I'm probably going to get charged again and now I'm going to have to go to PayPal.

waste of time i downloaded the app started off took a picture of my lemon tree to test the app it told me my plant was a capsicum bell pepper plant ?
First use of Ask Botanist was ok. Second use not good - app kept losing my replies to questions and then freezing - this happened at least three or four times - very annoying and irritating.

I have been getting charged $9.99 per week for this app and don't even see it in my apps. I want a refund. I would have never signed up for such a thing. Total Scam in my opinion.

Besides it doesn't have glowing comments about the success rate of identifying plants.

DO NOT USE. I downloaded app for dying house plant on discount of $4.99 and cancelled first week. HubX Studios Ltd. Charged my card $9.99 the same day and then weekly, some weeks charging me twice. No I didn't download twice. FRAUD. No cancellation confirmation email is sent. Also, when you log back into app which says "inactive" in order to make sure you have cancelled, the first button you have to hit is "reactivate account" which I am sure they use to argue the fraudulent charges
I have tried to unregistered from this app several times, and it seems each time I do the following month I am charging an additional amount instead of no charge. I would be very cautious of installing and activating this app, because 1. you will not be able to unenroll 2. You will be charged either the same or more multiple times the following month even when you get emails from them saing they have unenrolled you. Very unsatisfied.

yet another scam. It's a breach of consumer law to not provide a way to cancel subscription. Oh I know you say you do, but it's not under Google subscriptions, I know how to use that. Nor is there a way through the site. As I mentioned on my email, remove the subscription reoccurring or third parties will be contacted. Disgusting behaviour! Grow up!
Couldn't identify the plant I wanted it to..tried three timed
all the plants that I want to identify it tell me is the same plant. it sucks.

Scam! Had to give payment info, (I knew I shouldn't have done it), before free 3 day trial would start. Site stated that if canceled before trial was up there would be no charge. Did not like the results I got identifying plants. Canceled within 45 minutes of getting the app. Card was charged immediately and now they haven't refunded the charge. I have a print out showing canceled!!! It doesn't deserve a star!
One third of the time the app identifies a plant, but from a picture that you have on your phone the other two thirds of the time it will tell me it is under maintenance. With the free option you only get three tries in a day, this is why I will take a picture of the plant to check later. Some days the app uses all three of my tries with the maintenance reply and I can't look up a new plant. Please fix this.
I tried 3 plants and it only identified one. WASTE OF MONEY
the only thing this app got right was 2 of my house plants. I will have to find a better one. sorry

9.99 a WEEK!?! This is app is has potential but a high cost w/only a 3 day free trial which most people won't trust bc apps like this are famous for charging you anyway even if you cancel. I feel like everything is a grift these days. I'm not agreeing to anything for only 3 days that I have to give consent to charge my account, before I know for sure that it's worth that price and is beneficial. I did the plant id scan on a Hydrangea and it identified it as a Bushy Lippia!? Epic fail!

Tricking people into subscribing to apps is not a business model. It is a scam. I'm so sick and tired of being scammed everywhere I turn. They don't even bother to respond to emails. As long as very busy and distracted people forget to navigate complicated menus and logins in order to cancel these petty little subscriptions, they'll get their money. To them, that's the beauty of it: they don't even have to pretend to care. They are counting on your forgetting and soaking you for $560 annually

The fact that the developer does not reply to any reviews, shows that this is a scam app. Typical Google irresponsible activity. Stay Away. 😎
