But needing my wallet to send money digitally defeats the purpose of being able to send it digitally. This feature alone is making me think of ditching RBC. Imagine having to go get you wallet everytime you wanna transfer money. Or even worse if you aren't around your wallet and want to send money.

Not functioning properly
can't even log in anymore with the forced mfa, after putting the code in you just get the technical difficulties error

Will not allow me to add any other biometrics sign in unless I set up a fingerprint... the fingerprint sensor on my phone is broken.
Cannot send an e-transfer to my other account. Stuck in a "cannot verify your ID" loop with 2-step authentication. Will not let me confirm my identity with drivers license. Please fix ASAP, I need to transfer the money pronto. Reinstalling the app does not fix the issue. My available online banking limits are too low to handle this transaction. This is all new as I have done this exact transfer multiple times in the past.
I do not want the stupid extra layers of security being shoved in my face. I do not want to use my card with the nfc reader every time I do an e-transfer and I do not want to show my id to do things with my account either. This app is trash.
I am unable to take a picture of my cheque as there is no possible exit from the page that instructs me on how to take the picture
Not compatible with Samsung S9+ all latest updates. As one user said what century is RBC in ? it's not acceptable that you kill support for Android devices running the latest Os . Yet I have a samsung phone running the exact same thing with no problem . WHY ? . I ALSO SEE THAT THERE IS NO ISSUE WITH SUPPORT FOR APPLE DEVICES . This app is being run by idiots . My other banking app with Desjardins runs fine . Explain to me why a phone is safe ? Fu and taking my money where customers are important
too many issues, constantly trying to verify my identity for no reason even after 2fa, need to send transactions multiple times to get them to register, tried calling support as suggested by rbc but it's just useless agents and AI slop, horrible company, I will be switching banks when this becomes a mandatory hindrance
So frustrating to use this app.. it has to be the absolute worst bank app EVER. if I could give it negative rating id give it -5 stars. I feel like im being robbed everyday of simple necessities like seeing where my money goes. i thought that was the purpose of online banking? to mske life easier...not make life miserable.. Now I have money appearing than disappearing and can't even use the stupid chat option. final straw.. update your app or just close RBC. RBC IS HORRENDOUS PEOPLE!
App is broken. Can't login anymore but login via web works fine. Trying to login via app just is an endless loop going back to the login screen.
Out of the banking apps i have used it is probably one of the worst apps, the design of the app is actually above avrage but there is a hoop to jump through any time you want to do anything at all even logging in is a pain in the but and it constantly tries to make you do something you're not really interested in like phone pay for sending e transfers for example.

I cannot deposit money to my card. The ATM gives an error. I called the phone number on the back of the card, and the robot does not recognize my card number, so I cannot contact a real employee. In the app, in the contact us section, there is a chat now button, but it does not work, the chat does not load. I have never encountered a worse bank.
well I'm not with you guys no more I was treated badly by the second manager and I'm with another bank but I have rights to make a commitment I'm not with the royal bank anymore and I'm not interested in going there ever again 😡 and I will be putting a complaint on being treated badly so I'm not with you anymore goodbye

Avoid at all costs... Run! they will even charge you a $20 fee to close your bank account. One of the worst banks in Canada.
constant technical issues
Went traveling to Europe and guess what... app doesn't work outside of North America. Three days in a row getting technical issues error, same error when trying to install it on my tablet using password. If you want to use your card on vacation and have access to your bank account make sure baking app works.
RBC screwing up the only thing left good. Now i have to extra clic to see all my accounts, and to see USD holdings, the app is slower, and using unnecessary screen space now that you wrapped the information in cute bubbles. I quit the online portal after years of continuous wreckage, now here comes the app's turn! Update: What have they done to the charts? No time and no values on XY scales!!! Please fire the person in charge of the app and get rid of ticker symbols. No comments from RBC yet.

Is very frustrated, (Noooo) it wasn' easy and the virtual assistant is not good either. if you are calling to find out something and it ask the same question how can i answer.
From worse to TERRIBLE Space X IPO and RBC direct investment app is DOWN! Also, app kicks you out always. cant turn that function off. 2ndly. wont execute buy or sells when you tell it too, quite frequently, causing lots ot losses that would have otherwise been profitable. Seconds do count in trading! Use questtrade! No 10$ trading fees likee RBC. Questrade is Quick. Also connects to Tradingview directly where RBC does not...

this has got to be one of the stupidest apps, everytime I try to log in it says the password is wrong even tho everything is right and whenever I try to reset thr password it either says my last name or Birthday is wrong or it says the function is unavailable the time and to try later but it says that everytime I try to reset so I have to reset it at thr bank itself, I shouldn't have to keep doing that if the app wasn't so bad at remembering what the passwords are
the worst bank ive ever been with , constant blackout of service , the machines eat your money and shut off for no reason, the customer service is terrible, just an overall bad experience, I highly recommend going with a different bank.
I will update this to 5 stars if you just add a native dark mode!!! May seem dumb, but it will greatly improve user experience. trust me. Keep in mind that the people using this app are coming from increasingly younger generations, and little things like dark mode are important to them. the style and appearance of a UI is what alot of these kids care about, and they will just use an app that looks cooler without hesitation (literally any other 3rd party banking app currently out there)

I see all you commercials about being there for your clients ....ABSOLUTELY FALSE ADVERTISING !!!! HAVE YOU READ THE OVERWHELMING AMOUNT OF COMMENTS REGARDING THIS APP ??? I EVEN READ ONE REPLY TO A CLIENT STATING THE BANK WAS UNAWARE OF ANY WIDESPREAD ISSUES WITH THE APP ! I HAVE BEEN WITH RBC FOR AT LEAST 25 YEARS AND HAVE RIPPED OFF AND TREATED LIKE A INSIGNIFICANT HUMAN BEING WHEN THE RARE OCCASION I'VE GONE INTO THE BRANCH !!!!
the app keeps crashing
I have had my Avion CC for decades and now they have assigned a 2nd validation which makes it incredibly awkward and frustrating getting into my account with no way of cancelling it. Wish they would leave well enough alone.
This app hasn't worked in months and RBC doesn't seem to have addressed this at all. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't fix the fact that the app itself is broken. At least update people on the fact that it is broken and when it might be available again. Update: I spent 35min on the phone with no success. Other users suggest the app isn't updated to android 16? Whatever the reason, it still doesn't work.
The app that gets worser after each update!!! everytime it sends push notification to the same device that I am signing from. If you are sending notification to the same device, don't you know it is already a trusted device? It used to happen in the previous version every now and then. After new update it happens every single time, now it started crashing in the middle.
Not user friendly. Wants photo verification for a payment transfer, but gives me no further option to continue and the payment has not gone through.

Limited transactons on browser but you cant download the app. i swotched fromma phone to a tablet amd now have to soend 2-3 days sending money over if its more than 500. BS.
RBC is garbage. Do what you need with this app to pay off your loans and switch banks asap. No customer support, doesn't address auth issues via online banking, even when youre able to get a hold of support, they can't help you.

I don't like this app at all
I have gone to the bank twice now to get a card sorted out the first time the messed setting up my pin and now they've set my account to the wrong setting so I cant withdraw money or pay using the card they sent me, im not writing this cause im mad im writing this cause this is so dumb
When you're a Schedule 1 and a Schedule 2 like Capital One has a better app....maybe it's time to invest in your customers and let the shareholders take a backseat for a little while
