review, someone called Richard who works at Pie has emailed and even called me multiple times to try to get me to take the review down. It will remain, and I'm going to block all further contact from them - it's bordering in harassment.
I cant register! It doesn't let me get past the section where I put in my mobile number. 🤦
I don't really see the point of this if everything has to be manually uploaded? my bank isn't supported and you can't connect any investment or pension accounts via PSD2 or screen scraping

I'm not a paying customer, but I must say that the customer support is amazing. They really try their best to help you out. However, the app is full of bugs. I won't list my odyssey of issues I had with this app, but believe me when I say that it has bugs pretty much everywhere. I love the idea, but at the moment, it's impossible to use from my end
