Terrible
the card gacha got much worse, i never got anything rare anymore. i didnt get any hooh or lugia for 2 weeks straight. so thats 20 booster pulls. the solo random battle is also rigged, the enemy pokemon always wakes up everytime i put it to sleep. its getting very annoying to get 5 consecutive win let alone 10.
played this game for a month and after the first month period the ways to collect the hour glass does not exist, only 2 packs per day that also no guarantee about new or better cards. the pvp is rigged as hell, i tried creating multiple meta decks but whenever i battled with them the opponent in pvp either has better deck or somehow with worst deck gets the better cards early than us, so can't climb up above a designated league. after collecting the HG and doing 10 pulls and getting nothing suck
This game is brimming with dogshit. Matches are rigged. Wonder picks are rigged. UI is dogshit. Gameplay is dogshit. Dogshit everywhere. Absolute dogshit game! Update: the new set should be called Everyday Dogshit.
game is rigged for f2p, im losing every ranked match now can't win a single game now. I know im bad but to lose every match, im using what meta deck everyone uses when I try again different deck I am still losing game is meant to give p2w players more priority to win the matches I assume. Every deck im using is countered by my opponent or im given a bad hand every match 😤.

Started in love, ending in disgust. 1 star for the beautiful full arts and -4 stars for the rest of this unbalanced mess. Infinite popsicle healing, never getting the last common card in the collection (even with the subscription), death by sleep in turn 1, and 200+HP Megas attacking with two energies or less. I used to enjoy the battles but now I'm just shaving years off my life playing this game. Collecting cards is the only thing keeping me around.
Over an ok game but the wonder pick is rigged if you select a pack that has an EX draw you should have a 1 in 5 chance of selecting the EX card but this is not the case. Conversely if you choose a pack with cards that you don't have but there is one or two that you do, you will more often than not always get the card that you already have even if it is a 1 to 5 chance.
This game absolutely SUCKS I had it one time and got rid of it then a year later I tried twice and uninstalled it to reinstall and when it reached 80% download (which takes 30 mins) it said connection error please try again never gonna try again

Haven't had a new card in over a week of opening packs. Once you get to level 40 you hit a wall where theres nothing to do except rigged Expert ai battles and you are Thousands upon thousands of pack openings away from anywhere near collecting them all. Wonder pick is just another disappointment too wait 3 days to pick something where theres 4 you need and you get the 1 card you have 10 of, Again! Let us sell dupes or Do SOMETHING with them, what am i supposed to do with 3 1* Piplups exactly
it takes to long to get into the game the loading is really long and after leaving the app it restarts.
if you play versus ai, it's rigged against the player. you will lose and keep losing to make what should be 5 battles to get 12 hourglasses turn into 20+ battles of hard countering and "bad luck"(it's not luck if it's 100% of the time you get tails while the ai can grindcore/team rocket all your energy, but you can't get 1 heads to literally save you.) you can improve your luck if you're a premium user. rigged gameplay ≠ harder difficulty, its just cheating/lazy game development..
Beware of terrible support. Used gold on a 10 pack of the newest expansion, the game somehow gave me the wrong 10 pack. Support is unable to assist with in game issues related to purchases, which feels like it should be half of their job but whatever I guess.
Digital cardboard collecting simulator. Nintendo is trash.

Most rigged, unfair, cheater infested digital TCG I've ever had the displeasure of playing. Fix your damn game.

Sleep decks are horrible to play against and they just keep getting support with awful cards available to try and play around it. It's a 50:50 of whether or not you get to play the game. How is that fun? How is that enjoyable? 50 damage turn 1 before I even get to play the game thanks to darkrai with 40 more coming if I don't flip heads, and now I can even enjoy that in my expert random battles!
looks like I need to keep the app window active while it downloads a multi-gig update right off the bat? lol...that is ruuuuff...goodbyyyeee...

edit: 6/29/26 game is still money hungry. oh, and the auto battle feature? completely pointless. The AI in this game is broken. Avoid if possible. The expert solo 'random' battles are not even close to random. consecutive wins are impossible to achieve. The rewards for such a feat? Not even CLOSE to worth the headache. Out of 10 battles, I played a fire deck that was countered with the same 2 decks. There is no 'randomness' to the AI battles at all. just rigged in favor of the devs.
the log in loop bug has been in the game since release and still not fixed.. you just c a n t log in with nintendo account because the moment you press "select this account" on the redirect, it sends you back to the app and it just restarts like it forgot all together that you were even trying to sign in to begin with. This is both extremely pathetic and also entirely expected of nintendo and especially pokemon company.

I have 3,275 cards, I'd use every swear I knew in this review if I could, I absolutely adore pokemon and I want to collect the cards because they are of course pretty cool, but I have SO many repeats and don't get me STARTED on how few shinys or whatever, my friend got a god pack in under a thousand, the MOST I have ever gotten in one pack is a simple 4 diamond rarity, and a single gold star, just amazing, I can not fathom my luck, SO much time I put into this game just to be punched in the gut.

Experience has gotten worse over time, very disappointing. Sets are simply harder to obtain, the same 3 decks have been the best for so long it's boring to battle, and CPU battles are clearly skewed in it's own favor. Rewards shrunk over time and there have been zero new game modes implemented. Especially with Champions out and doing well, I can see this game dying fast if they don't try new things. Please I want this game to be good again
please fix the issue with the wishlist. says I have 20, but only 1 shows in the list. still not fixed. it's been over a year since this problem has shown up
Gameplay has been horrible since sleep scam has become the new meta. In addition, animation and the overall app is extremely slow even on powerful hardware.
Love the game, though the insane luck in coin flips in AI matches is utter insanity. What do you mean I pull tails five times in a row meanwhile the bot gets every coin flip going for them consecutively each turn? It gets worse with the higher difficulties too. Yeah, literally the only really bad part about it. Packs are cool though.
