This used to be ok, now trying to use it, it's flashing and won't work anymore. If I could give zero stars I would. the app has become horrible and can't use it, it used to be ok but not anymore.
I've reinstalled the software multiple times, but the problem persists. The 'Sign In' button does nothing when I click it.

Could you provide a fix to your application? So far, the experience has been 0 stars with no chance of recommendation.

HORRIBLE!!! I've been using the app for several years with no problem but today, I have problems with cc being accepted, recaptcha looping & "upstream connect error or di sconnect/reset before headers. reset reason: connection failure" WHAT THE HELL????
App not allowing to purchase, I have forced the app from working, uninstall, installed it again, signed out signed back in and nothing, unable to purchase anything
Every page says there's no internet connection when there is. It's basically useless.

the company is being sneaky; waiting to tag purchased as ineligible post a standard return window / when items would already have been used. but baiting you into purchasing with their advertising only to pull the rug out from under you.
they were great until they stopped cutting checks and you gotta earn like $5 a month, do I bounced. replying to your comment, that's not true.

Should not REQUIRE credit card info. The simple fact you can't just scan a receipt as an option is pretty dumb. It should at least be an option. Another app asking for credit card information when it doesn't have to be done that way.
Lag so bad you can't make a purchase.Initially, the ap was great, and I loved the concept. over the years, I noticed at the check screen it would take a while to load, or you have to refresh the screen multiple times, and the payment was finalized. now it constantly loads no matter what payment option you choose. It's so bad I uninstalled the app.
latest update doesn't work on Android
This is a scam! I just noticed that they have a flat rate for flight tickets. This flat rate is hidden in third place in the list among the rates expressed as percentages! This is how they trick their customers.
There's still no tablet or foldable support. I've no idea why this is still an issue, in 2026.

Your responses are unacceptable. Prescripted and uncaring. You have tons of unhappy app users & all you do is give the same response. We should all start mass deleting your app. Update Several years later & Rakuten has gotten worried. 3-14 weeks before you see your cash back??? Why such a long time??? That's insane. The waiting period keeps getting longer & longer. It's like they're hoping you forget about it & the next thing you know you check back & it's ineligible.
account maintenance fee is ridiculous lost money cause of that. sneaky way of saying we will take your money back uninstall this app use to be good! Now you can get better apps that will pay you more money back with out the ridiculous maintenance fee..... Uninstalled

Updated app is not working. All of the subjects under Contact Us do not open.....yes, I clicked on them all. No way to notify of Missing Cash, or even to contact Rakuten. I thought I might need to update the app...nope. This app is pretty much useless now, except for Rakuten knowing where I am shopping. Not happy at all, fix the app!!!

If you were to check the actual website you will see that the price is less than when you go through the rackuten app. If you are a first-time user of a website and are buying something and get the automatic discount you will not get a cash back from rackuten app
Your account is unavailable . that's all I get told when I try to log in. no easy way to contact them. no reply when you email them. Search this, tonnes of others have experienced the same. I'm left without getting my cashback. edit: they still don't reply to emails!
I previously rated the Rakuten app five stars, but I’m updating to one star due to ongoing performance issues. Pages often take minutes to load or fail entirely, and I’ve had to restart my phone just to complete purchases on both WiFi and cellular. The desktop experience works, but the app is unreliable and undermines the service. I’ve had no issues with Ibotta. Until this is fixed, I can’t recommend using the app.
The app thinks my Samsung s25 Ultra is a tablet and will not work at all.

nothing works. every time you try to go to a stores web page it says its unavailable. or you get onto the page but nothing works. you're clicking but nothing is happening. it's the best.
I hardly use it .It's not good as it used to. the money stays on pending for long time .Last time I used it it was 2/20/2026 .earned like $3 and still on pending.

In store list of stores changes from online store list. The list should both be the same. Offer the option to go in dark mode for both website and mobile app. Stop manipulating custo er experience based on algorithms.
very glitchy to use. I do have cashback to collect and that is great, but everytime I try to update anything or sometimes even just log in, it says technical error or something not working.

love the cash back, hate that the sites are awful to navigate through this app, they're slow, they don't load properly and some won't even let me edit my cart
Good website.... terrible app I've been happy with my limited time with the company and have earned a few ££ here and there, sadly the majority of the time that's going through their website as I've not been able to log onto their app for six months or so and since I do most of my online purchases through my phone..... it's a missed opportunity.
