really tough to keep up with the app. it's designed well and easy enough to add accounts, but the accounts don't always link, the transactions you're expecting don't link to what has occurred, you need to reconnect and reverify accounts regularly, lots of notifications to action, and overall, much more work than benefit. lots of work for limited benefit. I think quicken makes money from people signing up, realizing it isn't good, canceling, and keeping 55% of the money paid as well. beware

I enter my email and click next and get an endless circle. Also the app is missing essential tax features such as the home office deduction.
cringe ai implementation. chat bot is a pathetic use of ai, and ai launcher icon blocks useful features on multiple pages with no remediation possible in-app (e.g., categorize expense page). slop ux design and testing. integrating ai in fintech isn't hard -- simplifi isn't close to adding value with chatbot slop. i paid my subscription in advance but am going to try mint and the other options anyway. this is after i finally cancelled my OG quicken subscription after years of successful use. sad.
This app wants access to your bank accounts. Had I known that, I would not have purchased it. No one needs companies in their bank account. Please delete this account and refund my subscription money. This is a useless invasion of financial privacy! Disgusting.
Removed the ability to create a rule while correcting the category of a transaction. A small feature that was fundamental to the app actually being usable, given that transactions are categorized incorrectly about 50% of the time. Instead they expect you to manually fix them all every time, possibly hundreds of (often repeating) transactions. I will be requesting a refund and closing my account, unacceptable given the price of this subscription.
Set rules, but app still doesn’t do as told. App thinks HEB is a pharmacy. HEB is a grocery store. So my budget shows a lot of pharmacy purchases...and I never buy groceries!? I want my money back.

Don't bother with this garbage app. It's confusing to figure out without at least prior bookkeeping exp. Picking a date with the scroll overlay IS STUPID. First pick a year, THEN day, then month. I just can't with this idiocy against decades of UI logic. Also, unless you need a basic AI answer, the only way to seek help is calling; without a way to copy the number or boop a link to the phone app. Blatantly trying to reduce call volume for cost savings. Pathetic.
Never again. got this because I thought itd help. The fees paid out for receiving payment and the holds on my payments done through it are rediculous. a huge reason why I just left my last bank. I can't run a business with my money constantly on hold. that nearly put us under with our bank doing that. the invoices are also massively limited so we still have to do them hand typed because we can't adjust them properly. And they force you into automatic renewal
price went up and still no updates! add option when displaying lists to multi-select and select all. Fix slow connection issues with all institutions. Fix auto categories (use the users input to train AI to learn how I track my finances). add a feature to connect to Amazon and break down transactions into what was ordered (like monarch). Fix multiple issues where payee is altered on transacts. Show images of checks in the app (USAA). Add a feature to track month utility and predict future bills

Not that good, I'll stick with Quicken Classic.
If you ever want to know how much money you DON'T HAVE, this is the app for you. This app does everything but correct math. The AI help will blame everything on your bank, the backend transaction processing, anything but the fact that it's half baked. You're better off managing your accounts by spreadsheet or pencil and paper.
AVOID- No connections to UK or international banks- despite misleading description. No refund offered.

Major bug !!! Currently not updating any newly entered manual transactions. And it's been like that for a almost a week.
I’ve been using this app for over a year, and it has far too many mistakes. It creates too many duplicate transactions, and it doesn’t retrieve my wife’s PayPal account activity even though it works with mine. I’ve had to spend extra time fixing errors, and at this point I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who needs reliable financial tracking.
I signed up for the app... set up an account and now I can't get into the app... I've reset the password 5 times and received the confirmation but when I go to log back into the app I keep getting the error to reset the password... zero stars
not good at all
Constant disconnect issues with many financial institutions, support always make you jump through hoops, then oh this is a known issue from months ago with absolutely no update what so ever, just wait till we get it fixed. Years later still all broken. Simplifi is far worse than many free options.

