I have used this app for many years. Now I have updated to Ultra fast Broadband and this app can't cope with it. Stopping, glitching etc. So I'm off to another app that will work.

can't get my favorite radio stations
It has become useless since I can't connect with my car anymore.
Your app used to be good, but recently, it stops for no apparent reason a couple of minutes after I started it. Sometimes, you can restart the station, sometimes you have to restart the app. This renders the app unusable. That's why I've given 1 star and uninstalled it. I've since installed a different app, and that works flawlessly. Edit: It only does this when you have this useless app running in the background.
Forced ads upon opening the app delay being able to quickly access your chosen programming. More recently, the same ads play once the app has opened and you select your station. It can literally take a full minute to access your program. Deal breaker. I've used this app for several years and put up with the start-up ad. Now it has become unbearable.
literally listed a dozen stations maybe 4 of which were in Toronto. none of which were the station that pointed me to the app. How am I supposed to find the station I am looking for?
app keeps telling me that its locked for my safety., not even driving . as just sitting waiting for it to load. even tho I updated. it won't work. im over it. im deleting it
I've found the adds a little annoying but tolerable up until lately. Now there are constant scare ads (your browser is full or you have a virus) that constantly open my browser and try and get me to download third party software. I've had to remove the app from my phone.
After using it for years they decided to update the app and made it the most unwelcoming app. I nearly uninstalled it. Lost all of my favourite stations, then it won't let you proceed without selecting at least one new favourite from a selection of stations they select. Then I have to do the same for podcasts? WHY IN THE WORLD DO I NEED TO DO THIS? JUST LET ME PLAY RADIO
Used to be the best. Now the worst, forever cutting out. Don't bother with it, REMOVED
Since 2025, when I last submitted a review, the app has updated many times. The alarm rarely works now. if I use my doorbell app (have had 2 different ones now) to monitor live video, for sure the alarm won't work the next day, and a phone restart is required. Good thing I have a dog to wake me too. And now ads are interrupting my listening. i keep missing the news and talk content as ads sporadically interrupt. I've used this app for years, but it's now too unreliable to continue. v8.7.0.213
try to listen to a radio station and the ads from this app cut off songs/news in it. not worth using this app, switching to seekr.
This app spams commercials. You open the app, commercial. You select a station station, commercial. Lose service? Commercial. Pause the station, commercial. Heaven forbid that you would want to use speech to text while using this app while listening to a sports broadcast. iHeartradio does not do this. Do better Radioplayer.
Preplay ads wreck the experience.
Absolutely terrible app. Takes literally minutes to load if you are lucky. Often have to restart several times before you can listen to anything. Go and find another better app if you actually want to listen to the radio not be faffing around for five minutes every time.
Car, although Android based, is not supported? Unbelievable!
this app takes a million years to load up, even windows 95 boots up faster than this useless thing. it's the 21st century sort it out

It forces a 30 second ad on you every time you hit pause and then play again. Enough. We already hear the ads on the stations, and you got your lick in when I opened the app. Stop spamming them. I just downloaded a different third party app to listen to the same station without the BS ads so you've lost a customer who used to be part of your ad revenue.

Alarm clock not working. started to work now stopped again mar16
one of latest updates messed the battery life.it seems that the Player is constantly running in background and consuming a large amount of a battery. so much that the phone battery life drop become noticeable. e.g cca 20-25% per day
this app us rubbish you only have 9 uk stations and 9 R OI stations that's what you call poor not as good as first radio player uk

terrible interface. search function does not work effectively. when you first download and start using the app forces you to choose a favourite station from preselected stations but doesn't let you search for a station that it doesn't recommend. used to be more user friendly but has lost functionality. none of my previous issues have been resolved and the app continues to play progressively more ads. it plays an ad anytime you open the app change the radio player it's not even worth listening
It says Radio Player allows you to listen to your favourite radio stations which is incorrect. I can't search for my favourite and it doesn't find any of the stations near me using my current location. This app needs some work.
They've broken this app used to be good now won't install, you select UK then can't continue.

really great app for musical chairs, consistently stops playing music or whatever you're listening to at random intervals. I've gotten better success out of streaming from a web page or other apps without any interruptions.
It used to be good but now big brother has taken over. So what do I mean! Well someone has decided to give the app a tweak so that it knows when you are in your vehicle, the app then becomes completely inactive (for your safety!) which makes the app is unusable. Even as a passenger I can't use the app to reload or tune to a different station. I previously gave this app 5 stars but since I can't use it in my vehicle I now give it just 1 star.
Garbage. Plays a random length ad when you start it and inserts ads over radio content while you are listening. Extremely glitchy to cast with, contantly disconnecting. All this to listen to ad packed radio. No thanks.

Unable to Cast to my amplifier (Sony). Casting works fine from TuneIn and DR Lyd
Was great but now loses radio after a few seconds every time. Weather its WiFi or 5g, just don't work like it used to.
Too many ads when using the app. Recently ads are also in a foreign language unfamiliar to Canadians.

When Radioplayer starts up with the red screen, STOP THOSE 30 SECOND ADS. NO ONE IS INTERESTED IN THEM. MOST OF THEM ARE MOSTLY REPEATS.
Draining my battery whilst the app isn't open - I've finally figured out it's this app which is causing my battery life to be non-existent. Generally a good app but this is a deal breaker, also what is the app doing in the background all the time?
never had adds before. now adds on top of the radio adds. redundant much. how about providing song details while playing.
