Did the app get hacked or something? Have used the pixiv site for years to browse fanart, but now the app does nothing but display scam ads. Ads in themselves are not bad, but full screen invasive ads that redirect you to scams is awful.

i gonna put one star until you truly managed to handle ai generated slop and properly ultilize your useless "Display settings for AI-generated work" setting cause it is so useless some scum ai slop maker still can slip through it, what a useless setting
This is probably the worst optimized app on the Play Store! Things don't load to a point where you'll think you've lost connection, but it's just the app not loading stuff. Videos? forget it! And charging to sort by popular? Terrible idea.

Doesn't allow us to view private DMs and for the website it doesn't even allow us to delete the DMs that we don't want. Seriously horrible app/website. Let alone that they allow all kind of things to exist with zero morals.

filled with scam content designed to install viruses, Malware, Scamware, and Ransomware on your device. I have since reported this application for such legal infractions.

this app used to be great a little buggy at times and a ui that requires a degree to understand but otherwise a great app. my reason for the 1 star and ultimately why I unistalled is because of the adds. the adds on multiple occasions now have forcibly dragged me to a "your android devices has viruses" website that then infected my phone with viruses because its a scammers website designed to infect any android system that opens it. and im tired of going through that so I'll stick to the website
The app feels like absolute adware. You'll be using the app normally (sometimes not even touching your phone) and it'll bring up an ad. Normally they're the average ad but at worst it'll literally direct you to scam websites or a possible virus inducing one. I don't like the fact that an ad can appear at any time. Especially when it leads me to scams.
Used to be great for keeping up with artists, but the popups make it unusable. Frequent popups to scam sites that you can't block or opt out of.

you need to pay to activate the block tags. this is so greedy. many sites do this for free so why do you charge us for it
The app was good to look at fanart, but now, scam ads will automatically open up in web browsers claiming your device has viruses. You don't even have to click anywhere. I literally did nothing and they still showed up. Until this problem is fixed, I would not recommend this app. Use the website instead.
I like the app and its where I post all my art. but PLEASE fix the full screen ads, a lot of them feel like scams too. Its extremely unprofessional and skeevy feeling. I get you want us to pay for pixiv but this isnt the way to do it.
MALWARE/SCAM ADS/POP-UPS APPEAR RANDOMLY. OTHER PEOPLE ARE REPORTING THE SAME THING. PEOPLE NEED TO REPORT THIS TO GOOGLE SO THEY FIX IT OR TAKE THE APP DOWN.
worst app ever,I can't read the novels because they don't make sense and the message tool doesn't work plus there is one of my haters named @Lord-Enemil who was mean to me and tried to ruin my love for art and he even made an inappropriate "Animator Vs Animation" Post I hate this app!
used to be good. now there are constant Indian scam style pop-ups loading sketchy websites without permission. absolutely unacceptable performance

new ad system that immediately redirects you to a scam website without warning every 5 or so minutes. this does violate the play store TOS and the devs should probably fix it before they get the app taken down.
Pray tell, why is your app suddenly acting scammy? I should not need a pop up blocker for an app that shows me photos. I noticed it awhile back and thought it might be a bug, nope, they just decided to start acting like sketchy virus pop up sites trying to get you to click on something.

App's functional, but the ad experience is abysmal with multiple pop-ups and malicious ads.
App was fine... But now it shows ads where it takes you to your browser and tries to scam you. Intrusive and a complete waste of time. A shame, I really liked using this app and I understand that you need ads to make money. But this is going a bit far...

They actually added pop-up ads into the app like a PUP.

The slowest app ever.
literally when i reinstalled it, it had unskippable and unclosable popups randomly for no reason at all. they randomly show up when browsing, but the worst part is there is no "X" button to close out of them, so it constantly takes me to the play store whenever i try to find a way to exit. it forces me to close and reopen the app. awful. you are also unable to view messages like in the desktop version or toggle between viewing r18 works or not.
This app has straight up become malware at this point...
Fanbox doesn't accept debit cards, wish I could give it zero stars for that as I wish to support my favorite artists but can't because of this one simple piece of BS.

Advert implementation is botched. The ad while playing attempts to open browser on multiple occasions and within the 5s video ad, and another 5s static ad. Timer doesn't countdown if you got redirected to the browser. It took me 13-17secs for a 10secs total ad time due to this.
