Stupid app thinks I use my phone when I enter a car wash, even though I must scan a QR code first. Then, while I sit there and the car moves through the wash, if I look at my phone, it gives me penalty points. It also punishes normal braking at yellow lights: I can either speed up and break the limit, or brake safely, and braking gets penalized. Yet speeding up or even running a red light gets no penalty. The app pushes unsafe driving and teaches people to game the system. It is very backward.
Don't use Progressive! They won't honor your legit claims. They will find every excuse to not get your vehicle fixed. I had full coverage for 5 years and I had to fix my car out of pocket. Instead of spending their money on running commercials every other TV spot. They can honor to pay their customers!
I am not a progressive customer but was still forced to download this app to interface with them after I was hit by one of their drivers. Then to add insult to injury, it was buggy and crashed when trying to upload photos for my claim. Meanwhile the web browser version had worked just fine, but was arbitrarily no longer an option.
won't let me open app
Been trying to add my email and password for two hours now. Done with your game. Tried to contact my agent that you provided. No voice mail, try later on is not a solution if I have questions on trying to load my information into your "snapshot" program.
I tried to use it to submit a claim. The videos would not upload. And finally after they did, it asked me to put the VIN number of my vehicle and submit. there was no place to put my VIN number. And also why do I have to do all this leg work when they said they're sending someone out anyway! what a waste of time!

To expensive, all they ever do is increase your premium every year and gives a lame excuse.

I've had the app for years...it's poor phone service is spotty...
I had to install and reinstall the app several times as it caused my phone to glitch or overheat draining the battery very fast. I hope improvements could be done to the app,to make it more efficient.
I'm not able to get on the app even after the update.. and also restarting my device

after downloading the app, giving all of the permissions, one feels exposed, vulnerable and victimized. Who knows what they are doing with all this data.

Snapshot is KILLING my battery. I have to have the stupid thing on so I get the discount, but if I do my battery dies in under 2 hours. FIX THIS.
Worthless garbage. They do not allow to make changes to your own policy through the app. The only option to continue after making changes just sends you through a loop, forcing you to either call them or live chat with them. This is done intentionally.
why ask over and over for app???

BUYER BEWARE! Progressive has terrible customer service and you'll speak with unlicensed representatives after purchase. Check your app to make sure your policy is active everyday. Their unlicensed reps CAN cancel your policy out of spite and no one will care.
If I could give this app, AND this company, a negative number of stars, it would be -5. Snapshot is a JOKE. I used Credit Karma to monitor my driving for discount offers. I keep getting offers from ONE company. PROGRESSIVE! And yet, when Im graded by Snapshot, I get 1 star, amd my policy shoots up over $200/month. Dont. Just DONT. Seriously. Theres MUCH better options available. God knows I found another I merely hours. Bye bye Progressive!
Since last update app keeps freezing and asks to wait or close app. crashing others apps on my phone also multi times daily. getting frustrating
Drains my battery real fast and I'm not sure it's worth what I'm saving, to have this running all the time.

While the core features of this app work pretty nicely, the fact that the app enables foreground activity on its own is pretty sus. Coupled with the fact that the app unopened consumes more battery life than Google Chrome with 6+ tabs open and YouTube is a definite reason for me to consider stopping the usage of this app and using the website.
This Progressive account should be cancel, and terminated 4/24/2026. Why it's charging me. I did called the Co. for cancellation.

Bugs and inaccuracies need to be worked out. 7 minute drive today. Never even touched my phone. Stayed in my pocket. Still registered 4% phone usage. No idea how. Does not register well if with someone else who also has the app. Will freeze and need to be reinstalled on occasion (yes, I tried force stop, clear cache, and all the other tricks. I manage apps for a living). When this happens, you need to reinstall, log in, get the code, and set permissions all over again. Needs a LOT of work.
To Intricate ( how can i send !pictures of my car to be insured !???
Still having troubles with being able to log in. Updated my phone number and I am still getting the verification process problems...it keeps wanting to send the code to my old number not my new one. This has been going on for 3 + months. I've Uninstaller and reinstalled the app several different time, as the Customer Service Support Person told me too. I installed Adobe, Updated my browser....still cannot get the app to work.! Now it's not even allowing me to check on the SnapShot..!!