Don't do it Luke! This app, if not managed perfectly, will severely mess up your desktop Quicken file. The app reset many of my memorized weekly/monthly/quarterly reminders so they either disappeared or skipped several periods into the future. The app also modified Reconciled status of several historical transactions causing forward reconciliations to fail. In the end I disconnected the app from my Quicken account and rebuilt my desktop file from a previous backup.
Did not sync with my bank correctly. Treated credit card transactions like income and didn't even recognize transactions in bank accounts. Waste of money.
nearly impossible to delete your account
Its more work than mint and they charge you for it. Lacks modern apprach. Antiquated.
absolutely awful. tried it for budgeting, totally overkill, could not follow workflows, maybe it's a generational thing, I am last year of the boom. unable to build a budget. back to excel and a worksheet
Missing institutions. I've spent several years requesting Bloomwell 529 Education Plan and to this day you still don't have it. Mint had it, Schwab has it, CreditKarma has it. Aren't you guys supposed to be the industry leader? I am actively looking for a new solution/alternative. I have expectations from my vendors, especially for solutions I pay for. How do these free services do it? I can't recommend your company or product.
Modern banks/investments require daily or weekly reconnects (full reauthentication via plaid) to keep it current due to security concerns/policies. Additionally, half of the features I need require the website (rules, profile settings, mass edits). Your purpose is to make it EASY to track my finances, not replicate 10 minutes of excel. Its 2026, not ye old days of containerized apple app nonsense. Your app should be on par or superior to a website, nothing should be holding you back.
so many inconvenient features! doesn't update the balance half the time and randomly added beginning balance again after 4 months of using it so I had $300 less than I thought I did! also this costs way too much for as annoying as it is!
Missing some core functionality that makes it painful to use. When categorizing a transaction you can't create a rule for that vendor when you pick the category, you have to manually create a rule under setting where you type in the vendor's name from memory. This is basic core functionality for an app like this and shocking that it's missing from the phone app
forgot to tell me it's a PAID app
Constant problems and non-existent support. have been told repeatedly to do various things to fix broken functionality myself. It's like support are scared to actually do any investigation work. This morning I was told again to unlink and reimport all of my investments (for the second time this week, due to different "bugs"). The platform working is your responsibility, not the customer. This is a paid product, and customers expect it to work (Or to get support when it doesn't).
I just purchased the Business and Personal subscription online for one year. However, I cannot log in to the product online nor in the app! I get the message "Incorrect username or password." I'm sure everything is correct. There no customer service option available. :-{
Simplify calculated my net worth by adding liabilities to assets instead of subtracting liabilities (home loan) from my assets. That's a rookie mistake.

Disappointing... Requires payment up front without even a trial period. I don't mind paying for an app if I think it's going to work for me, but I have no way of knowing that without being able to try it out first.

Not a good app. The actual app itself is terrible to use. The interface is clunky, it's forecasting isn't clear or accurate, and it's category tracking isn't intuitive so you have to manually adjust much more than you should. edit: there is no reminder for subscription renewal. I hadn't used the app in at least 6 months and then I received a notification saying my subscription was renewed.
Way way worse than Mint, which used to work well before it was effectively retired. Simplifi can't reconcile different currencies (ie USD account balances appear as CAD) and doesn't support Questrade or Wealthsimple Visa. Accounts lose connections/credentials all the time. Went from convenient to frustrating to work with... am seeking alternatives.

hard to get out of
Was looking to purchase Simplifi.. Classic slips in and now paying double. What the heck.. Will let friends know. Plus, have no luck in loading into Google Chrome OS. If it won't load will dispute the purchase with bank. Just looking for a simple budget program that follows what is being spent ane where.
Looked up free financial help Apps, this one came up it was not free. Uninstaller it.
onboarding experience is a total joke. the app didn't even hold its state when I switched to get the stupid verification code. junk.
Be aware that if you try the Quicken Simplifi and decide that it will not work for you, it is incredibly difficult to delete your account. I could not customize this app for the way that I do my budgeting so decided that I would just eat the $36 loss. Now I have to spend time contacting Google Play to cancel my account because just canceling the subscription is not enough for Quicken to delete the account. In the meantime, I get many annoying emails that I do not want and lose my own time.
I have both an HSA and a Roth IRA with the same holdings in them at Schwab. November 20th or 21st Simplifi disconnected the HSA. They are saying it's because no activity in 60 days, but the Roth that had the same dividend payment back in September is still connected. Anyone have any recommendations for a software that won't disconnect your accounts like this for no real reason? I've reconnected the account, reset the connection (many times), and been through customer service for over an hour.
It's a bit rude of their customer service agent. Closed the conversation when I am not yet finished responding. Issue was a consistent FDP 101 error (can't connect even if login was correct) when connecting to my BMO Canada account, and all they did was throw me a 'case number' bone and chew on it while they 'work on it as quick as possible'. It should be called 'Complicatifi' not 'Simplifi'. They don't have a trial version, gotta pay to experience their services. In contrast, Monarch is better.
